Legislative framework of immigration policy in the Czech Republic and the impact on the Czech economy

This thesis describe the Czech immigration policy from 1989 to the present. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts of migration and theoretical approaches to migration. There is also explained the impact of migration on the economy of countries In the practical part is analyzed one of the objectives of the work which relates to the development of immigration policy in the Czech Republic and their effects on selected economic indicators. Further details are described and evaluated projects most active migration policy. The last part, which brings the greatest added value, is the recommendation for Czech immigration policy. This recommendations are changes in the legislative framework of existing projects and sales of long-term visas.

University study exchange stays as an aspect of international relations between Slovak republic and USA

Bachelor thesis deals with university study exchange stays as an aspect of international relations between USA and Slovak republic. The aim of the thesis is to find out what Slovak republic does and could do to attract more students from United States to study at Slovak universities. The thesis starts with an explanation of public diplomacy and cultural diplomacy and then continues with characterization of some of their instruments. One of the cultural diplomacy instruments are university study exchange stays, which this bachelor thesis is built on. Second chapter deals with the Slovak policy related to foreign students, the circumstances of their acceptance and the impact of migration of foreign students on Slovakia. At the end of second chapter there is a conversation with two American students studying in Slovakia. Third chapter is focused mainly on arrangements, which could be reasons for higher interest of American students to study in Slovakia. In the end of bachelor thesis there are mentioned methods of promotion of Slovak universities abroad and there is also appointed number of options of financial scholarships.

Analysis and design of information system functionality for J.P.-STAV spol. s r. o.

The goal of this thesis is to analyse requirements for information system in selected construction company. The aim is to analyse company processes and design their possible improvement. Based on this analysis the thesis makes suggestions of suitable functionality supporting business processes as efficiently as possible. The work is divided into four parts. The first part defines theoretical basis for analysis and design of information systems. The second part contains analysis of the company, its policies and strategies. There is also described the current state of the information system, the overall infrastructure of the company and exchange of documents and information. The third section analyses main processes and gives suggestions for their improvement. The last section contains analysis of company's weaknesses and risks. There are also mentioned proposal features that remove these deficiences.

Analysis of Foreign Exchange Reserves of Bank of Russia in the Years 2004 - 2012

This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of foreign exchange reserves of Bank of Russia in the years 2004 -- 2012. The first chapter explains the most important theoretical terms, knowledge of which is necessary to understanding the topic, and describes the theoretical approaches to determining the minimum or optimal level of reserve holdings. The next section is devoted to the Bank of Russia, instruments of monetary policy it uses and a special regime of exchange reserves accumulation, related to Russia's position as one of the world's largest exporters. The last part concerns with the analysis of Russia's foreign exchange reserve holdings in the years 2004 -- 2012 from the various views and is closed with calculating the minimum level of reserve holdings required by indicators described in the theoretical part.

Monetary Reform 1919 in Czechoslovakia

This thesis will focused on the monetary reform in 1919 in Czechoslovakia. The first part of the thesis describes the creation of an independent Czechoslovakia republic, Austro-Hungarian crown and analysing Alois Rašín's personality so as his economical view. The main part emphasises the preparation and implementation of the monetary reform and how the targets were accomplished. As follows the study concentrates on the concept of monetary policy which pursues the monetary reform that is provided by Rašín's influence and character. After unsuccessful monetary restriction, crown was strengthen via foreign currency exchange and this led to reach Alois Rašín's monetary concept of deflation policy. Not only the study looks into the monetary reform itself but also analyses monetary policy associated with gaining of independency and appreciation of Czechoslovakian currency. The conclusion sums up the monetary reform and shows that the reform itself as the tool of deflation policy didn't succeed and thus the appreciation of the currency through foreign currency had positive but also negative impact on the whole economy.

Analysis of impact of legalization of precious metal coins in Utah

This thesis deals with the law, which was enacted in Utah and makes gold and silver coins legal tender in this state. Goal of this thesis is to show how individuals will change their actions, especially regarding their selection of medium of exchange. The thesis shows deficiencies in an acted law and of feral alternative, which could enable more spread use of gold and silver coins. Thesis uses metodology of austrian school, which deals with monetary policy.

Chinese economy and foreign trade imbalances

Chinese economy and foreign trade imbalances The paper analyses current global imbalances in international trade that are characterized on one side by huge US current account deficit, on the other side by growing economies of South East Asia that are accumulating foreign exchange reserves and consequently investing them back to the US dollar denominated assets. This way they basically facilitate further growth of US indebtedness. The question is how much longer are these imbalances sustainable and how much longer will be foreign investors willing to lend the money to the US. The thesis consists of introduction; followed by explanation of circumstances that allowed these imbalances to reach such a large scale. Second chapter addresses to the brief description of US economy, impact of growing budget deficit on current account deficit and new trends in financing these deficits. In the third chapter, the economy in China is thoroughly analyzed, its monetary policy, development of foreign trade and its share on widening of current trade imbalances. Low-threshold institutions for persons dependent on addictive substances

Thesis deals with education and treatment approaches for persons dependent on addictive substances, specifically low-threshold programs for drug addicts. In the theoretical part of the defined terms Public Health, Harm Reduction, low-threshold institutions are discussed in detail online and telephone counseling centers, contact centers and street work. Work is generally focused on low-threshold programs, their history, professional team and clients. The empirical part is touching lives of drug addicts and their "drug career", which is reflected in areas such as family and partner relationships, health, housing, financial situation, crime, attempts at treatment, and more. Information was obtained on the basis of questionnaires and information gained from direct experience with clients. System changes in the Czech foreign trade and their influence on its structure

Bachelor thesis consists of six chapters. In the first chapter the essential problems of economic transformation and characteristic features of the Czechoslovak economy are described. Monopoly of the Czechoslovak foreign trade and its abolition at the beginning of the nineties are specified in the second chapter. In the third section author deals with changes in exchange policy and the path towards convertibility. In the fourth and fifth chapters alterations to trade policy containing tariffs, quotas, instruments of trade policy based on conventional basis and state support of export are explained. In the last chapter the influence of transformation on the structure of the Czech foreign trade is graphically depicted and described.

Were CNB's foreign-exchange interventions from November 2013 necessary?

This thesis deals with CNB foreign-exchange intervention from November 2013 in context of assumptions and impacts on the Czech economy. The theoretical part presents important monetary policy aspects, from conventional and unconventional tools to inflation targeting and deflation, to understand theoretical framework of analysis. Analytic part takes a look on Czech economy condition before interventions, especially inflation. Intervention impacts and exit strategies are examined further. Based on the analyzed data this thesis concludes that foreign-exchange interventions by Czech National Bank were not necessary and inevitable action.
