Performance and reproduction of Holstein cattle
KAMENÍKOVÁ, Jana
The aim of thesis was to analyze the milk efficiency and fertility of dairy cows of Holstein cattle breeding under intensive conditions. The examinations were made in the agricultural company ZDV Krchleby, a.s. during the year of 2007 to 2009. In total, 147 dairy cows were used for observation including 35 Holstein dairy cows (100% H, R 100%), in a group called - H1, 70 Holstein cows crossed with Czech spotted cattle (H 75 - 87%, R 75 - 87%) in group - H3 and 42 Holstein cows crossed with Czech spotted cattle (H 50 - 74%, R 50 - 74%), in group - H4. Furthermore, the basic data set was divided according to lactation into four groups: 1st lactation, 2nd lactations, 3rd lactations, 4th and more lactations. The main indicators for evaluation of the milk efficiency were the: milk quantity (kg), amount of fat in the milk (%), production of the fat in the milk (kg), amount of protein in the milk (%), production of protein in the milk (kg), content of lactose in the milk (%), persistency of lactation and lactation duration (in days). In terms of fertility, the following factors were evaluated: the cow?s age at first birth (in days), insemination interval (in days), service period (in days) and the periods between births (in days). The cows in the first group milked on average of 8945.03 kg of milk, the amount of fat was 3.66%, the content of protein was 3.32%. Cows in the second group milked an average amount of 8186.55 kg of milk, the content of fat was 3.77%, the amount of protein was 3.33%. The third group milked an average amount of the milk 8649.05 kg, the content of fat was 3.58% and the amount of protein was 3.26%. Differences between these groups were not statistically significant. From the reproductive indicators, statistically, the only most significant difference was the time in between births. The longest period in between births was measured in the first group - 576.22 days, in the second group - 487.38 days and in the third group - 480.95 days.

The Spanish Insults
Hroudová, Šárka ; Čermák, Petr (advisor) ; Zavadil, Bohumil (referee)
"The Spanish Insults" The objective of the present paper was to explore, as the title indicates, the rich variety of the Spanish insults. We centered mainly on the comparison of the Spanish insults to the Czech insults and observed the diferences and specific characteristics of Spanish insults. We began the first part with the definition of formal and informal language and its sociolects, because we believe that it helps to understand the properties of the insults, since they have many common characteristics with the sociolects. Afterwards, we tried to describe the historical and cultural backgrounds, because due to different evolutions in each country, the habits to use insults and curses are different, especially concerning the curses, which are still very common in Spain. In Czech Republic the curses fell into oblivion during the last century, while the people were becoming more atheistic. The role of taboo is also very important, because in each society, taboo is what's influencing the usage and the importance of every insult. Neverthless, the insults don't serve only for attacking somebody or to show disappointment, but they also have other functions, such as identifying with the members of the group or to address someone in a friendly way. In the practical part, we first described the...

Analysis of Interdependencies among Central European Stock Markets
Mašková, Jana ; Baruník, Jozef (advisor) ; Princ, Michael (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to examine interdependencies among the stock markets of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Germany in the period 2008-2010. Two main methods are applied in the analysis. The first method is based on the use of high-frequency data and consists in the computation of realized correlations, which are then modeled using the heterogeneous autoregressive (HAR) model. In addition, we employ realized bipower correlations, which should be robust to the presence of jumps in prices. The second method involves modeling of correlations by means of the Dynamic Conditional Correlation GARCH (DCC-GARCH) model, which is applied to daily data. The results indicate that when high-frequency data are used, the correlations are biased towards zero (the so-called "Epps effect"). We also find quite significant differences between the dynamics of the correlations from the DCC-GARCH models and those of the realized correlations. Finally, we show that accuracy of the forecasts of correlations can be improved by combining results obtained from different models (HAR models for realized correlations, HAR models for realized bipower correlations, DCC-GARCH models).

