Antonyms Beautiful - Ugly on phraseology of Russian and Czech languages.

This bachelor thesis is focused on phraseology of Russian and Czech languages which meanings contain antonyms beautiful - ugly. Examined are idioms describing the external appearance of humans, they are divided into different groups - beautiful, ugly, fat and slim. The second part of this thesis consists of the evaluation of our questionnaires in which we have involved Russian and Czech high school students living in the Czech Republic. Phraseology and its Applicability in Foreign Languages Teaching and Learning

This thesis is concerned with phraseology and its intertwining with didactics of foreign languages. The practical part consists of the analysis of a contemporary situation in didactics of foreign languages, particularly the utilization of idioms. Further, the frequency of using proverbs and other set phrases in modern textbooks for teaching foreign languages (namely German and Russian) is analysed. Multiword expressions in Italian

The main topic of this thesis are the multiword expressions in the italian language. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theorical and the empirical part. The theorical part deals with the multiword expressions, the syntagmas and the idiomatic expressions. In the empirical part the connections between the constituents of the multiword expressions will be researched. Than four criteria will be on the multiword expressions applied (head inflection, insertion of the head's modifiers, pronominalisation of the head and dislocation and topicalization of the head). These transformations will be verified with the aid of corpora and questionnaires. Depending on the results of this research will be decided if the multiword expressions resemble the syntagmas or the idiomatic expressions.
Animals and plants in Italian and Czech phrases

(in English): My Thesis analyses Italian and Czech phraseological units containing animal and plant themes. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with phraseology, idiomatic and basic terminology. The practical part deals with symbols, weather saying and the phraseological unit analysis based on their level of equivalency. The following chapters are analyzing morphological, lexical, syntactical and work-making point of view.
Animal Symbols in Czech Phraseology in Comparison with Vietnamese Phraseology

The topic of this thesis is the comparison of symbols associated with occurrence of denomination of selected animal species in Czech and Vietnamese phraseology and idiomatics. In this respect it is an attempt to submit general characteristics of these symbols. The thesis consists of two main sections. The first section concentrates on parables, second one on proverbs. In both sections we characterized selected phraseological units from formal and semantic points of view and, if possible, we identified coincidences and similarities in both languages. Main Czech sources on which is this thesis based were two volumes of Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky (1. díl - Přirovnání a 4. díl - Výrazy větné) - Dictionary of Czech phraseology and idiomatic (1st part - Parables and 4th part - Sentential expressions), from Vietnamese point of view the main source was Từ điển Thành ngữ và tục ngữ Việt Nam - Dictionary of Vietnamese phraseology / idiomatics and proverbs.
Numeral Expressions in Slavonic Phraseology (Czech-Russian comparison)

Numeral Expressions in Slavonic Phraseology (Czech-Russian comparison) This Bachelor`s thesis demonstrates Czech and Russian numeral phrasems and idioms comparison. The following phraseological and idiomatical dictionaries were excerpted for its purposes: Czech phraseological and idiomatical dictionary, 1-3 volume (F. Čermák a kolektiv, Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky, Praha: Academia, 1983-1994, , 1. -3. díl), Molotkov's Russian language phraseological dictionary ( . , , : , 1986) and Thesaurus-dictionary of modern Russian idiomatics (. . , . . , - , +, 2007). The extracted material was subsequently analyzed from the point of structure, quantity (frequency) and equivalency of phrasems and idioms. Regarding theoritical aspects this Bachelor`s thesis contains both selected information concerning the history and traditions of phraseology and idiomatics in Czech and Russian linguistics and chapters devoted to symbolics of numerals and semantics of selected phrasems and idioms.
Phrasemes in the work by M. Viewegh and their Czech Translations. A Corpus Analysis.

This thesis deals with contrastive phraseology. It compares the use of phrasemes in the work by M. Viewegh and their German translations, with focus on somatic phrasemes. The thesis is conceived as a corpus analysis. For the purpose of the thesis was chosen three Vieweghs texts and their German translations from the InterCorp corpus for comparison. InterCorp is a parallel corpus that was created at the Institute of the Czech National Corpus at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. The object of the work is to describe differences or correspondences in the use of somatic phrasemes in the work by Viewegh and its German translations. Czech and Spanish Phraseology, key word: animals

This bachelor thesis is a comparative study of Spanish and Czech phraseology. It´s focused on the phraseological units containing the name of an animal. The aim of this thesis is to propose possibilities of translation of the Spanish phraseological units to the Czech language and indicate the degree of equivalency. The tesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and an analytical part. In the theoretical part there is defined the phraseologhy and the phraseological unit in general. Afterwards there is compared the Spanish and the Czech conception the classifications and terminology. In the analytical part there is the sample of the phraseological units classified according to the degree of equivalency. Subsequently, each phraseological unit is analysed individually from a formal point of view. Thereafter there is stated the definition, Czech equivalent and context for each unit and in some cases the motivation as well. Besides, there is an attention paid to the stereotypes related to the animals which are manifested in the phraseology. In conclusion, there is a billingual Spanish - Czech glossary containing all analyzed Spanish phraseological units and their Czech equivalents.
The use of phraseology in common communication

In my bachelor thesis I focus on the use of phraseology in everyday communication. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and the second part is practical. The main task of the theoretical part is the explanation of basic terms, such as the phraseology and idiom. For better illustration, the theoretical part is supplemented by several examples. This part is also devoted to the characteristics of the communication of simply style and frequency of use of idioms in it. The second part is practically oriented and examines the use and knowledge of phraseological terms among people. The basis of this part is the questionnaire, which was submitted to the fifty respondents, twenty-five women and twenty-five men. People who were asked, were of various ages and achieved various levels of education. The questionnaires are designed to gauge how often people use idioms in everyday communication and if they understand their mening. In conclusion, I summarize the results of the survey and evaluate the data.
