Title: Fluid-structure interaction of compressible flow Author: RNDr. Jaroslava Hasnedlová Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics, Institute of Applied Mathematics Supervisors: Prof. RNDr. Miloslav Feistauer, DrSc., Dr. h. c., Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Rolf Rannacher Supervisors' e-mail addresses: feist@karlin.mff.cuni.cz, rannacher@iwr.uni-heidelberg.de Abstract: The presented work is split into two parts. The first part is devoted to the theory of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element (DGFE) method for the space-time discretization of a nonstationary convection-diffusion initial-boundary value problem with nonlinear convection and linear diffusion. The DGFE method is applied sep- arately in space and time using, in general, different space grids on different time levels and different polynomial degrees p and q in space and time discretization. The main result is the proof of error estimates in L2 (L2 )-norm and in DG-norm formed by the L2 (H1 )-seminorm and penalty terms. The second part of the thesis deals with the realization of fluid-structure interaction problem of the compressible viscous flow with the elastic structure. The time-dependence of the domain occupied by the fluid is treated by the ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) method, when the compress- ible Navier-Stokes equations are formulated in...

An experimental study of initial succession on different substrata: analysis of changes in plant species cover and some soil biological parameters and their relationships
KRESÁČ, Martin
A four year experimental study of initial stages of succession on different substrata (sand, peat and gray clay overburden from brown coal mining) was carried out. The substrata were transplanted into two different landscape types in the Czech Republic. Control plots were filled with autochthonous topsoil treated with high temperature vapor. Plots with un-treated autochthonous topsoil were also established. Plant species cover and several soil-biological parameters (soil microbial biomass, basal soil respiration, exchangeable pH(KCl), organic-C extractable by potassium sulfate solution, and nitrate-N content) were measured once a year. Obtained data were mainly processed by unimodal (plant cover data) and liner (soil-biological data) ordination methods. Biological species traits (life span, seed dispersal vector, seed bank type, ecological strategy type following Grime, life form following Raunkiaer) were used to characterize early stages of plant succession. Vegetation and measured soil-biological parameters, except pH(KCl), were significantly changing during four growing seasons. Variance partitioning analysis based on plant species cover data indicated the landscape type to be the main governing factor and physico-chemical characteristics of substrate to be less important during the studied initial stages of succession. The same analysis based on soil-biological parameters showed the reverse result. Great variability of plant species ecological traits was noticed during four growing seasons. The earliest plant colonizers were mainly ruderal, anemochorous terophytes with persistent seed bank. The number of species with C-strategy type increased during the study. The relationship between the average plant species cover and measured soil-biological parameters was also examined during the experimental study of early succession. Direct and indirect ordination revealed the average sum of plant species cover to be weakly positively correlated with soil microbial biomass, basal soil respiration, nitrate-N, potassium sulfate extractable organic-C, metabolic quocient (qCO2) and negatively correlated to exchangeable pH(KCl). The relationship was significant only in the case of microbial biomass and potassium sulfate extractable organic-C. More detailed studies of the relationship between aboveground plant species biomass and soil microbial communities in initial stages of succession are required. Comparability of presented study is limited because not many experimental investigations of similar kind have been presented until now.

The developement of urban build-up area and urban infrastructure in Benešov in the years 1871-1914
Roubík, Michal ; Sejk, Michal (referee) ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor)
My bachelor thesis covers the topic: The Development of Urban build-up Area and Urban Infrastructure in Benešov in the Years 1871 - 1914. The sources of information on which basis the thesis is written originate from SOKA Benešov fund as well as from several published scientific books. In the beginning there are included two chapters that serve as an initiation into the given theme. The first chapter briefly takes down the construction development of the city before 1871. This development is followed by another chapter that thoroughly deals with the city development in the time period primarily aimed by this thesis. The introduction is completed with a chapter Railway, in which it is described the development of its net. The focal point of my thesis is composed by two main thematic areas: the urban planning development and the infrastructure development of the city. In the first theme area there is described the concrete construction development of the whole city, its streets and open spaces. The view of the architects or buildings is included. The theme area the infrastructure development of the city consists of chapters deeply dealing with the development of an every single infrastructure component - urban sewerage and street layout, lightning, water supply and electrification. Each chapter outlines the...

Case Study of physioterapy treament of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis
Sejkorová, Barbora ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Mahr, Edwin (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis This thesis deals with the issues of physiotherapy treatment after fractures of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis. On the basis of knowledge of functional anatomy, kinesiology, traumatology, orthopaedics and by Czech and foreign literature there is an effort to clarify the time and practice schedule of post-operative rehabilitation for the above diagnosis. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the function of the shoulder girdle, its individual structures and the influence of segmental defects of the shoulder girdle on upper limb mobility. It also deals with proximal humerus fractures and their treatment. In conclusion, it discusses the issue of post-operative rehabilitation in terms of time and practice. The practical part describes the specific case study of a female patient after the osteosynthesis of the proximal humerus. It includes an initial kinesiological analysis on the basis of what a physiotherapy procedure had been applied to improve the overall mobility of the upper limb. After finishing treatment a final kinesiological analysis and evaluation of the effect of therapy have been performed, both...

