Non-invasive prenatal diagnosis based on the presence of extracellular fetal nucleic acids in maternal circulation

The discovery of circulating cell-free fetal DNA in maternal plasma/serum, in 1997, and the demonstration of the relative easiness and reliability with which it can be detected have opened up a new possibilities for NIPD. NIPD offers diagnostics of certain abnormalities, with minimalization of the risk of abortion when compared to standard invasive procedures such as chorious villi sampling and amniocenthesis. Compared to fetal cells in maternal circulation, cffDNA in maternal plasma could be detected earlier, more frequently and in greater amounts than the cellular species. The clearance of cffDNA from maternal circulation is very rapid and therefore it is a suitable target for prenatal diagnostics without being biased by any previous pregnancies. The detection of fetal derived Y-chromosomal sequences in maternal plasma has potential for the application in the prenatal diagnostics of X-linked disorders. Besides Y-chromosome, the first genetic locus which was examinated was RHD gene. Its presence proves that the fetus is RhD-positive. Other groups have focused on the detecion of chromosomal aneuploidies (mainly trisomy 21), and paternally inherited mutations causing Huntington disease, myotonic dystrophy, achondroplasia. This web should be able to compete with other similar applications on the internet, especially in the field of real estate, both by its functionality and graphic design. A significant part of the task should consist of the design of the application. Consequently, our objective was not to find and use the most suitable framework or other tools of support, such as content management system. Audit procedures for the verification of financial statements in practice

The goal of this thesis is explanation of audit profession theoretically and practically. It focuses on audit process and its implementation in real audit practice. The thesis explains basic definitions of audit profession, it shows differences between external and internal audit and identifies subjects authorized to carry out audit work and their rights and obligations. It is also devoted to legal framework of audit profession. This thesis contains treatise on International Standards on Auditing (ISA). A great part of this thesis is devoted to audit procedures. Finally it offers transfer of requirements and knowledge in practice. The audit process is demonstrated on the Mechanics Ltd.

Portál ČT24 positionning in the market of news webs in the Czech republic

This thesis compares news web Portál ČT24 to the market leader Novinky.cz. Key part of the work is comparison of the agenda of the both news webs. The agenda itself can be considered as the main product attiring the readers. Furthermore, author identifies the aspects bringing the market leader Novinky.cz its position and enabling the most readers of all news webs available in the Czech republic. Author also analyses news web image its the basic features and the brand used for promotion of both webs. Financial analyse of Portál ČT24 has also been made to stress out financial aspect as limiting factor of the news web development. Another part of the thesis also consists from survey executed on Portál ČT24 and Novinky.cz readers. All the aspects mentioned above enter into the final set of recommendations for Portál ČT24. Its bullet points are maintaining of the current strenghts of Portál ČT24 (e.g. goodwill and brand positioning) as well as the wide range and quality of the news offered. Apart from this, author suggests fosterin promotion and specific changes in it. Those would include also management, particularly in the field of cooperation with other departements of the Czech Television. Cooperation should be simplified by introducing project management methods. Creating business plan in terms of Portál ČT24 development would lead to improvement of communication with the Czech Television management.

Design and implementation of the Business Architecture in the segment of providing the real-estate services

In the 21st century is still more and more emphasis laid on the phenomenon of Business Process Management. In a great number of corporations it plays the key role, because it makes the overall performance of the organization more effective and it is able to react flexibly in the rapidly changing environment. The main purpose of this graduation thesis is to get the reader to know the meaning of the notion "business architecture -- its structure and roles in the process management. The main task is to design business architecture of the specific field of business and try to implement it in the real and existent or emerging company subjects, offering the real-estate services. As a result of this, we prove the usefulness of the process management and business architecture as a key factor of reaching the effectivity in dynamic, rapidly changing and competitive environment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part provides us with methodical data and the practical part with the design of business architecture of a subject, actively operating in the real-estate market. Graphical figures are also the part of the thesis using CABE tool ProVision by Metastorm Corporation.

