Multimedialization of news agency production focused on infographical service

In the era of digitalization and internet, news agencies are attempting to use all available instruments in the best possible quality to provide information effectively while stressing out accuracy, clarity and understandability. Especially for this reasons, multimedia service forms an integral part of news agency production. Using the advantages of various tables, graphs, diagrams or multidimensional animation, readers can be easily informed about current events and affairs and they are able to watch those events that are unlikely to be captured on a video. This work deals with the process of multimedialization of news agency production with examples of infographical service. In theoretical part, it ruminates over following aspects - the term of multimedialization, activity and functioning of news agencies and production of effective information graphics. In its practical part, it describes the production of infographics in the Czech News Agency, both in present and in history. The quantification of infographical production in years from 1992 to 2011 and its interpretation is also offered in this work.

Economic vs. regulatory capital of financial institutions

Economic vs. regulatory capital of financial institutions This thesis is focused on Assets and Liability Management connected with economic and regulatory capital. The main aim is to analyze development of these capitals and their influence on bank's output. In the first, theoretical, part of thesis we follow up the division of risk categories, we define an economic capital and its management and quantification methods. Then we focused on development of international bank regulation and its current and future state. The regulatory capital is defined as well as its management. The last chapter of theoretical part is dedicated to ratings. Then the most important, analytical, part follows. We analyze data of top 50 world banks from year 2007 to 2011. We use especially quantitative methods and OLS regression. We investigate development of economic and regulatory capital during and after the crisis and changes in division of risks they cover. We looking for a relationship between these capitals as well as its impact on bank's rating. At the end of the analysis we focused on relationship between capital adequacy and bank's profitability and we consider reasons of bank's lack of transparency about economic capital. Alpine glaciers retreat after little ice age and its relation to climate changes

This thesis deals with climatic changes and its influence on mountain glaciers in Alps since the little ice age to present. Knowledge published in domestic and foreign literature is applied to the example of Morteratsch glacier in swiss Alps and high elevation meteorological station Sonnblick in austrian Alps. Alpine mountain range is one of the most researched and the longest populated mountain ranges in the world. For this reasons we have for use long time period of meteorological and glaciological datasets.

Fairy tale and its meaning in a modern family

5 Abstract This thesis deals with fairy tale and its meaning and using in a modern family. The theoretical part focuses on definition of terms fairy tale and family and points on their characteristic signs and functions, briefly mentions development of fairy tale and family throughout history, points at fairy tale in a context of children's thinking and feeling and offers a psychological characteristics of four selected fairy tales. The empirical part applies both quantitative and qualitative methods of processing the data, which were obtained from a questionnaire that was answered by 135 people. Its purpose is to find out the most frequent form of contact of a child with fairy tales, to learn which person reads or tells fairy tales to a child the most often and to show which versions of fairy tales are most common among children. This thesis also analyses opinions of parents on meaning of fairy tales in a life of a child and family and defines the reasons which parents have for reading or nonreading of fairy tales. Using statistics methods, there were shown some significant differences between audiovisual and read/told form of a contact of children with fairy tales, differences were also shown between the groups of mothers and fathers in a frequencies of reading fairy tales to their children and it was...

Politicians in permanent campaigning: four leaders in Czech parliamentary elections in 2010

This thesis deals with the topic of political communication. Its objective is to describe the transformation of communication of political parties and politicians in today's western world. Society has changed and voters are less involved in traditional social relations and their behaviour is very difficult to predict. Moreover, differences in ideological background between parties has become less evident. Political parties thus have to invent new strategies to attract voters. The most important feature of political parties' communication is that it is indirect, mediated. Parties have to build very good relationships with journalists. It is of high importance to collaborate enough with the media. For this reason, other characteristics of political leardes are required than formerly. The today's politician has to evoke good image and appeal to citizens. To reach this goal, political and media consultans are paid and the use of opinion polls has become fundamental. These trends indicate that politics and governance has transformed into the so called permanent campaigning. We can see this tendency in the US and in the countries of western Europe. On the "national" awareness of citizens of major Moravian royal towns in the Middle Ages and in the Early Modern Period

Sources usable for studies of national situation in Moravian royal towns in the Middle Ages and in the Early Modern Period don't reflect any animosities based primarily on ethnical reasons. Therefore we cannot suppose any higher level of reflected national awareness at burgers and towns' citizens; there was more important to which country they belonged, however this nationality equally included members of both strongest language groups (Czech and German).

Foreign direct investment in the Czech - Taiwan relationship

The paper deals with the role of FDI in a country's economic development. First the economic development and the role of FDI in this process is described for Czech Republic and Taiwan. Further, the relationships between the two countries and EU as a major international player are analyzed. Next a comparison of the economic development and FDI in both of the named countries is carried out. In the the mutual economic and FDI relationships between Czech Republic and Taiwan are analysed. These relationships are demosntrated on the case of taiwanese FDI in Czech Republic including the reasons which lead the investor's decisions.

Data integration and automatic task processing

This diploma thesis deals with automatic task processing, especially with automatic processing of forms on web pages. The thesis throws light on the theoretical and practical matter. At the beginning of this thesis are described the reasons, why this topic were chosen. Also there are mentioned the possible uses of application, realized on this principles. Foremost simplification of retrieval of data with standardized (but general) format from common users, which could be used for data mining process. For creating this kind of application is described concepts of its implementation, including description of problematic parts and their possible solution. In this part is mentioned algorithm, which deals with security limitation of current web browsers -- so-called cross-site scripting. One part of this thesis is description of current commercial and non-commercial solutions, which at least partly fulfills the demands of the application. At the conclusion is analyzed functionality of created application and proposed advancements and improvements for creating new versions of application

The development of the Czech system of insurance after 2000

The thesis is focused on the development of the Czech system of insurance in last eight years. The aim of the paper is to analyse the development of the Czech insurance market by several indicators and to find the reasons for this development. The thesis covers the most important moments that influenced the Czech insurance market like the floods in 2002 or joining the EU and the legislative changes resulting from it. Modern trends that started to appear in the Czech insurance market like IT innovations, bankassuarance or CRM, are also mentioned in my thesis.

Insurance of tour operators

This bachelor thesis deals with insurance of tour operators. At the beginning are characterized differences between tour operators and travel agents that have to be distinguished for this insurance product. The second chapter focuses on development of tour operators insurance in the Czech Republic. There is described the legislative process of the law 159/1999 Sb and its amendment about some conditions of entrepreneurship in the field of tourism. There are also specified conditions for gaining and sustaining guarantee insurance in case of tour operator bankruptcy. A part of the chapter is devoted to the bank guarantee and the state supervision. The next chapter provides an overview of insurance companies that offer this type of insurance. Last two chapters are more practical. One of them analyses the amendment of the law 159/1999 Sb. issued on 1 January 2016. There are summarized reasons of this amendment and comparison of the law before and after the amendment. The other practical chapter describes the reasons of bankruptcy of tour operator called Marine Tour and the procedure in case of tour operator bankruptcy. The conclusion summarizes recommendations for a selection of a suitable tour operator.
