Subduction-driven shortening and differential exhumation in a Cadomian accretionary wedge: The Teplá?Barrandian unit, Bohemian Massif
Hajná, Jaroslava ; Žák, Jiří (advisor) ; Franěk, Jan (referee)
2. English abstract This doctoral thesis is focused on analysis of tectonic deformations a geodynamic evolution of Neoproterozoic and Lower Paleozoic rocks of the Teplá−Barrandian Unit along the northwestern margin of the Prague basin (central Bohemian Massif). Using a wide range of modern methods, correlation of finite deformation patterns in different units allowed separation of structures formed during Cadomian and Variscan orogeny and interpretation of tectonic processes and tectonic history of the Cadomian orogenic belt during late Neoproterozoic. The research found direct evidence for and enabled new interpretations of Cadomian tectonic processes in the Bohemian Massif, including a succesion of deformation phases, quantification of finite deformation gradients and mechanisms. The different data sets were finally combined into an overall geotectonic model of Cadomian orogeny and its Variscan tectonothermal overprint in the Bohemian Massif, as well as the data were used for correlation with other Avalonian−Cadomian terranes. 5

Attitudes of teachers in kindergartens to physical activity
Puterová, Jana ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Hronzová, Marie (referee)
The aim of this work is to look into the issue of kindergarten teachers and theircompetency in the area of physical education. These competencies reflect the teachers' personal attitudes derived from the quality of their lives, their wellbeing. The attitudes of kindergarten teachers towards physical education were surveyed by a questionnaire method (Wear's standardized questionnaire) and then evaluated and interpreted. Thorough analysis of these data is preceded by basic theoretic definition of the term "quality of life" and attitudes from the area of psychology and kinanthropology. Other widely used methods of gathering attitudes are also briefly mentioned.

Lifestyle and culture in the everyday life of Russian society in the late medieval period through the eyes of western Europeans
Vavřinová, Valburga ; Picková, Dana (advisor)
The intention of the presented dissertation was to examine reports provided by foreigners coming to Rus in the 15th and 16th centuries from the aspect of cognizance and perception of customs and institutions and everyday life of the country, and to shed light on this reflection made by people from a different cultural environment. For a better illustration of the perception of a specific reality in late medieval Rus and its interpretation by Western Europeans visitors, it was necessary to place their work into a more general framework of the history of the Russian state in the time when it was "rediscovered" by Western Europe, and to recall again the development of its relations with individual Western European subjects. The work is divided into the following parts. In the first chapter Rus and the West in the 15th and 16th Centuries, the development of events is outlined, which were fundamental in forming the Muscovite state in this period and its first "opening a window to Europe". The second chapter Western Europeans as a Source of Information about Rus presents a broader and thematically wider analysis of the used sources. Its aim is to introduce the authors who, in the given period, wrote work focused on Rus and the lives of its inhabitants. Attention is paid to the circumstances in which they visited...

The Exegesis Of Matthew 15,21-28: The Faith Of The Canaanite Woman
Lukášová, Pavlína ; Pokorný, Petr (referee) ; Mrázek, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is an exegesis of the story of Canaanite woman and her faith told in the New Testaments Matthews Gospel. This gospel story describes Canaanite woman, a gentile, who supposedly does not believe in the One God, asking Jesus to cure her demon possessed daughter. The text is primarily about the dialog between Jesus and the woman. The metaphorical dialog highlights Jesus' surprise at the depth of faith of this gentile woman and ends with the act of healing of her daughter who is not even present at this encounter. The thesis begins by placing Matthews Gospel within the context all the gospels and their literary and historical origins as a way of introducing the passage to be used in exegesis. The rest of the exegesis has all the necessary elements found in such work such as comparing various translations of the text, literary sources, context and parallels for this passage, concordance, comentaries and excursions into others work as well as explanations. The text itself is an early church pericope thus allowing the thesis to be enriched by explanations of early christian church history. The work is completed by my own interpretation of selected passage. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Term of evolution and its understanding by students of secondary schools and high schools.
Müllerová, Lucie ; Teodoridis, Vasilis (advisor) ; Pavlasová, Lenka (referee)
The term of evolution and its understanding by students of secondary schools and high schools This Master's thesis deals with the conception of evolutionary topic in schools and textbooks. It introduces education systems and curricular documents of England, Scotland and the Czech Republic. Based on this information an analysis of biology textbooks was made, which was focused on the theme of evolution. The research included 62 textbooks distributed by 27 different publishers. Comparative SWOT analysis of these textbooks has shown that the concept of biology in general is presented differently, what is also reflected in the interpretation of the studies of evolution. The questionnaire research based on those findings was done in the Czech Republic. It is focused on secondary school and high school pupil's knowledge and their personal opinions about this topic. 586 pupils took part in this research. It was found that in the context of evolutionary processes the pupils have problems to use commonly known biological, or evolutionary terms (e.g. adaptation, evolution of the organisms). On the other hand some pupils can easily define some more complicated evolutionary topics such as Neo-Darwinism. Pupils have quite various personal opinions on the issue of the evolution. Some of them are not interested in...

