The Importance of Motivation for a Leadership

Presented diploma thesis follows up a theme of employee motivation as one of the means of leadership practice. First theoretical part is focused on management theory, leadership proceeding from management practice and it presents how to motivate employees so they would work more efficient and satisfactory for an employer and for themselves. At the end of the theoretical part there is a brief introduction of business organisation itself, its structure. There are presented different types of organisational structure and types of leadership. Practical part follows with an issue concerning motivation of employees in a case study of practice in a specific company. It shows how employees are motivated and how this specific company uses motivational tools. Employees were all addressed in an anonymous questionnaire to give their opinion about this practice. The form contained questions about employees position in a company structure, their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with this position and what is their motivation. Based on the questionnaire the evaluation of main research thesis was made and concluded into recommendation for the company so the motivation of their employees would be as effective as possible as well as they would feel needed on their position and thus stay loyal to the company.

The thesis follows up the interpretation of the administrative proceedings pursuant to Act no. 500/2004 Coll., Administrative Procedure. It begins with the history and development of the administrative proceedings in the Czech Republic. The aim is to further clarify the basic principles of administrative bodies. The main part explains the general provisions on administrative proceedings, for example what administrative bodies exist, what is a participant in the proceeding and which tasks it makes. Further follows its own course of the proceedings at first instance. This is the initiation of the procedure, its progress and the possibility of an appeal. The last part deals with administrative proceedings under special laws. This is the procedure for non-payment of social security contributions and state employment policy. The thesis describes the methods of execution order from the social security against debtors

The Dutch disease theory and its application to countries with independent monetary policy and members of monetary union

This diploma thesis aims to give a comprehensive picture of a phenomenon called The Dutch Disease whose symptoms had been increasing in many countries during the second half of the 20th century, especially in connection with mining. The first part deals with the detailed description of traditional economic theory and its later upgrades. In the second part, the Dutch Disease theory is applied to the member countries of the European Monetary Union and highlights the problems of asymmetric shocks, which may include among others the discovery of mineral resources. The third part then attempts to look at the recent European balance of payments crisis through the eyes of the Dutch Disease theory and to highlight a number of common symptoms.

Application of Balanced Scorecard

The concept of the Balanced Scorecard taking a part in the strategic management of a company, is a main focus of this thesis. There are the theoretical and methodological parts of the Balanced Scorecard characterized individually, as well as the development and the history of this concept. This thesis is dealing with a draft of the practical implementation of the mentioned methods. The practical part of the thesis is following the theoretical introduction where the practical part is focused on a practical application of the Balanced Scorecard method for a specific company. The company is specified by the Corporate Performance and Business Model Canvas by using the PESTEL Analysis, Porter's Five Forces Model and Financial SWOT Analysis. The company strategy is specified based on the previous conclusions. The set strategy is an underlies for a follow-up Balanced Scorecard, where causal links between the intended targets and the strategy are displayed in the Strategic Map. The implementation of the strategy to the everyday use of the company is a part of the thesis, as well.

The Development of small company

The theme of this diploma work is to define of a business aim for a concrete small-sized enterprise and to transform it into a business plan. The first part is an entry to the sector of small and middle-sized enterprises; there are definitions of specific attributes of these enterprises, thein advantages and disadvantages, and their importance for an economy. In the sekond part is presented a ground of a theory for a business plan and SWOT analyse The next part is practical part of diplom work. In the practical part is suggested and work up the business plan of founding of small enterprises.

The Importance of Tourism in the Southern EU Countries

This diploma thesis deals with the importance of tourism for a group of states which includes Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece. The aim of this thesis is to identify the importance of tourism to the economy and to interconnect it with the competitiveness of those countries in tourism via an analysis of the current situation in tourism and via analysing the effects that tourism has on these economies in the past last five years. The first chapter explains the most important terms concerning the subject in theory. The next chapter introduces tourism within the PIGS economies and the third chapter is devoted to tourism competitiveness of the southern EU countries and creates a predicition of their future development in tourism.

The development of central bank's activity in Czech republic since 1989

The aim of this thesis is to analyse central bank's status progress in Czech Republic and its functioning with focus on crucial changes in Czech financial framework since 1989. Reason I chose this topic was that we currently find ourselves in financial and economic crisis, behind which occurrence are logically activities of central banks. Theoretical part is aiming to describe general theory of central banking, determination of banking system and scope, functions and instruments of the central bank. Analytical part is going to describe legislative scope of activities of the Czech central bank since 1989 until now at first. Afterwards, I am going to analyse activities' progress of the central bank in two basic areas, i. e. monetary policy and supervision.

To the analysis of the bearing stiffness influence on the amplitude frequency characteristic of the gear wheels.This contribution deals with the theory of planar steady damped oscillation of the isolated pair of spur gear, which is in two orthogonal direction elastically suspended. The analysis of the periodical solution was carried out by means of transformation of the differential boundary-value problem to the integral problem with the successive approximation and simulation method. The purpose is the determination of the bearing stiffness influence on the dynamic force in gearing mesh.


Make a Connection - Expectations and Goals

This master's thesis is concerned with the theory of setting goals, their implementation, management and assessment within the Czech NGOs both in the organizational theories and in the practice. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a comparative analysis of the organizational goals in the for-profit and the public sector, including the characteristics of the goals of non-profit sphere. Designed as a case study, the practical part of the thesis analysis setting, the application and achievement of the Make a Connection Programme goals, the programme administrated by NROS. It particularly pursues the question whether the programme goals are set according to the non-profit sector organizational theory and how they are applied to the practice.
