The Pauline epistles from the viewpoint of feminist theological critique

This diploma thesis focuses on chosen texts by feminist theologists and their critical elevation on particular extracts from the Pauline epistles that refer to women and their position in the patriarchal ordering of society. My main intention is to examine how feminist theologists work with selected feminist concepts and to which extent they take them into account. By the help of a gender analysis of the chosen texts from feminist theologists I also try to prove that they do not take gender into account in a sufficient way. As my method I have chosen the qualitative conent analysis of feminist theological texts. In the end I can say that feminist theologists take gender issues more into account than I expected. Nevertheless, at places where they do not take these issues into account, their arguments lack for impact. Feminist theologists work well with feminist concepts, I do however recommend to take them into account more as I recommended with gender issues.

Education of adults: approach of Polish andragogues

The dissertation work called Education of Adults: Approach of Polish Andragogues, presents the problems of development of the adults education. Those are shown on the example of a country bordering on the Czech Republic - Poland. The work focuses our attention to presentation of theoretical knowledge from the sphere of the education of adults during historical events in 19th & 21th century. By means of the interpretation of views and ideas of education of adults given by pioneers of Polish andragogy, the work makes meeting a number of big names in this field possible. It is a rich and valuable source of information and their influence on the formation and development of the basis of andragogy. Also their participation in establishing and governing public education institutions, theoretical and scientific activities, building traditions have continued up to the present. A part of the work are supplements showing a clearly arranged system of education in Poland. Here we can also find university degrees, annotations of chosen periodicals, a complete list of names of edited titles (1994 - 2006) of the edition Library of Education of Adults. Drug Problems in Ostrožská Nová Ves from the Perspective of the Inhabitants - Comparison with the Real Situation

The aim of my work is to show the problems of drug abuse in the village Ostrožská Nová Ves. In the main part I try to analyse the results of my research made among the inhabitants of the village during July and August 2006. I also add some information about the situation gained thanks to interviews with two specialists - Mr. Petr Voráč, a policeman of the police department in Uherské Hradiště who specializes in the problems of drug abuse, and Mrs. Jana Nohalová, a social worker and head of the social department in Uherské Hradiště. Except their ideas I also used the statistics of the Czech police and the region Zlín. In my work I compare this information with the results of my research. The Effective determination of social priorities otherwise "the priorities have antecedences"

The thesis concentrates on the problems of community priorities identification in the context of municipality decision making process on strategic level. By the next step follows assessment of several types of methods, which are usually used by priority identification process. These methods are described shortly and then evaluate by specific criteria (their strengths and weakness). There is also an application part of the thesis, where is suggest an innovative method for community priorities identification, so called PRIOR method. This method joins advantages of partial methods and eliminates their drawbacks. Method PRIOR was tested in tree phases, which are finally evaluate. First results are very positive. Input expectations were validate and there is a potential for practical applications.

Vlastnosti universálního hašování

The aim of this work is to create a model of hashing with an acceptable worst case time complexity. The model is based on the idea of universal hashing and the expected time of every operation is constant. The used universal class of functions consists of linear transformations between vector spaces. This class has already been studied with a good asymptotic result. This work improves the result and proves that the expected amortised time of the scheme is constant.

Smoking, health risks, preventive approaches

The aim of my bachelor's work has been to summarize the knowledge dealing with smoking, its risks and possibilities of preventive regulations. Smoking is the most important preventable reason of death in the world. It is responsible not only for serious addiction, but it has also significant economic, social and health concequences. Smoking participate in cardiovascular diseases by 20-25%, by approximately 30% smoking causes tumorous diseases and last but not least smoking causes 75% of chronic respiratory diseases. Prevalence in adult smokers in the ČR reaches approximately 27%. The fact that smoking does not appear only in adults is proven by the fact that in our country 35% children aged 13-15 years smoke. Statistics also show that 13% of expectant mothers smoke. First chapters of my work are devoted to general information about smoking. These parts include the substantial information about nicotine addiction, history of tobacco and types of tobacco products. I have also included the problem of passive smoking into my work as this social phenomenon kills and causes diseases. Remaining parts of my work are focused not only on health risks of smoking but also on effective prevention. At the very conclusion. I deal with detoxication, treatment and law which concerns control of tobacco products.

