Czech baroque coronations
Hrbek, Jiří ; Maur, Eduard (advisor) ; Hojda, Zdeněk (referee)
The Bohemian coronations in the baroque period certainly ranked among the most significant politi cal events in the entire Habsburg monarchy in the 17th and 18th centuries. In my study, I tried to compare the coronations of Ferdinand III. (1627), of his two sons Ferdinand IV. (1646) and Leopold I. (1656) and of Leopolďs son Charles Vl. (1723). I discussed four spheres, in which we can see these events. The first one was the political sphere: after the battle on the White Mountain, Bohemia became a hereditary monarchy, so it was never more necessary for Habsburgs to deal with the Bohemian estates, when the son of the King should be coronated. But the vote of the new king was only one limitation of the King's power, another limitations, which originated from the early modem political philosophy, continued further in the baroque period. There was no responsibility to the estates, but King was responsible to the God and to this effect he took an oath during the coronation mass before the unction. When the archbishop of Prague as a consecrator was pouring the holy oil with balsam ( chrisma) on the head of the King, he received the Goď s Grace like the jewish kings of the Old Testament (David, Salomon). The coronation connected the politics with the religion and only after the unction the King could receive the...

Determination of Porothramycin by Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Kettnerová, Eliška ; Nesměrák, Karel (advisor) ; Bosáková, Zuzana (referee)
Porothramycin is the antibiotic of anthramycin group and is produced by Streptomyces albus. Porothramycin is characterized by antibacterial and especially antitumor activity. But it has also been proved to be cardiotoxic; and therefore, it has not been applied in clinical practice yet. However, some genes involved in the synthesis of porothramycin can be used for the preparation of new nontoxic derivatives of antibiotics by means of combinatorial biosynthesis. For this purpose, it was necessary to develop a new routine chromatographic UHPLC-UV- MS method for analysis of porothramycin. A suitable cultivation broth for production of porothramycin was found using disk diffusion test with the sensitive strain Kocuria rhizophila. Then, 1.7 mg of porothramycin standard, which was not available on the market, was isolated from the cultivation broth and used for the development and validation of the method. Also, it was found out that apart from porothramycin, two porothramycin-related compounds were produced into the cultivation broth. In the final method for determination of porothramycin, the solid phase extraction using styren-divinylbenzene sorbent with vinylpyrrolidone functionalities was applied. The extracts were then loaded onto the UHPLC Acquity BEH C18 column and analyzed under gradient mode...

"Mare nostrum" and "la politica mussoliniana"
Paulusová, Kristýna ; Romancov, Michael (advisor) ; Fidler, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with the Mediterranean region vis-á-vis the fascist imperial plan that contain acquisitions or leastwise enforcements of all Mediterranean coast. It is a specific analysis thoroughly tackling the issue in geopolitical and historic context. Despite the fact that the topic is extremely interesting it has not been properly described thusfar in Czech research or scientific literature. The Roman Empire ruled the entire coastline of the Mediterranean sea and from its center on the Apennine peninsula managed to control the whole region through its political ability and as well as due to the central location at the Mediterranean sea. Because of the fact that, the Romans were able to expand their authority to all Mediterranean region thus it became an embosomed field. That's why the Romans called it "mare nostrum." Additionally, this thesis is concerned with endeavours to restore the Roman Empire to its former glory that were active in all phases of its historical development following its disintegration. The central position of the Apennine peninsula in the Mediterranean sea, which favours Italy ability to control the entire sea, enticed the liberal governments of the Italian kingdom to expand. However, only Mussolini's new activist and aggressive policy made these plans more concrete and to a...

Europeanization of Italian Politics. Case Study: Italian Regional Policy For South
Rozsívalová, Martina ; Perottino, Michel (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
This contribution presents a reflection on the Europeanization of Italian regional policy for Mezzogiorno, that is, on the domestic impact of EU regional policy on policies and strategies of Italian state in the process of transition. The process of Europeanization of Italian regional policy in 1990s can be interpreted as a paradigmatic change, marked by three stages. "Europeanization" is meant here as concerning the mechanisms and dynamics of national response to supranational policy inputs, with a specific attention to factors of resistance and change in Southern Italian institutions and policies. This paper also highlights the problems with the use of the concept of Europeanization. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The electroencephalographic changes in animal serotonergic model of psychosis-the study of EEG connectivity in relation to behavior
Tylš, Filip ; Páleníček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Mareš, Pavel (referee) ; Chvátal, Alexandr (referee)
The present thesis deals with the electrophysiological and behavioral correlates of the effects of serotonergic psychedelics in an animal model of psychosis. In the general part, we describe the phenomenology and neurobiology of psychotic diseases and the altered states of consciousness induced by serotonergic psychedelics. Furthermore, we outline the pharmacological models of acute psychosis with a focus on serotonergic substances, particularly the active substances from hallucinogenic mushroom - the indolamine psilocybin and its active metabolite psilocin. We briefly explain the method of quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) and summarize the main findings of QEEG in animals and humans intoxicated by serotonergic psychedelics. The experimental part of the thesis describes the pharmacokinetics of psilocin, its effects on the behavioral pattern, locomotion and sensorimotor processing of information, as well as sex differences in the behavioral response. A medium dose of psilocin caused atypical behavioral figures, decreased locomotion and disturbance in sensorimotor processing of information, with the females being more resistant to this effect. Another focus of the thesis is the dynamics of QEEG changes in time (EEG absolute power spectra and EEG coherences), as recorded from the cortex of...