The effect of Goeckerman therapy on selected immune markers in patients with psoriasis
Kondělková, Kateřina ; Andrýs, Ctirad (advisor) ; Posová, Helena (referee)
1 Summary The effect of Goeckerman therapy on selected immune markers in patients with psoriasis Psoriasis is a systemic inflammatory disorder with skin manifestation. Classical approach to treat psoriasis is Goeckerman therapy (GT) which is based on daily application of pharmaceutical coal tar on affected skin with subsequent exposition to UV light. The aim of this study was to observe selected immunological markers and cell subpopulations in patients with psoriasis and to elucidate the effect of GT on these parameters. We evaluated T regulatory cells (Treg), membrane CD163 expression on monocytes, serum levels of CD163 (sCD163), membrane TLR2 and TLR4 expression on monocytes and serum levels of TLR2 (sTLR2). The immunofluorescent analysis was performed on erythrocyte lysed peripheral blood using a flow cytometer FC500 Cytomics (Beckman Coulter) and FACSCalibur (Becton Dickinson). The level of soluble markers was detected by sandwich enzyme-liked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). There was no significant difference in the relative number of Treg cells in the peripheral blood of healthy blood donors and patients with psoriasis before initiation of GT. The relative number of Treg is significantly increased in psoriatic patients after GT compared to the pre-treatment level. In comparison with levels in controls...

Analysis of organizations' approach to corporate social responsibility in comparison with requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative Standard.
Holinková, Jana ; Plášková, Alena (advisor) ; Hykš, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis deals with analysis of the quality of corporate social responsibility reports sampled from in Czech Republic seated organizations. First chaps concentrate on themes of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The thesis treats of individual instruments in the field of CSR (standards, approaches or codes). The focus is concentrated on G3 Standard of Global Reporting Initiative, which is crucial for the whole analysis. GRI Standard is internationally reputable instrument for CSR reporting. Before the analysis itself the thesis offers short view of researches in the sphere of sustainable development. CSR reporting is still not a common practice among organizations doing business in Czech Republic. There are some exceptions. What is the quality of CSR reports of firms who are in Czech Republic corporate social responsible? Fundamental part of the thesis is concentrated in the analysis of five CSR reports according to the statement of requirements of GRI Standard. From the analysis results some recommendation for firms who want to report abreast of GRI Standard.

Josef Ladislav Píč (The Influence of special Disputs for his private and social Life)
KÖSSL, Jan
The thesis is lined in chronological sequence and dividend into six part, its titles are development of science in 19th century {--} history of archeologic research, childhood and adolescence, looking for the vocational integration, the science activity, special disputes, the meaning of publication and legacy Josef Ladislav Píč. The first part is divoted to the history of archeology by its diffident beginnings to its conversion into the real science. The second part treats of birth of Josef Ladislav Píč in 1847, his childhood in Mšeno, Česká Lípa and the years during his grammar schoul attendance in Prague and formation of his ideas. The next part is divoted to the adulthood of Píč and looking for his social enlistment. In the 5th part it is written about his individual science activity. The last but one chapter records his long-term science disputs, which leaded into his early death. The final part sums up his contribution to the science and the legacy of his life´s work.

Solidarity in legal obligations
Dočkal, Tomáš ; Švestka, Jiří (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
Summary. In this thesis there is treated legal institute solidary obligation relationship. It is one of that legal institutes which are not in the limelight of as many specialized works as they should be for their frequency of their use in practice. Although it could seem at first sight that the solidary obligation relationship is formed enough that there cannot arise any faintnesses there, but the opposite is true. There is not a one united theoretical view of solidary obligation relationship; the solidary obligation relationship can be understand as a one obligation relationship by the first view called theory of unity, but it can be understand as more obligation relationships which exist between creditor and every solidary debtors (in case of passive pluralism) or between debtor and every solidary creditor (in case of active pluralism) by the other view called theory of plurality. The most of specialized literature which take heed of solidary obligation relationship and which were written in recent time understand the solidary obligation relationship in accordance with the theory of plurality. This thesis in opposite to that specialized works understands solidary obligation relationship as a one obligation relationship in accordance with the theory of unity which is preffered in practice although it is...

Portuguese proper nouns in Czech
Robovská, Lenka ; Hricsina, Jan (referee) ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (advisor)
Portuguese proper nouns, namely anthroponyms, in Czech are the subject of this both theoretical and empirical thesis. It seeks to map the use of this marginal vocabulary in Czech, to establish the extent of difficulties these names cause and to recommend a consistent way of treating them. It also relates Portuguese names to a broader context of foreign anthroponyms. The thesis covers three subtopics: firstly the pronunciation of these names in Czech, secondly the choice of inflectional paradigms and inflection of names and surnames together, thirdly the orthographical change in Czech. The basis for this work are publications on foreign proper nouns in Czech. These consist of codification handbooks and other relevant works on the Czech language, several works on names from a particular language and also various dictionaries, encyclopedias, history textbooks and other publications to certain extent touching the subject. These are confronted with a vast research, the first part of which is an excerption from publications written or translated by thirteen experts on the history of Portuguese speaking countries and on the literature of Portugal and Brazil. The second part analyzes one hundred of respondents inflecting names of five well-known figures of either Portugal or Brazil past and present. Results are...
