Development and maintenance of addictive behaviour in terms of psychoanalysis
Tomášková, Eva ; Hajný, Martin (referee) ; Kalina, Kamil (advisor)
In the area of addictive behaviour, psychoanalytic approaches are very often criticized or completely neglected. Nevertheless they could significantly contribute to the treatment of addictions, especially in its final stage. Their main contribution is in searching for origins and causes of the addiction. In the therapy they could help to reveal inner conflicts and traumas, and to facilitate their understanding and acceptance. The main aim of my thesis is to illustrate the contribution of psychoanalytic approaches in the treatment of addiction. Furthermore an effort is made to point out, that if the psychotherapy is enriched by psychoanalysis, and further criteria are fulfilled, the treatment can acquire a deeper meaning, and the probability of its efficiency increases. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents an overview of psychoanalytical theories of the origin and development of addiction. It describes some features of the addicted people from the psychoanalytical point of view and the part is completed by necessary critical evaluation. The empirical part contains a case study of a woman who is addicted to alcohol. On her case I try to illustrate the psychoanalytical views of on the rise and development of addictive behaviour. Data are obtained from...

Compensational exercises in the prevention and therapy of the locomotive system in the area of martial art
Ludvík, Jan ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with functional disorders of the locomotory system in people devoted to martial arts as well as the utilization of compensatory exercising to the possibility of prevention and therapy. Movement therapy in this case is represented exclusively by appropriate selection of compensatory exercises. Provided that it is being performed correctly and regularly, this exercises may have a great positive importance in the therapeutic process, whether healing or preventive. The compensatory exercising stems from kinesiotherapy. Kinesiotherapy holds the priority position in the treatment of disorders and diseases of the locomotory system. Its main task is the restoration of the motion function - mainly muscular, which has the most important status in the locomotory system of humans - and the elimination of defective locomotory stereotypes. An exact and objective diagnosis is the most important condition for the successful application of the kinesiotherapy. In addressing muscular imbalance, the procedure focuses on the stretch of shortened postural muscles and strengthening of weakened phasic muscles. The hypermobility requires special therapy. Relaxation exercising can relax painful stiff motion segments.

Career prospects after spinal cord injury and preapring them
Stará, Kateřina ; Svěcená, Kateřina (referee) ; Faltýnková, Zdena (advisor)
This paper deals with employment opportunities for people with spinal cord injuries, the problems associated with spinal injuries, and legislation regarding the employment of handicapped individuals. The paper consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the problems associated with spinal cord injuries, defines spinal programmes and ergotherapeutic interventions for spinal patients, deals with the importance of work in people's lives, and describes legislation regarding the employment of the handicapped and ergonomics. The practical part includes a questionnaire designed to outline employment opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injuries, as well as a methodology description that further explains and substantiates the methods used. Data was collected during an internship at Centrum Paraple on 27 June - 28 August 2009. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive look at the employment of handicapped individuals. At the same time, it also prompts further research into these problems.

The dissertation is divided into two sections, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part discusses the occupational therapy in rehabilitation of the CVA patients and the ways of examination of the cognitive functions by an occupational therapist. Further it introduces the ONO test, its main characteristics and subtests of this battery of tests. Methods: case study of two patients after cerebrovascular accident with aphasia at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. THE ROLE OF EUROPEAN FUNDS IN DEALING WITH THE UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE DISTRICT OF CESKA LIPA WITHIN THE PERIOD 2007 - 2011
Chromáčková, Klára ; Durdisová, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Szabová, Lucia (referee)
The thesis deals with unemployment in the district of Ceska Lipa within the period 2007 -- 2011. During this time, two of main employers in the region dismissed large number of its employees. The massive layoffs during the economic crisis meant significant increase in the unemployment rate, especially when a number of vacancies was declining. Thus, labour office in Ceska Lipa decided to use resources from the European Social Fund and implement projects called "Restart for Ceskolipsko" and "Restart means a new chance" The thesis deals with the impact of these project on unemployment in the district, quantifies the costs of projects, how many participants within the projects succeeded or failed to employ. In addition, the aim of this thesis is to find out whether the projects implementation affected the occupational structure in the district, early retirement and the development of labor conditions in the region.

Molecular Pathology of Acute Intermittent Porphyria
Hrdinka, Matouš
Molecular Pathology of Acute Intermittent Porphyria Author: Matouš Hrdinka Acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) is autosomal dominant disorder caused by the partial deficiency of porphobilinogen deaminase (PBGD), the third enzyme in the heme biosynthetic pathway. AIP is manifested by life-threatening acute neurological attacks that can be provoked by various factors such as drugs or alcohol. Objective of this study was to identify and characterize the molecular lesions in Czech and Slovak AIP patients. To identify disease-causing mutations screening was performed by PCR, denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), automated DNA sequencing and restriction fragment lenght polymorphism (RFLP) assays. Total of 35 individuals from 8 families were analyzed to detect asymptomatic carriers. Seven mutations were identified, including 3 novel mutations. Of particular interest, one patient had two mutations R173Q and Q204K, both located in exon 10 on the same allele. To further characterize these mutations, human PBGD was cloned into the pGEX-4T-1 vector and mutations were generated by site-directed mutagenesis. The wild-type and mutated enzyme species were expressed in E. coli as GST fusions and purified by affinity chromatography. Conditions of the PBGD enzyme assay were determined and specific...

Venereal diseases and their pharmacotherapy
Studená, Romana ; Melicharová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Trejtnar, František (referee)
VENEREAL DISEASES AND THEIR PHARMACOTHERAPY Romana Studená The aim of my work is: To divide primary venereal diseases, characterize particular illnesses, specify their origins, diagnostic methods, clinical symptoms, then to give a summary of remedies used in therapy, divide medicaments into relevant groups and name commercial preparations presently available. The dissertation is oriented not only towards primary venereal diseases but also on other infections which are transmited mainly by sexual intercourse, so-called STDs - Sexual Transmitted Diseases. Venereal diseases are expanded particulary because of the decreasing influence in this problems in upbringing, changing opinions on the gravity of sexual intercourse and venereal diseases, heightened sex life and promiscuity, international tourism and other international movements of population, prostitution and the growing number of transmissions of venereal diseases by homosexual people. Also taking drugs and drinking alcohol increase the danger of getting these illnesses. Due to drugs, namely legal or illegal, people shed their restraint, they fail to attend to responsible manners and this leads to a denial of the rules of safe sex. Venereal diseases are medicable, but there are also complications and it can cause serious health problems and after...
