Slope stability calculations for small dams
Hajda, Jindřich ; Hodák,, Jiří (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
There are approximately 20 000 small dams in the Czech Republic. This number entails many ponds or small flood attenuation reservoirs, which provide protection against floods. We do not know much about the structure and material properties of these earth dikes. Concerning the small dam stability the current technical standard ČSN 75 2410 focuses foremost on the angle of both the upstream and downstream slopes in case of different materials, and the method of the stability assessment in case of a dam height being 6m or more. Most of these earth dikes are still standing in spite not being built according to any technical standards. They do not follow any standards mostly because they were built before the modern technical standards were published. This diploma thesis focuses on assigning the degree of a reserve in the safety factor for studies of 5 homogeneous earth dikes and 3 inhomogeneous earth dikes. The calculation was done using the Plaxis 2D software using to the shear strength reduction method. The Calculation of the safety degree is made for 4 typical load cases.

Budgetary allocation of taxes
Suja, Ladislav ; Sedmihradská, Lucie (advisor) ; Hovorka, Petr (referee)
Considering the constant growth of expenditures of the local budgets, there is an increase of their income allocated through shared taxes. This bachelor thesis aims to find out how the two justice principles are fulfilled and which of them predominates in given situations. An important step towards achieving the results is the analysis of income in case of the value added tax and the income tax. The thesis focuses on the year 2014 and derives from the amendment to the Act concerning the tax assignment law (2013). The analysis showed that a profit principle is preferred among all the taxes, concerning valued added tax the most.

Study of Substructural Changes of Ultra-Fine Grained Mg-Alloys during Cyclic Loading and Thermal Exposition
Štěpánek, Roman ; Jan, Vít (referee) ; Hutař, Pavel (referee) ; Pantělejev, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with complex analysis of fine-grained magnesium alloy AZ91 prepared by ECAP process. Mechanical properties of investigated alloy in different states at various external conditions are compared. The structure of this material is inherently unstable therefore changes on microstructural and sub-microstructural level occur during thermal exposure and/or mechanical loading. These changes are analysed and quantified for investigated alloy in selected states in this thesis.

Intellectual property protection by Customs
Drahoňovský, Tomáš ; Uhlík, Milan (advisor) ; Tomáš, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to detect the causes, extent and means of breaching the intellectual property rights, including its negative consequences from the point of supervisory activities of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic. Also to suggest possible measures to enhance the service and to eliminate any imperfections in the legislative, its abidance or in organization and work management if found. The thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains, according to the author, the most important international treaties, conventions and agreements, as well as the European Union law and the national legislation. In the practical part the author states his opinion on the legislation concerning the protection of intellectual property rights, brief classification of the intellectual property rights and it introduces the controlling authority including the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic and its procedures towards the goods that breaches the intellectual property. Furthermore, it presents the statistic data concerning the seized goods. The thesis states the penalties for breaching the intellectual property rights, for both the administrative delicts and criminal offences. It also contains a questionnaire carried out within the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic which purpose was to find out their opinion on the legislation, organization and work management in the field of intellectual property. The results are analysed in the conclusion of the thesis and it presents the imperfections in the areas stated above. The author suggests suitable adjustments to eliminate these imperfections according to his best judgement even though he is not a lawyer. Finally the author reviews the issues mentioned throughout the whole thesis and summarizes the aim of the thesis.

The central bank and its function in the economy
Guth, Karel ; Kopecká, Lenka (advisor) ; Soukup, Alexandr (referee)
The following thesis describes the importance of the central bank in the states economy and its position in the structure of the banking and financial system. It deals with its monetary policy and functions such as the role of the state bank, issuance activity or the regulation and supervision of commercial banks. The theoretical part is concluded by describing the Maastricht convergence criteria, which is built on in a questionnaire survey of the practical part. The practical part is divided into two sections. The first is focused on the exchange rate as a monetary tool of the Czech National Bank. It attempts to compare how successfully CNB has achieved its predictions from 2014 (the year when the foreign exchange interventions were initiated). The second section contains an interpretation of the results from the survey, with the aim of identifying the attitudes of Czech citizens towards adopting the euro currency. Subsequently, testing of a statistical hypothesis for contingency between selected issues was performed and connections within the columnar frequency of the contingency tables were observed and picked out.