Translation of the EU legislation in the Czech Republic and other new EU member states
Hanzl, Jan ; Tomášek, Michal (referee) ; Abdallaova, Naděžda (advisor)
Containing both theoretical and empirical parts, the thesis exammes the largest translation project in history: translation ofEC/EU legislation into Czech and other languages of candidate countries before the 2004 EU enlargement. It focuses on project management and organization and analyses activities, roles, powers, interests and responsibilities of all actors involved in the translation process.

Experimental study of the electronic properties of the RT1-xT'xAl system
Prchal, Jiří
The RNiAl and RCuAl compounds belong to a large group of RTX compounds (R ~ rare-earth, T ~ transition metal, X ~ p-metal) crystallizing in the ZrNiAl-type hexagonal structure, space group P-62m (group No.189). Very interesting behaviour has been observed for TbNi1-xCuxAl system, what has been attributed to a change of mechanisms responsible for the magnetic ordering. In comparison to it, ErNi1-xCuxAl series represent a more complex system. Change of magnetocrystalline anizotropy between the boundary stoichiometric concentrations is involved additionally. ErNiAl is an antiferromagnet (AF) with magnetic moments aligned within the basal plane below 6.2 K, ErCuAl is a simple ferromagnet (F) with moments aligned along the c-axis below 6.8 K. While increasing parameter x, a dramatic 'jump' of lattice constants occurs between x = 0.5 and 0.6 in temperatures down to 5 K. The magnetization and heat capacity data indicate that the change from AF to F ordering occurs between x = 0.2 and x = 0.4. In the range 0.05 x 0.20 there is possible the coexistence of F and AF alignment, the samples in this region embody two phase transitions. This was for x = 0.05 confirmed by heat capacity measurements. The samples with x 0.4 exhibit ferromagnetic behaviour. The neutron diffraction measurements are desired for the final...

European Union and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Srnka, Vojtěch ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee)
Next year will the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories celebrate the 50th Anniversary. European Union, the most significant trade partner of Israel as well as the biggest donor of Palestine, was for a long time a mere observer of a situation of deepening of the occupation and postponing of its end because of building of Israeli settlements on the one side and of gradual division of Palestinian territories between radical Hamas and Fatah. Just in the autumn of 2015 the European Union decided to take a restrictive step towards Israel by setting clear rules of labelling of Israeli goods produced in those Israeli settlements. However, a harsh response has come both from the Israeli government and from some of EU member states. Therefore this work focuses on evaluation of the legitimacy of this move and on trying to assess the reason of its partial failure.

MAGNETIC AND TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF 41CRMO4 STEEL
Bulín, T. ; Hapla, Miroslav ; Roupcová, Pavla ; Ondrůšek, Č. ; Schneeweiss, Oldřich
We have measured magnetic parameters and electrical resistivity of 41CrMo4 steel. It consist ferrite, Cr7C3 and Cr23C6 type of carbides. The\nmeasurements of temperature dependences of magnetic moments and electrical resistivity confirm phase stability of ferrite. The room temperature resistivity, saturation magnetization at room temperature, as well as AC measurements was measured. The power losses are strongly dependent on frequency and excitations.

Zavedení a optimalizace \kur{in vivo} modelů zánětu a jejich využití pro funkční analýzu inhibitorů proteáz z klíštěcích slin
CHLASTÁKOVÁ, Adéla
Two murine models of acute inflammation, namely thioglycollate-induced peritonitis and carrageenan-induced paw edema, were optimized using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug indomethacin and corticosteroid dexamethasone. During the optimization phase, the presence of neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, eosinophils, B cells and T cells in the peritoneal cavity at various time points after injection of thioglycollate medium was assessed via multicolor flow cytometry. Moreover, two different thioglycollate media (suppliers BD and Sigma-Aldrich) were compared for their ability to induce an inflammatory response. The optimization of thioglycollate-induced peritonitis and carrageenan-induced paw edema was followed by the evaluation of the anti-inflammatory activity of Ixodes ricinus cystatins G1 and G9 in both mouse models.
