Millennium Development Goals: Comparison and Analysis of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia
Bunatyan, Hayk ; Cahlík, Tomáš (advisor) ; Chytilová, Julie (referee)
This thesis analyses three South Caucasus countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The main point of analysis is the eight Millennium Development goals created by United Nations, during Summit on September 8, 2000. Each of the countries will be analyzed individually and then compared with each other to see the strong and weak points of each of the countries in the process of reaching the eight MDG goals. I will try to include all-important factors, which may play role in distinguishing those points. The main goal of my thesis is to prove and try to show that my hypotheses, which are mentioned below in the thesis proposal are really actual and might benefit the South Caucasus region.

Awareness of contagious disease in mind of pupils at basic and secondary schools.
Peštová, Ilona ; Rajsiglová, Ina (advisor) ; Fraiberk, Martin (referee)
Infectious diseases are a very hot topic nowadays in society. In recent years, there were several epidemics, infectious diseases (hepatitis A, Avian influenza, pandemic influenza A) and nobody knows when will the next "new" infection. At the outbreak of epidemics, there is great interest in the company to obtain information about the disease, but often also to unnecessary panic, because the media often publish incorrect information. It would be preferable, in order to improve public awareness and prevent the unnecessary spread of disease. Great emphasis should be given to prevent the disease - primarily on immunization, hygiene rules and principles of safe sex. Quality information should be mainly from teachers in teaching their pupils, as is clear from research books, infectious diseases are only mentioned in textbooks and the number of substantive information in them is missing. The fact that pupils of primary schools and grammar schools with basic information on infectious diseases do not meet in the classroom, evidenced by the results of a survey carried out in the 6th classes and first year at selected elementary schools and grammar schools in Prague. To raise awareness of the pupils in school was to create a methodical manual for teachers, which summarizes information about bacterial and...
Yellow rust protection on the wheat
Hanzalová, Alena ; Bartoš, Pavel
Heavy incidence of yellow rust in the years 2014 and 2015 has proved high deleterious effects of this rust. For this reason this publication deals with yellow rust on wheat. Rusts on wheat cause losses every year. In the years of an epidemic yield can be decreased by more than a half. Epidemics of stem rust and yellow rust occur in irregular intervals. Leaf rust causes damage every year particularly in central and southern part of Moravia. Chemical control limits yield losses, however in the case of heavy rust incidence this control particularly on susceptible cultivars is not sufficient. Repeated chemical treatments increase the costs and are limited by phytosanitary regulations. Economic and ecologic rust control consists in resistance breeding and growing resistant cultivars. Knowledge of virulence in the rust poppulation and suitable sources of resistance are prerequisites for successful resistance breeding. This publication presents a summary of data from literature on the yellow rust on wheat. Data on resistance of the grown cultivars and possibilities of the chemical control are included.

The reasons for human life prolonging comparing the regions of the Czech republic
Šimonková, Karolína ; Šimpach, Ondřej (advisor) ; Cséfalvaiová, Kornélia (referee)
The thesis discusses the reasons for human life prolonging and studies diseases mortality evolution from 1994 to 2012. The paper focuses on possible reasons for increasing or decreasing of specific diseases mortality. The diseases are examined in all individual Czech regions. The changes of average human age are calculated by using absolute growth rates, both for the Czech Republic and for each Czech region in the period 1994 to 2012. The thesis also ascertains the degree of dependence between population living standards and the average age at death. Living standard is evaluated according to socioeconomic aspects.
Diseases depicted in fine arts
FÜRSTOVÁ, Anežka
Diseases in the arts represent a broad and little-explored topic. There is no consistent publication in the available literature. This theme deals with the scientific discipline of palaeopathology, which investigates diseases of past human and animal populations. This work contains description of how diseases, injuries and congenital defects are depicted in fine arts. At first the palaeopathology, its history, sources and the difficulties associated with the verification of the data are elaborated. The main part of the work involves classification of diseases found in the fine arts and its analysis, which is supplemented by historical context. The aim is to gather knowledge of diseases that appear in the visual arts, using available literature.