Legal Act of particular forms of business companies ABSTRACT This thesis goes into integrated problems of legal act of business companies, as in general term - with the outline of philosophical and conceptual aproaches to this subject and with the explanation of basic concepts of legal act and business companies, as especially in term of legal act allowance of business companies in Czech rule of law, with the reference to the upcoming re-codification of private law that will also affect the selected subject. The first part of the thesis introduces the reader into the problem of legal ct of business companies and the reader is equipped with the necessary knowledge of approaches and basic concepts that refer to the given problems, as in term of current Czech rule of law, as in historical and philosophical term, whereby it presents the wider view of the mentioned subject to the reader. The second part of the thesis goes into the legal act of business companies in the Czech rule of law, resp. in general term, when the given problems strike upon all business companies. It explains two basic forms of possible legal act of business companies - resp. the direct act of statutory body and the representation. The Business Code interprets it in its § 13 Par. 1, the second sentence: "The legal person acts by way of...

Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics of Small Systems
Holubec, Viktor ; Chvosta, Petr (advisor) ; Slanina, František (referee)
Title: Nonequilibrium Thermodynamics of Small Systems Author: Viktor Holubec Department: Institute of Theoretical Physics Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Petr Chvosta, CSc., Department of Macromolecular Physics Abstract: We investigate a microscopic engine based on an externally controlled two-level system. One cycle of the engine operation consists of two strokes. Within each stroke, the two energy levels are driven with a time-independent rate. The occupation probabilities of the two levels are controlled by the underlying Pauli rate equation and they represent the (delayed) system response in respect to the external driving. We give the exact solution of the dynamical equation and discuss its thermodynamical consequences. In between, we investigate the engine's efficiency, the power output, and the performance dependence on the control parameters. Secondly, we introduce an augmented stochastic process which reflects, at a given time, both the occupation probabilities for the two levels and the work done on the system during the previous evolution. Our exact calculation of the evolution operator for the augmented process allows for a detailed discussion of the probability density for the work done during the cycle of the engine operation. In the strongly irreversible regime, the density exhibits important...

Efficient competency model
Hoffmannová, Anna ; Štikar, Jiří (referee) ; Riegel, Karel (advisor)
Methodology of competencies developed from researches focused on determining the properties and characteristics which are involved in the distinction between average and superior performance. A contribution of competency model is that it helps employees to identify the success criteria required to be successful in their current or future job. Determination of requirements for certain positions allows subsequently to compare a current level of skills of employees with the required ones. An effective competency model supports and contributes to the objectives strategy goals of the organization. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the current approaches and findings on this issue. In the practical part, we test and verify competency model. Using a revision of one competency model and creating a new model subsequently we check whether the model used in the company reflects really the strategic needs and whether is linked to others HR processes. For this purpose, the model is subjected to complete analysis that determines gaps and opportunities for improvement. Results are implemented in the solution of the new situation. The work emphasizes the idea that competency model is not universal and the effectiveness of their applications lies in their abilities to be identified, defined, understood and...

Geomorphological evolution of the Hřebeny Ridge in Brdy
Soukupová, Lenka ; Balatka, Břetislav (referee) ; Kalvoda, Jan (advisor)
4 ABSTRACT The main aims of presented study about the geomorphology of the Hřebeny Ridge in Brdy Mts. are 1/ the documentation of landform patterns and 2/ the description of main stages of the relief evolution. In opening chapters of the paper, the natural envi- ronments of the Hřebeny Ridge and Brdy Mts. as a whole are characterized. In the fol- lowing chapter, a reflection of the geological structure in present-day landforms is de- scribed. Landform analysis of the studied region related to climate-morphogenetic pro- cesses is presented and detailed geomorphological map (1:10 000) is enclosed. Final part of the study is concerned with main stages of the landform evolution of the Hřebeny Ridge. Field observation and its geomorphological interpretation are compared with earlier regional studies. The presented paper demonstrates that landforms of the Hřebeny Ridge in Brdy Mts. are determined by the geological structure, e.g. by the geomorphological resistance of rocks. Present-day landforms of the Hřebeny Ridge evolved in the Quaternary. Im- portant processes of the landform evolution of the region are connected with the origin of deep river valleys. The landform patterns of the ridge part and its slopes are essential- ly influenced by the Pleistocene cryogenic weathering of rocks as well as very intensive...