In theoretic Part of this Work are specified Allowance Organization within the Framework of National Economy with the emphasis on specific Function of Public Sector and Public Goods. Briefly are described both Types of Allowance Organization and how works theirAccounting. Specific Properties are showed off in Comparison with other Business Subjects. In practical Part is firstly described particular Allowance Organization ZŠ a MŠ Dolní Břežany forward for the historical Development and forward for the inner Workings, including personal Workforce. There is also specified Key Uneconomic Activity (Education), witch depends on Institutor and Economic Aktivity. For Economy Analysis are used Budget Report Cash-Flow in particular Years, Balance Report taking into most important Items of Financing and Profit and Loss Account separately for Key Uneconomic Activity and Economic Activity. ZŠ a MŠ Dolní Břežany belongs in last Years to rapidly developing Schools with trying to improve Quality of Education and School is succesfull in that besides because of Projects from European Unit. School is trying to improve also Internal Functioning, which relates with Improving Accounting, which is investigated. Potential Suggestions and Recommendations and Conclusions are in the End of the Work.

Reconstruction and model of postglacial spread of subgenus Alnus in Europe
Jelenová, Hana ; Barták, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Mandák, Bohumil (referee)
Many paradoxes exist about postglacial tree migration and they dont solve for many European trees. One example is wetland trees subgenus Alnus, which spread across Europe during the last glacial very quickly according to fossil records. The aim of this thesis is detection their migration potential, with the help of empirical evaluation of interpolated pollen data (interpolation method IDW) and a simulation model based on environmental characteristics of the species. The results of interpolated maps are similar to the rate previously estimated speed and the results of simulation model achieve these speeds only by A. incana but with specific extreme environmental conditions. The mason of this may be adapting its seeds to anemochorii because the simulation model confirmed their good potential to spread by the wind. Results of model for A. glutinosa don´t confirm the ability to rapidly spread by the wind and the observed rate must have another explanation. Maybe rivers can explain the empirical spread rate. This suggests visualization of migration lines and river networks. The model has also been disclosure of environmental properties that are related to migration potential. Within the parameterization of the model is demonstrated, that R0 of A. glutinosa is significantly better than A. incana. But main parameters of anemochory model are terminal velocity and generation time, which is shorter by the A. incana, and therefore is probably able to spread faster than A. glutinosa.

SMV-2016-16: Emission and absorption of the thermal radiation of metallic materials for space crafts
Králík, Tomáš
The goal of the experimental study was verification of the radiative heat exchange by emission or absorption of the thermal radiation of materials for parts of a future meteorological satellite. The samples were coated by a protective metallic layer by a magnetron sputtering. It is supposed that this coating substantially decreases the emission of a thermal radiation in comparison with the bare alloy. Within the study were verified also the thermal radiative properties of samples made of bare sandblasted alloy, samples with the protective coating and samples treated by anodic oxidation. The thermal radiative properties were measured in high vacuum with sample temperatures in the range from 25 K to 320 K.

Were CNB's foreign-exchange interventions from November 2013 necessary?
Volf, Matěj ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Zamrazilová, Eva (referee)
This thesis deals with CNB foreign-exchange intervention from November 2013 in context of assumptions and impacts on the Czech economy. The theoretical part presents important monetary policy aspects, from conventional and unconventional tools to inflation targeting and deflation, to understand theoretical framework of analysis. Analytic part takes a look on Czech economy condition before interventions, especially inflation. Intervention impacts and exit strategies are examined further. Based on the analyzed data this thesis concludes that foreign-exchange interventions by Czech National Bank were not necessary and inevitable action.
