The Competence and Activity of Regional Authority in region Vysočina

The thesis called The Competence and Activity of Regional Authority in region Vysočina in the Educational Field focuses on two key subjects -- educational system and public administration. Following chapters are connected with Region Vysočina. In the end of this thesis the practical study is elaborated.This thesis is based on specialized publications, legal regulations in field of education, statistics, official Internet sources (Region Vysočina, Ministry of Education, UNESCO, EU), own experience, in-house documents of primary and nursery school in Věžnice, data from the municipal office in Věžnice, discussions with director and accountant of the school in question and discussions with the establishment of Education department at the regional authority in Jihlava.

Access to healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic

This Ph.D. thesis discusses the evolution and current situation regarding availability of healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic. In terms of methodology, the author has chosen a qualitative approach. The research design is a historical case study. The thesis uses a combination of "desk research" and empirical survey based on 56 in-depth interviews with migrants, healthcare providers and experts who come into contact with migrants during the course of their work. Based on the approach of historical institutionalism, the author is explaining policy of migrants' health insurance evolution in Czech Republic since 1993 till today. The author identifies the key events and the roles of particular actors within the observed "sub- system" of public policy. From the viewpoint of migrants and healthcare providers, the thesis also presents how the current institutionalised set-up of migrants' health policy transfers into the real access to healthcare for migrants. It also identifies the main barriers to health care accessibility and the consequences of possible health care unavailability. Methods of teaching literature of the world

The aim of this dissertation is to help to improve the quality of teaching world literature in Vietnam, while making use of the experience with teaching this literature at secondary schools in the Czech Republic. This dissertation is based on studying professional pedagogical texts, as well as on hands-on teaching experience both in Vietnam and in the Czech Republic. Treatises and studies mainly by Czech authors and to a certain extent also by educationalists of worldwide reputation have served as theoretical background. Textbooks in both Vietnam and the Czech Republic may well be of use. This work is also founded on the author's practical experience with teaching from Vietnam. The cooperation with Czech teachers has proved extremely interesting and helpful in a number of points. Firstly, I had the chance to observe a number of lessons. Secondly, interviews with teachers and specialists have been a source of practical experience and information for me. Furthermore, there are experimental classes, to which the methods I suggested were applied to. Phonetic literacy of Czech secondary school pupils in the Russian language

The dissertation deals with the pronunciation of Czech pupils in the Russian language. In this work, the phonetic literacy is defined and the attention is paid to its formation. The text is divided into three basic parts - the first is devoted to theoretical foundations which influence pupils' acquisition of the phonological system of a foreign language (from the linguistic, psychological and lingvodidactic points of view); the second part summarizes the results of the analysis of the relationship of Russian language teachers to the examined problem, the results of an analysis of available textbook sets and it describes a performed phonetic testing of secondary school pupils including the interpretation of its results; in the third part of the thesis there is a synthesis of the findings from both preceding chapters, followed by a discussion. During the research within the domain of the dissertation focus, quantitative and qualitative methods of educational research were used: a survey, content analysis of textbook sets, phonetic testing and analysis of recordings of students' authentic speech. Vliv ropných šoků na ekonomiky USA a Venezuely od 70. let do současnosti

This paper attempts to define the impact of the oil price shocks on the economy. In the theory paper examines the general impact of the changes in the oil prices on the economy and the possibility of the central bank to respond to these changes, which proves to be quite difficult due to the time lag in the effectiveness of monetary policy. The practical part includes, inter alia, the development of the oil shocks of the 70s, with a focus on the latest crisis of 2014 the economy of the United States and Venezuela. In the US case is detected dual impact. Despite the negative impact on the individual segments of the economy, however, it can be argued that the low price of oil for the US is positive stimulus. On the contrary, the Venezuelan economy is experiencing within the low prices as export economy clearly negative shock, which uncovered nonfunctional economic system.

The diploma thesis "František Bakule- one of the czech school reformer" deals with František Bakule's personality and activity. This thesis shows an initial state of austrian a czech education, benefits of czech reform teachers, experimental schools and František Bakule's ideological bases. This thesis deals with František Bakule's life and his working in educational institutions. This dissertation describes educational methods and their uses in practise at schools, in the Jedlička Institute and in his choir. The purpose of this work is presentation of reform efforts of František Bakule and their overlap until today.

Gluten-free diet in the training of students from hotel school and apprenticeship cook-waiter.

Gluten-free diet is a concept inflected in the media in recent years very often. This thesis is devoted to exploring whether and how the theme of "gluten-free diet" is put in theoretical and practical training for students and trainees of Secondary School and Higher Vocational School of Tourism (Vyšší odborné školy cestovního ruchu) in České Budějovice, subjects focused on gastronomy. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of celiac disease, gluten-free meals, legislation dealing with the labeling of allergens (gluten). There are also discussed the eating problems of patients with gluten-free diet in restaurants and canteens. In the practical part there search has been conducted to determine how students are familiarized with this theme, what knowledge they have and whether they can use it in practice. The survey was conducted through a question naire survey, observation in the lessons and the analysis of used literature. Graphic design with commentaries was chosen to evaluate the qualitative survey questionnaires.

Analysis of Social and Economic Development of the Municipality Dobřichovice

This thesis deals with the social and economic development of the town of Dobřichovice which is located in the district Praha-západ (Prague-West) and ranks among the smaller towns with the number of inhabitants not exceeding 4,000. In the theoretical part the main used terms are defined with the help of the technical literature: region, regional policy, regional development, municipality etc. The objective of the thesis in the empiric part is (apart from providing basic characteristics of the town of Dobřichovice including a brief outline of its history) is especially to assess the development in the individual social and economic areas. The documents of the town of Dobřichovice and other public institutions including the data of the Czech Statistical Office are used for the analysis in the areas like demography, education, unemployment, entrepreneurial activities or the quality of life. The primary collection of data is carried out by means of semi-structured interviews with the representatives political leadership of the town, of its municipal office as well as with the representatives of local citizens. Based on the analysis of primary and secondary sources an aggregate SWOT analysis is performed. The summary provides an overview of the development areas and outlines several points that could be used by the town of Dobřichovice by the preparation of the future documents on development.

Knowledge transfer through academic entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

The study brings first quantitative evidence on the scale and scope of knowledge transfer through academic entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. The main finding is that Czech academics do not shy away from taking on entrepreneurial opportunities. Admittedly, this is in a sharp contrast with the image of weak entrepreneurial spirit in academia that prevails in general public based on statistics showing low payments of business enterprises for contractual research and licensing fees to research organizations. The results are discussed with regards to implications for public policy.
