Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice in three Czech translations
Kolářová, Kateřina ; Tobrmanová, Šárka (advisor) ; Beran, Zdeněk (referee)
This is a theoretical and empirical work. It principally encompasses an analysis, description and comparison ofthree translations of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice, by František Noska (1946), Božena Šimková (1949) and Eva Kondrysová (1967). The introduction briefly sets out the reasons for the selection of the theme and outlines the goal of the work. The work also concentrates on the circumstances surrounding the emergence of Pride and Prejudice and the reception given to Jane Austen' s novel. Particular attention is paid to the periodical context and the related changing critical responses to, and views on, the value of Jane Austen's literary work in an Anglo-Saxon and Czech environment. The work inter alia strives to identity how the Czech reception differs from the Anglo-Saxon one, and what features are specific to the Czech reception. Jane Austen' s work i s pro ven to ha ve attracted incomparably less attention in the Czech cultural sphere than in the Anglo-Saxon milieu, primarily for cultural and political reasons. There is then a thematic and stylistic examination of Pride and Prejudice, with a special focus on irony and the dialogical and epistolary form; the results of which are subsequently used in a contrastive analysis and evaluation of the three Czech translations of Pride and...

Europeanization of Italian Politics. Case Study: Italian Regional Policy For South
Rozsívalová, Martina ; Perottino, Michel (advisor) ; Váška, Jan (referee)
This contribution presents a reflection on the Europeanization of Italian regional policy for Mezzogiorno, that is, on the domestic impact of EU regional policy on policies and strategies of Italian state in the process of transition. The process of Europeanization of Italian regional policy in 1990s can be interpreted as a paradigmatic change, marked by three stages. "Europeanization" is meant here as concerning the mechanisms and dynamics of national response to supranational policy inputs, with a specific attention to factors of resistance and change in Southern Italian institutions and policies. This paper also highlights the problems with the use of the concept of Europeanization. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Early craniofacial and dental morphogenesis in bichir, P. senegalus
Kráľovič, Martin ; Buchtová, Marcela (referee) ; Černý, Robert (advisor)
Polypterid fishes are considered the basal-most group of extant actinopterygians and thus may serve as a direct link for understanding the evolution of the first bony fishes. Their embryonic and larval material, however, is extremely scarce what makes it difficult to study their developmental patterns and processes. This work of mine is based on several successful breedings of the bichir Polypterus senegalus that allowed me to analyse development of some 70 specimens at key developmental stages. I have focused my attention to the early morphogenesis of teeth and dentition on several locations within a developmental context of oropharyngeal cavity. Oropharyngeal cavity develops quite differently when compared to other vertebrate species: it arises by means of a schizocoeliclike split of epithelial layers and, moreover, the earliest mouth cavity seems to be strongly constrained by the presence of cement (attachment) glands. Mouth opening proceeds by development of new, enigmatic structures that I have entitled the epithelial bridges (Kralovic et al., 2009) and that might represent the ectoderm-endoderm border often judged to be essential for tooth initiation and patterning. I have described a pronounced delay in initiation of pharyngeal teeth when compared to the oral teeth, probably as a direct consequence...

The tax audit from the perspective of the fundamental tax administration principles
Špírková, Taťána ; Marková, Hana (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee) ; Radvan, Michal (referee)
The tax audit can be defined as one of the practices of the tax authorities modified by Act No. 280/2009 Coll., the Tax Code. The aim of the tax audit corresponds with the basic aim of the tax administration, which is primarily to establish correctly a tax assessment. This dissertation is focused on the tax audit from the perspective of the fundamental tax administration principles. The presented dissertation is divided into nine chapters, most of which are further subdivided. The first chapter is focused on the determination of the tax audit. In the second chapter, the attention is paid to the constitutional principles controlling the tax audit, mainly to selected regulations of the Constitution and the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. The following third chapter is focused on the isuue of good governance principles. The fourth chapter deals with the fundamental principles of tax administration, as expressed in the Tax Code in §5 - §9. These principles are specified as a basis for the next part of the work. Chapters five to eight are dedicated to the tax audit, which is divided into the beginning of the tax audit, the tax rights and responsibilities during the tax audit, the progress of the tax audit and the final chapter is focused on completion of the tax audit. The last chapter is...

The Macro-finance Model of the Czech Economy
Urbánková, Jana ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Cahlík, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis introduces the macro-finance model of the Czecheconomy by setting the VAR model, which includes components representing theyield curve estimatedwithin theNelson-Siegel framework. The thesis contributes to the current streamof researchby including both the policy interest rateand the interbank interest rateas endogeneous variables in the VAR model, which allows for differentiation between monetarypolicy shocks and shocks to interbank rates. The above-mentioned model then serves as a frameworkfor analyzing interactions betweenfinancial and macroeconomicvariables in the period from 2000 to 2015. The thesis pays special attention to theperiod 2008-2013 and shows that the introduction of the FX commitment in November 2013 had a significant positive effect on GDP and inflation within 12 months after the introduction of the FX commitment. The thesis concludes that exchangeratemovements affectedalmost uniformly short-term and long-terminterest rates, and thus the yield curve slope stayed largelyunaffected by exchangeratemovements.

Contractual modifications of statutory matrimonial property regime
Kalousková, Iveta ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Elischer, David (referee)
Marriage is a topic that more or less concerns all of us. Community property is a financial aspect of marriage which is inseparably tied to it. Despite it being a fundamental problem, it is not well known to the general public. For this reason the aim of this diploma thesis is to clearly and systematically summarize the issue of contractual marital property law. For better understanding, the thesis defines basic terms of statutory matrimonial property regime, and focuses on parts of community property of spouses. Attention is focused on the issue of usual family equipment, because it was removed from the matrimonial property law due to recodification, which then instituted a new matrimonial regime: The Separate Property Regime. Except for the statutory matrimonial property regime, spouses are allowed to negotiate different property regime by using a contract of modification of community property of spouses. The contractual matrimonial property regime represents a major part of this thesis. First, the thesis deals with contractual matrimonial property regime, and then it mainly focuses on types of matrimonial property contracts, its contents and its limitations. It pays significant attention to registration of matrimonial property contracts, especially to the new publicly accessible list of...

It is outlined how the media analysis were performed - by the testimony of former members. In accordance, the research questions - how was the activity of initiative influenced by interpretations of media outputs and he extent to which the initiative was successful in asserting their arguments and frameworks in the media? The methods of research are participant observation, document analysis, discourse analysis of media coverage and interviews with key players in the initiative. Selection of the analyzed events was based on the fact whether the action was organized in order to attract media attention, search has been consulted with key research respondents.

Low-molecular materials for organic electronics and photonics
Češka, Matěj ; Salyk, Ota (referee) ; Weiter, Martin (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with organic materials for use in electronics and photonics. Attention was paid to low molecular weight materials. The theoretical part of this thesis contains brief introduction to organic electronics and photonics. In particular, organic transistors, organic solar cells and organic light-emitting diodes are mentioned. The experimental part is focused on study of electrical and optical properties of two types of phthalocyanines. Thin films and solutions of phthalocyanines were characterized by UV-VIS spectroscopy. Thin films were also characterized by current voltage characteristics, spectral response measurement of photocurrent and by method of transient photoconductivity. It was found that illumination affects the electrical properties of thin layers of phthalocyanines, the performance of the prepared thin films depends on the type phthalocyanine and also depends on the thickness of the layer.
