Design and implementation of authentication method for accessing web service in PHP language
Pokorný, Jiří ; Kacálek, Jan (referee) ; Uchytil, Stanislav (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes the available principles of authentication for access to Web services. It compares necessary hardware, safety, financial costs, complexity of implementation and difficulty of maintenance and service. The second part deals with the design and implementation of a particular authentication method for access to Web applications in PHP using the MySQL relational database. There is selected the authentication method by SMS code with regards to mentioned characteristics of particular methods. It is also supplemented by the possibility of using a client certificate.
Network attacks by Cain & Abel
Smékal, Lukáš ; Stančík, Peter (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is dealt in the local area network security, cryptographic algorithms, particular attacks on computer networks a practical application these attacks in local area networks. To application particular attacks is used the Cain & Abel program. The detailed manual for this program is created from the results of these attacks. This manual contains the exhibits of usage particular program tools and the attack application exhibits. This manual considers consequences of particular attacks and summarises achieved results during work with tools too. Master thesis closely deals with one of the program tools called RSA SecureID Token Calculator. Authentication via hardware tokens is contained in this Master thesis. Thesis contains the way of authentication using RSA SecureID Token Calculator without physical owning of the hardware token. Cain & Abel program shows and interprets why cashed passwords in operation system are dangerous and it shows methods how attacker can reveal this passwords from the operation system memory. This Master thesis is focused on sniffing credentials and passwords in local area networks and it is focused on cryptographic algorithms cracking for username and passwords revealing.
Password deposition techniques in operating systems
Pavlík, Martin ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This master thesis deals with ways to store passwords in current operating systems. Specifically, this work focuses on Windows, Linux, BSD and OS X. These systems are examined for ways of hashing passwords and on resistance of resulting hashes against various attacks. First (theoretical) section describes the procedures and algorithms that are needed for user authentication. This part also describes methods of hash storing. At the end of the theoretical part are generally described some possible attacks against hash functions. In second (practical) part is described and tested tools for obtaining hashes of the investigated operating systems. Subsequently practical attacks were conducted against obtained hashes by using appropriate tools. Furthermore there are presented results of the attacks. In the conclusion of the work there is a comparison of tools and methods which were used to obtain plaintext passwords from operating systems.
Provisional Constellation 2015
Kadlčák, Šimon ; Vítková,, Lenka (referee) ; Cenek, Filip (advisor)
The book Boční pohled na zatmění Slunce (Side View on Solar Eclipse) is an artistic attempt to articulate own creative methodology. Simple verbal declamations, quotations from books and conceptual sketches may be understood as a headword complement to my work of past few years. If the reader is, by any reason, unacquainted to that work, the book should work as an autonomous poetical unit.
Analysis of password generators
Chirkova, Mayya ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Kalina, Tomáš (referee)
This bachelor's thesis occupies with comparison of random and memorable passwords. The work has two parts. In the first section of the thesis is presented the problems of the passwords using. The second (practical) part is analyzing the available passwords generators. As the main contribution of the thesis I see the familiarizing users with issues of memorable passwords and the way password's creating.
Security elements of electronic banking
Blaha, Ondřej ; Albrecht, Jakub (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
The aim of my bachelorel thesis is to give a comprehensive overview of the electronic banking area and its security, with main focus on safety features used for authentication. The theses describes the available forms of electronic banking and the principles and elements of authentication methods. The main contribution of this work is the analysis of the environment of electronic banking ČSOB Bank and evaluation of authentication methods that the bank offers its clients. The result is an assessment of the current security status and suggestions what should ČSOB bank focus on in this area.
Biometrics as a security element in banking
Pavliščák, Matúš ; Albrecht, Jakub (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
The aim of my Bachelor thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of biometrics as an applied security element within the banking sector. It describes various methods of biometrics-centric identification and data-processing. The main contribution of this thesis is its analysis of the case study conducted by Innovatrics, "The Introduction of Apple Pay and MasterCard Platforms," both of which implement biometrics in banking. The result is an assessment of the current state of usage of biometrics in banks around the world, compared to those within the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and suggestions for what local banks should focus on within the field.
Password management in the enterprise network
Turanský, Jan ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Klíma, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this bachelor work is to describe and evaluate the importance and options of password management in the enterprise. Almost each enterprise owns important documents with valuable information, which are saved to it' s servers or hard drives. Safe password management protects these information against attackers, who try to gain them and misuse. In a practical part is described actual password management in a specific enterprise with evaluation and with recommendation to improvement if necessary.
Czech-Spanish and Spanish-Czech printed dictionaries
BRABCOVÁ, Eva
The theme of this Bachelor thesis is the description of the Czech-Spanish and Spanish-Czech printed dictionaries. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part we dealt with the form and the content of bilingual dictionaries, with its macrostructure and microstructure. In the second part which is practical we analyzed selected Czech-Spanish and Spanish-Czech dictionaries and we compared its elements of structure. After the analysis of each dictionary we mentioned the evaluation of the dictionary. At the end of the work we summarized the evaluations. We mainly used the dictionaries containing commonly used vocabulary. Smaller part of the analyzed dictionaries is focused on economic vocabulary.
Online Password Manager
Ort, Štěpán ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mészáros, Jan (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to show on which principles a modern password manager works. The introductory theoretical part describes cryptographic algorithms and evaluates whether they are suitable for use in current applications. At the same time it presents methods how to create a password which is strong and also easily remembered. The second part explains the key characteristics of a password manager. The last chapter illustrates the architecture of online password storage and the way of communicating with the password manager. Measures that have to be taken in order to make such storage secure are also described here.
