Consumer protection in the European Union

This thesis is focused on consumer protection in the European Union with a special emphasis on online shopping. The first section defines the term 'consumer protection', its development, institutional support, instruments and financing. Also, this part describes the digital market of the European Union, hindrances to the growth of online shopping as well as strategies which are created in order to form a digital single market in the European Union. The second section focuses on protection of personal data, alternative dispute resolutions, current legislation regarding consumers rights on internet and new proposals from the European Commission. The new proposals dominate the second part of this thesis and are discussed with an expert. A survey has been conducted to find out more about the Czech experience with problem solving when shopping online. Moreover, this thesis does not leave out court orders from the European Union´s Court of Justice which have led to the uniform application and interpretation of the consumer protection in the European Union.

The winery JOHANN W

The aim of this dissertation is, at first, describing the theory of the business plan, how the plan should look like, what it should contain in particular points. In the second, practical part I worked out the business plan for the Winery JOHANN W with using this theory. Excluding the basic summary of the business opportunity is a part of this work elaborately worked out the marketing and business strategy, the analysis of the market and the competition, the financial plan and described and evaluated risks of the project. In conclusion is here the implementation plan created, which should show the way to the set aims, mainly in the turistic sphere, which isnt developed for now. This business plan is primarily established for internal using of the Winery JOHANN W and of the author.

Strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o.

This thesis focuses on strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o. operating escape games in Prague. The goal of the thesis is to suggest strategic recommendations for further company development. The theoretical part deals with defining basic terminology and describing process of strategy formulation. In the practical part analytical tools described earlier are applied to analysis. In order to analyze external environment, the PEST framework is used. To illustrate the industry environment, 5 competitive forces analysis, map of strategic groups is used. In examining the internal firms conditions, the strategic resources and capabilities are identified through the value chain framework. Analyses findings are summarized in SWOT matrix, then strategy alternatives are generated. In conclusion, the author suggests the wording of the organization mission and updated vision, strategic goals, then author specifies actions, that are meant to fulfill those goals.

Influence of commodity costs on the price of FMCG products

The goal of this thesis is to provide a reader with a comprehensive outlook on the cost-pricing process in a real FMCG company. Firstly, the thesis concentrates on the theoretical background of cost methodologies and pricing strategies from a perspective of a private firm. Secondly, the thesis presents a tool, which calculates the reflection of the change in the commodity cost on the shelf price of a good. Thirdly, statistical testing is applied in order to identify if the model could correlate with reality based on historical data. In this part the thesis discusses the limitations of the model and gives more real life examples of how the price is set, besides the commodity influence. Thanks to it, a reader will be able to draw conclusions from the given information and deeper understand the complexity of the FMCG market industry.

Analýza marketingových aktivit neziskové organizace INEX-SDA

Non-profit organizations are an integral part of the Czech economy and important partner for the government. In today's economic environment, NGOs face increasing competition not only from other similar institutions, but also from for-profit oriented companies. They are, therefore, forced to adopt entrepreneurial marketing techniques in order to succeed in the market. The aim of this Master Thesis is to analyze the non-governmental, non-profit organization INEX-SDA including its marketing strategies, to interpret the results based on marketing theory and to suggest possible improvements that could lead to better public awareness of the chosen organization.

Coaching as a method of increasing work efficiency

The goal of the thesis is not only coaching itself, but the whole process of employee qualities increasing and his subsequent use in the practice in order to increase work efficiency. It focuses on new coaching methods such as confrontation among employees. It highlights sensitive access to the staff and uses The Achieve model as a extension to already used The Grow model. In my thesis I try to change managers and team leaders access to employees, change taking of coaching itself and its benefits. In my thesis I used methods of observation, interview and results comparation. I try to find out how the coaching is used among different job ranks in the biggest branch of one of main banks in the Czech republic and subsequently I apply selected methods

Chasm and temple. Metaphors of chaos and order in 1870s Czech poetry

The author of this paper goes back to the 1870s, a time in which European society had to deal with a number of challenging situations – for example, a symptom of this intellectual crisis at the time was considered to be the rising tide of suicide. Hence attention is focused here on writers and their reactions to these crisis phenomena, as they had a direct influence through reading on educated members of society, and so\ncould help to create a way to manage these crisis phenomena. Czech poetry output, represented in this study by Jaroslav Vrchlický and Irma Geisslová, also had to deal with these reflections of the pessimistic Weltanschauung during the 1870s. These authors handled this challenge in various ways, their chosen strategy having an impact on the public reception of their works and influencing their subsequent literary careers.

Corporate Social Responsibility and its Impact on Consumers' Behaviour

The awareness and concern regarding social and environmental issues is growing among representatives of the business sector and they cannot eliminate the impact that they have. Corporate Social Responsibility is a complex strategy to govern the whole process of doing business. The objective of the Diploma Thesis is to prepare comprehensive analysis of current CSR practices in the Czech Republic and find out what type of impact the socially responsible practices of a company can have on a customers behaviour. The used literature represents pervious findings in the field, mainly researches done among Czech customers. In the practical part personal interviews with the company representative will be held in order to examine practical implications of CSR practices for the biggest brewery; Anheusher-Busch InBev.

Online Marketing Strategy

Basic and the most important terms closely connected with marketing strategy on the Internet are descibed in this diploma thesis. The practical part contains processed SWOT, market, competition and customer analysis. Online marketing strategy which should increase awareness of the brand of a particular company, test each form of promotion and in case of success to gain new orders is created on the basis of the evaluation of the environment and prospects of the company. A practical goal is removing weaknesses of the company found by means of SWOT analysis. At the same time the theme of this thesis can meet a practical usage fot the readers who search up-to-date knowledge for marketing of their companies in the same or similar business branch.

Vliv oxidačního stresu na aktivitu telomerických elementů u \kur{Drosophila melanogaster}

HeTom transgene expression was studied in order to determine the effect of chronic oxidative stress, using paraquat, on transcriptional activity of the promoter of Het-A telomeric element. After exposure to low paraquat concentrations, I found increased transcript levels of telomeric HeT-A as well as HeTom, the non-telomeric insertion of HeT-A promoter in combination with the gene for fluorescent protein Tomato.