Nursing care of patient with prostate cancer

For a long time I am interested in the issue of patients terminally ill and dying, especially in the context of palliative and hospice care. It is for this reason I chose a case study of a patient with advanced disease for whom curative medicine has exhausted all its possibilities, and for which the ideal has become a palliative care provided in a hospice inpatient facility. In this work, first I present the anatomy and physiology of the prostate gland / prostate cancer, the pathophysiological basis of prostate cancer, diagnosis and treatment options, and basic patient data, all in the clinical part. The nursing section deals with the idea of palliative medicine and hospice care specifics, according to which the patient was maintained throughout the nursing process. In drawing up the plan of care, I focused on searching for current and potential patient problems and their effective solutions. I lined nursing problems / diagnoses according to priorities. For each diagnosis, I identified the target, which should realistically be achieved and accordingly determine the appropriate nursing interventions. In conclusion, I assess the process and outcome enrolled. Nursing section concludes psychological evaluation and patient education. The development of the Catholic Church view on the human rights problems in the 19th and 20th century

The dissertation describes the development of the Catholic Church's view on the human rights problems during the period form the time of Great French revolution until pontificate of John XXIII. Different perspectives and its views on human rights of every pope are reflected in the encyclics. It is explained in the introduction, that the idea of the human rights was not new to the Catholic Church. It considered human's freedom a gift from God. According to the Catholic Church people had duties towards God and had to listen to him and therefore the Catholic Church was against unlimited freedom during the period of the Enlightenment and Great French revolution. The Catholic Church was afraid of destroying Catholic religion and as a result it was against revolutionary propagation of human rights and modern ideas. Pope Pius IX. announced all modern ideas and new movements as nonsense. There was a change in the approach of Leo XIII. when he started to dedicate to social problems, particularly the social question. His successor Pius X. came back to tradition of Pius IX., who interfered against modernism in the Catholic Church. Elderly volunteering for active aging. The possibilities of involvement for older people in Liberec region

Téma této diplomové práce vychází z dlouhodobého zájmu o sociální práci se seniory a rovněž o dobrovolnictví, které mě cestou dobrovolnických programů nakonec přivedlo k současné práci koordinátorky dobrovolnického programu "Pro seniory" v Regionálním dobrovolnickém centru Ještěd, o.s. v Liberci. Tento program usiluje o podporu plnohodnotného života seniorů prostřednictvím zapojení dobrovolníků do péče o seniory v Libereckém kraji a zároveň poskytuje seniorům příležitost k aktivnímu trávení volného času a snaží se podporovat jejich začlenění do života společnosti. Myšlenku zpracovat práci věnující se dobrovolnictví seniorů podpořil ještě více zahraniční pobyt ve Francii. Díky programu Erasmus na Université de Picardie de Jules Veme ve městě Amiens, jsem během mého pobytu měla možnost absolvovat stáž v organizaci AGIR abcd. Tato oragnizace sdružovala seniory, kteří jako dobrovolníci předávali své zkušenosti v dalších organizacích. Idea zapojení dobrovolníků seniorů, kterou jsem se zabývala již dříve, mi přišla velmi zajímavá, a proto jsem se rozhodla toto téma zpracovat. Teoretická část práce podává ucelený pohled na problematiku stárnutí. Vychází z demografických aspektů, které mají vliv na stárnutí populace, zabývá se specifiky a pohledem současné společnosti na stáří, odchodem do důchodu jako významným...

Iplementation of Business Intelligence into warehouse of spare parts

This thesis is focused on topics of Business Intelligence, Balanced Scorecard and its implementation in agricultural company Novak Co. Both methods will be applied to section warehouse of spare parts. Warehouse by Novak Co. deals with provision of spare parts for own consumption and sale of spare parts to external customers. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part deals with a description of essential ideas of BSC and BI. Practical part deals with examination of gained knowledge by implementation BSC and BI to warehouse by Novak Co.. To begin with, the first chapter is focused on Balanced Scorecard methodology. There is a description of principles BSC, description of company goals via four perspectives and the definition of strategic map. There are described basic principles of BI, multidimensionality, main components of BI application and a few definitions of BI from different sources in the second charter. In theoretical part, there are mentioned a few thesis, which deals with the same or similar subject, like this thesis. The practical part is focused on design of pilot project of BI solution for the warehouse of spare parts in the company Novak Co.. At first there was processed the analysis of BSC and the analysis of accessible resources in order to determine possibilities and requests for BI application. Based on requests there is designed the data warehouse, ETL tools and OLAP cubes. Reporting is carried out by MS Excel 2007. The Outputs of BI application are based on real company's requests. The main benefit of this thesis is to demonstrate the usability of BI tools and BSC methodology in section of warehouse of spare parts.
