Use of autologous material in Middle Ear Surgery
Školoudík, Lukáš ; Vokurka, Jan (advisor) ; Smilek, Pavel (referee) ; Skřivan, Jiří (referee)
Use of Autologous Material in Middle Ear Surgery The use of autologous material in kofosurgery has been preferred to that of homologous or aloplastic materials in most situations. However, the use of autologous material in patients with cholesteatoma has been limited by the risk of harbouring residual disease. In the clinical part of the study we investigated the relationship between residual cholesteatoma and the method of reconstruction of the middle ear ossicles. Regarding the histological findings, two methods of middle ear ossicle treatment were suggested. The first method tested was mechanical clearance of the ossicles by stripping and burring their surfaces under microscopic view. The mechanical treatment was successful in all cases of mildly eroded ossicles. In cases of severely eroded ossicles, this method was unsuccessful. The second method tested was autoclaving of the ossicle for four minutes at 134 řC after mechanical cleaning. The combination of mechanical and thermal treatment eliminated the cholesteatoma entirely in all cases, including those with severely eroded ossicles. In the experimental part of the study we investigated the reaction of the middle ear mucosa after autoclaving the ossicles and also observed any changes to the ossicles over time since implantation. In an animal experiment...

Regulation of adiponectin and its isoforms production in human obesity
Kováčová, Zuzana ; Štich, Vladimír (advisor) ; Hainer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kazdová, Ludmila (referee) ; Rossmeisl, Martin (referee)
It is apparent that the imbalance in energy intake and expenditure coming hand-to-hand with the "westernisation" of our lifestyle leads to an elevated number of overweight and obese individuals that are commonly in a greater risk of developing chronic complications (e.g. insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) with increased mortality. The development of obesity-related complications closely relate with dysfunction of adipose tissue leading to the peripheral insulin resistance and metabolic disruption of insulin sensitive organs (e.g. muscle, liver) subsequently inducing whole body insulin resistance. Since adipose tissue is the biggest endocrine organ in the human body producing many hormones influencing functions of adipose tissue itself or other organs, alteration of their spectrum has been revealed as one of the possible inductors or contributors disturbing body energy homeostasis. Adipose tissue serves as a major site for storage of surplus nutritions, however, long-term positive energy imbalance and high dose calorie intake lead not only to expansion of fat mass but mainly to the pathological changes of the tissue. In states of obesity, adipose tissue is under constant metabolic stress, resulting in the activation of the stress and inflammatory response. It leads to...

Influence of visceral adipose tissue mass on energy expenditure
Alexandrová, Pavla ; Štich, Vladimír (advisor)
Obesity represents a serious chronic metabolic disorder that is characterized by an increased proportion of fat on the body composition of the current weight gain above the normal range. Obesity is to be understood as a disease, while an important risk factor contributing to the emergence of a number other diseases. Android (abdominal, visceral) obesity is characterized by increased Visceral fat plays an important role in the etiopathogenesis of non-communicable diseases mass occurrence, which are included under the term metabolic syndrome - insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, stroke, gout, dyslipidemia, in a broader sense also hyperuricaemia, coagulation disorders, and others. Gynoid (gluteofemorální) Obesity is a metabolic point of view to give less risk of complications.

Glucose-metabolism pathology during pregnancy
Lišková, Michala ; Andělová, Kateřina (advisor)
Pregnancy of patients with DM is risk. Mother may be threatened by the development of acute and chronic complications of diabetes, hypertension, frequent occurrence of infectious diseases and maternal mortality. Risks for the fetus are premature birth or abortion, diabetic embryopathy, including congenital malformations, and diabetic fetopathy with fetal macrosomia and postnatal hypoglycaemia. The risk for later development of diabetes in children of diabetic mothers is 1.3%. The pre-conception care is insist on planning pregnancy to term of good compensation. Diabetes care in pregnancy include insulin therapy or insulin's pump. Diet is not different from the diet before pregnancy, it is possible higher energy intake in the 2nd and 3 trimester. The most serious complications of pregnancy with DM consequences for the fetus and mother are diabetic retinopathy and diabetic nephropathy. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) develops on the basis of protein glycation glomerulus basement membrane, other factors are hypertension and hyperfiltration. Creatinine clearance less than 125 micromol / l diastolic pressure below 85 mm Hg prognosis of pregnancy is good. At present pre-conception significantly altered renal function, a pregnancy is not recommended. The most common disabilities in the fetal complications as premature...

Actuarial approach to credit risk modelling
Benešová, Milena ; Mandl, Petr (referee) ; Benková, Markéta (advisor)
This thesis deals with one of the models for the credit risk measurement - the model CreditRisk+. The theoretical part describes the theory which is the basis for this model. Further, the thesis demonstrates an applicative example of calculation distribution of default losses. The model uses Poisson distribution as the distribution of the number of defaults from this we can proceed to the distribution of default losses which is output from this model. The theoretical part also presents two variants of this model. The first of this variant is the calculation of the distribution of default losses with fixed default rates. The main asset of this model is the second variant which calculates with the variable default rates. The applied part deals with the recurrence relation which is described with the model-makers. This thesis deals with the combination of CreditRisk+ with the another model known as CreditMetrics, too. The calculation is realized on the basis of Monte Carlo's simulation of the future portfolio. The aim of this part is to demonstrate how this model is applicable in practise.

Data Governance Implementing Method
Slouková, Anna ; Slánský, David (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis refers to Data Governance issue and the way of implementing this program. It is logically devided into two parts -- theoretical and practical one. The teoretical part represented by first chapter summarises actual findings about the Data Governance program, it explains what is hidden behind the term Data Governance, cause for Data Governance initiatives emergence, it itemizes particular parts of which the program is composed and basic, mostly software tools, that are necessary for successful program run. Practical part consists of second and third chapter. The second chapter contains enumeration of various types of outputs that grow up either during the implementation of program or in its run itself. It categorizes and deals in detail with processes and activities, organizational structure of the program, dokuments, used metrics and KPIs and IS/IT tools. Third chapter describes the process of implementing the program into an enterprise in detail. It is devided into four consequential phases -- assessment of current state, design, implementation and run of the program. In every chapter, there are inputs, outputs, detailed decomposition into particular activities with references to document tepmlates that are used during theese activities, risks and resources introduced. In two attachments of this thesis, there are two helpful documents -- general document teplate and teplate of a role description -- that serve to better implementation of Data Governance program.