Financing of licenced and unlicenced football clubs
Romportlová, Kateřina ; Takáčová, Hana (advisor)
This thesis deals with the differences in fundraising of non-profit organizations and commercial companies. The work first analyzes general assumptions and factors influencing or limiting possibilities of obtaining financial resources of non-profit organizations or companies and differences in legislation or accounting practice as such. This is followed by a practical section, which analyzes the financing of specific companies -- a non-profit organization Tělovýchovná jednota Baník Souš o.s. and a company FK Baník Most, a.s. For easier comparison of the problematic, companies involved in the same activities -- i.e. organization of sport activities -- have been selected. This work also contains an outline of basic circumstances affecting sporting clubs in the Czech Republic in terms of their legal status and how this legal form is related to the overall structure of the sports industry.

Contractual penalty and late payment interest under the Commercial Code
Hámorská, Andrea ; Oehm, Jaroslav (referee) ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor)
63 RESUMÉ CONTRACTUAL PENALTY AND LATE CHARGES ACCORDING TO THE COMMERCIAL CODE As the topic of this thesis indicates, it looks at two institutes of private law, namely contractual penalty and late charges. A number of reasons led me to the decision to choose this topic for my thesis. Firstly, both contractual penalty and late charges are exceptionally common institutes that appear in many private-law relationships. The duty to pay late charges is a legal consequence of the debtor's delay with the payment of monetary debt. The creditor's right to late charges arises under statute if their monetary claim falls due and the debtor does not pay it. In relationships regulated by the Commercial Code the parties may agree upon the rate of the late charges but even without such an agreement, the creditor is entitled to late charges at the rate determined in the civil law regulations. On the other hand, the legal grounds of contractual penalty are in an agreement between the creditor and the debtor. Still, the contractual penalty has a very extended use in commercial relationships and it is frequently used in contracts as a securing instrument. Secondly, since the contractual penalty may secure any obligation arising out of a contract, there are cases where it secures that the debtor duly pay their monetary debt....

Office Applications

Licence agreement in the legal systems of the Czech Republic and England and Wales
Johanna, Tomáš ; Žikovská, Petra (advisor) ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (referee)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to render a comprehensive analysis of licence contracts in two countries - the Czech Republic and England and Wales. The effort to highlight differences between the two scrutinized jurisdictions and related criticism are the most important methods applied in this work and, hopefully, the most recognizable benefits of it. The thesis consists of a short introduction, followed by four descriptive chapters and author's subjective conclusions. The introductory part presents methods of research used throughout the work and implicitly hints what can the reader except when studying this diploma thesis. The first chapter splits into two mutually linked subchapters. The first one defines the very term licence, its etymology and classification. The following subchapter describes general characteristics of intellectual property, a crucial topic to licence contracts and thus indirectly to this thesis. This thesis promises a comparison of two legal systems and the second chapter fulfils this aim. Consisting of two additionally divided subchapters, the author engages in an analysis of the copyright and patent law respectively. Both examined intellectual property rights are looked at via optics of Czech, British and European intellectual property law. After being...

Effect of yoga and tai-chi

Suchel, Jakub ; Müller, Karel (advisor) ; Skovajsa, Marek (referee)
This thesis deals with the cooperation of civil sector and local self-government of the capitol Prague territory. I am focusing in particular on the pecification of the local government and non-government organizations (NGOs) on administration districts of Prague 1 -22 and on the comparison of their cooperation. The first part specifies the term cooperation and the reasons for a cooperation of the local government and NGOs. The following chapters describe a function and a position of municipality and the question of party affiliation impact on the relation between the local government and NGOs. The whole part is concluded by a reflection of the danger of total partnership between NGOs and political parties and their permanent dependence. It is followed by a legal definition of NGOs, which are subjects of researches, and a description of the evaluated criteria. The second half of the thesis studies the complete cooperation level on various Prague districts (1 -22) according to comparative analysis documents of municipals, according to interviews and "Analysis of social service providers". There is a different level of cooperation on particular Prague districts, even though they are not so remarkable.