This bachelor thesis focus on possibilities of active recreation, physical training and sport, which are offered by Czech Republic for its inhabitants.In this thesis is detailed analysis of city of Jihlava. Aim is analysis of supporting sport from city budget in the middle-sized city in the Czech Republic. This aim is solved by partial goals, like characterisation of city Jihlava and then answering questions: Is the allocation of money for sports areas systematic?, Are the financial funds for sports area adequate in comparison with similar city?

Beyond The Frontier: The Analysis of Abortion Discourses in (Un)democratic Czechoslovakia

My thesis focuses on reproductive politics of (un)democratic Czechoslovakia, namely on the discursive construction of abortion as presented in the scientific and political discourses in the 20's and 50's. The aim is to compare the discourses and track the genealogy of control and regulation of women's bodies as biopolitical spaces within the Czechoslovakian nation. The text uses theories of G. Agamben, M. Foucault and R. Miller which deprive from the classical/juridical model of sovereignty and rights and offer a biopolitical one instead. Using this perspective the text tries to answer whether there is a difference between scientific and political discourses of so-called democracy and communism. That is, whether by putting the abortion into the center it is possible to speak about democracy and communism as if they were two different and mutually exclusive systems. Through the lenses of poststructuralist feminist analysis the thesis tries to doubt the binaries of "communism" - "democracy", "East" - "West", in which democracy always signals the good and communism evil. Analysing the discourses surrounding the enactment of 1957 law the text also ponders whether it is possible to read the law as a typical communist product, implanted by someone from the outside.

Semantic Navigator

The Semantic Web extends principles of the Web from documents to data. The Web of Data facilitates machines to understand the meaning of information. Semantic web search engines can take advantage of this fact and offer more precise search results and advanced query capabilities. The aim of this thesis is to use semantic data in web documents in order to enhance navigation between related web pages and bring advantages of semantic web search engines to ordinary users. We present Semantic Navigator as a solution to this task. Semantic Navigator is implemented as a Mozilla Firefox extension. The extension uses the Sindice search service for discovery of related documents and provides access to information summaries on Sig.ma.

DISERTAČNÍ PRÁCE ABSTRACT ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ NÁMOŘNÍ PLAVBA, 1948-1989 CZECHOSLOVAK OCEAN SHIPPING, 1948-1989 2016 Lenka Krátká This work is concentrated on the topic of establishment and development of the Czechoslovak ocean shipping in the period 1948-1989. The theme is presented with using a large number of primary archive sources and relevant secondary literature. In addition, the text offers an insight into the topic through the memoirs of former Czechoslovak seafarers collected with the use of oral history method. The primary aim of this work is to capture the history of the Czechoslovak ocean shipping in a broader context of political, economic, and foreign policy development of Czechoslovakia in the given period. A key moment for founding a merchant fleet represented the year 1948, the communist coup d'état respectively, when the country came into the sphere of the Soviet Union's influence and transformed its economy into a centrally planned one with the absence of market principles. These specific circumstances enabled to develop a transport sector which Czechoslovakia did not have either natural conditions, or practical experience with. Suffering in the light of christian faith and the male and female face of God

The aim of this thesis is analysing the very problem and meaning of human suffering. First of all it is the testimony of Scripture itself that is used as a means of fulfilling our task, secondarily also the comparison with understanding of suffering and its mystery as presented in the apostolic letter of John Paul II. Furthermore, the thesis concentrates on the differences between suffering in male and female experience and also on examining the meaning and mission of suffering in the lives of two contemporary saints, Father Pio and Mother Theresa. The analysis is undertaken with the help of the tools offered by the International Theological Commission document Communion and Stewardship: Human Persons Created in the Image of God. At the closure of the work, there are described several concrete cases of people who went through the experience of suffering in their lives. Human suffering, the suffering of women, the suffering of men, Father Pio, Mother Theresa, Communion and Stewardship.
