The significance of state actions in case of externalities
Macková, Jaroslava ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Kučerová, Jaroslava (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is state action, which are justified by positive external effect. In the first section I examine the condition of function of market mechanism and I am concerned with externalities in a detail. Externalities appear if the function conditions of market mechanism aren't fulfilled. Original interpretation of external effects by A. C. Pigou and his critical analysis made by R. H. Coase are presented. In the analytic part of this study I deal with particular example of state subsidy for milk distribution for pupils who perform obligatory school attendance. I enunciate a hypothesis about feasibility of state action in this case in terms of benefits and costs of this scheme of subsidy. The hypothesis is confronted with arguments of liberal economists - Murray N. Rothbard and Milton Friedman.

Ways of disaster cover via commerial insuracne
Karamonová, Petra ; Ducháčková, Eva (advisor)
The thesis deals with ways of catastrophic events cover, particularly with cover of terrorism risk. The first part of the thesis is focused on disasters in general and contains review of actual development and possible ways of covering these events by clasical insurance, reinsurance and alternative instruments. The second part is devoted to analysis of terrorism risk, it explains its defferency from other kinds of catastrophe risks and describes possible ways of covering this risk through commercial insurance or temporary programs such as public-private cooperation.

The study of epigenetic regulation of gene HLA II. Clas within family relationships
Chmel, Martin ; Černá, Marie (advisor) ; Urbanová, Jana (referee)
Introduction: At our post-genomic era the studies of epigenetic regulation constitutes one of the tools for understanding the function of genes. Epigenetic regulation can directly control the temporal and spatial gene activity or silencing. The molecular basis of these regulations are DNA bases modifications, chromatin remodeling and RNA interference. At the same time, these mechanisms have a special way of transferring genetic information to subsequent generations called epigenetic inheritance. It has been proven epigenetic deregulation of certain genes as cause for many disease. For this reason, the study of epigenome HLA genes seems particularly important because these genes play a fundamental role in regulating the immune system. Aims: The aim of this work is to create a description of epigenetic modifications within families. It is an analysis of histone modifications and DNA methylation in the promoter region of the gene HLA DQA1. The aim was also to compare the differences in epigenetic modifications between alleles and compared the differences in these modifications between generations. The results will be compared with the analysis of the level of expression of the gene HLA DQA1. Methods: From collected peripheral blood of donors were isolated DNA, RNA, and leukocytes. DNA was used for...

Ego mechanism of defense in alcohol-dependent patients
Červená, Helena ; Niederlová, Markéta (referee) ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor)
The objective of this dissertation was to examine the Ego defense mechanisms and defense styles in alcohol-dependent patients. First, we introduced the phenomenon of Ego mechanisms of defense, presented the brief history resumption, outlined the major topics of clinical research interest and described the possibilities of use of defense mechanisms analysis in a clinical practice, particularly in diagnostics and psychotherapy. The Oefense Style Questionnaire (OSQ 40) was used to examine a sample of subjects (n=60) with an alcohol-dependence diagnosis. Bivariate correlation analyses yielded these results: the alcohol-dependence in women was correlated with mechanisms Idealization, Projection, Oevaluation and Isolation of affect, whereas in men with mechanisms Suppression and Isolation of affect. There was no relation between this syndrome and certain defense style approved. These results confirmed the psychogonical etiology of the above problem in women and suggest the connections with neurotic, depressive disorder, borderline and narcissistic personality disorder. In men, the possible connection between the mechanisms Isolation of affect and antisocial personality disorder is expected.

Měnová politika a ECB
Strejc, Daniel ; Klosová, Anna (advisor) ; Coniglio, Nicola (referee)
The thesis evaluates the ECB's monetary policy during the past decade by using policy rules and compares the suitability to particular members of the Eurozone. It examines the central bank's reaction function regarding the output and inflation. The work is divided into two main parts. First, gives the theoretical introduction of monetary policy and evaluation of the Eurozone regarding the theory of optimal currency area. In the second part it provides the econometric models and estimates. As a conclusion the results of two different OLS models show that, we cannot precisely decide to which variable the ECB reacted, as obtained two statistically significant models but with different results. For two models is used different variables GDP gap and IPI gap. The results have also shown that the ECB's monetary policy mostly suits to biggest economies within the Eurozone.

Summary report of results of the contract research between FZU AV ČR, v.v. i. and HVM Plasma s.r.o. for 2016
Mates, Tomáš ; Fejfar, Antonín ; Ledinský, Martin ; Vetushka, Aliaksi ; Pikna, Peter ; Bauerová, Pavla
Samples of protective layers based on DLC (Diamond-like-Carbon) on different substrates (test bodies and real components) were studied by several diagnostic methods.\nRaman spectroscopy was used for the detection of bindings in order to specify the structural variations, surface modifications both for as-deposited samples and particularly for samples that underwent different stress tests.\nScanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was used to examine the surface structure of layers in different locations on the sample and to search suitable test spots for the subsequent analysis by the Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). AFM in special modes was employed to measure the maps local mechanical properties (friction, tip adhesion, energy dissipation, etc.).\nOn a selected sample, the cross-sectional structure of the sample was analysed by the Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) and the elemental composition in various thicknesses was documented by the Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS).\n
