Comparing of the Rm-system Czech Stock Exchange with the Prague Stock Exchange and with the foreign exchanges.
VESELÁ, Ludmila
This thesis compares various attributes of the two stock exchanges that are currently in existence in the Czech Republic: the Rm-system Czech Stock Exchange and the Prague Stock Exchange. Detailed comparisons are made between various specifics of membership policies, trading routines, fees and indices at these exchanges and these are then related to the corresponding attributes at two representative foreign exchanges: the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. A principal question to be answered in the thesis is whether having two independent organizers of stock-market trading is beneficial to the investors and overall practical for the market of the size of the Czech Republic. The first, theoretical part of the thesis is focused on historical evolution and characteristics of the stock exchanges. In this part we give a general classification of stock exchanges, discuss in some detail the kinds of traded financial instruments, describe trading participants and elucidate the nitty-gritty of trading systems. The second, practical part of the thesis then examines detailed facts about individual stock exchanges in the order listed in the theoretical part with the emphasis put on the differences between the stock markets under study. Various representative data is collected in tables and/or recorded in charts and graphs. Particular distinctions between the stock exchanges are analyzed and the distinguished aspects are highlighted. The conclusion summarizes obtained results and finally answers, in the mild affirmative, the question whether it is beneficial to have the stock market in the Czech Republic served by two independent stock exchanges.

Evaluation of conditions for the development of clusters in South Bohemia region
FENCLOVÁ, Michaela
The diploma work deals with development of clusters in South Bohemia. The aim of the work is the analysies of present situation of production creation of clusters in South Bohemia, evaluation of possibilities for the development and inception of new clusters and comparison with the situation in abroad. In the first part of the work the conception of clusters, types and kinds of clusters, support programs etc are characterized . The second part is describes South Bohemia, scientific institutions, supporting institutions and clusters whitch are in a phase of preparation and clusters which already exist. In this part I enquired into pertinence of conditions for the creation of clusters in South Bohemia according to the number of employees and according to the share of added value. Next I asked assistants from small and middle-sized companies about their awareness about clusters and about their possible cooperation in this cluster. South Bohemia has significant branches which have high potential for creating clusters. It results from the coefficient of the localization. These are branches of Fishing and fish farming, Production and main of electricity, gas and water and Agriculture, forestry and hunting. South Bohemia has great presumtions for development of wood industry, paper industry, fishing and agriculture. From the query I found out that small and middle-sized companies do not have much information about clusters. Small and middle-sized companies do not trust the cooperation. No of the correspondent companies wants to establish a cluster or to enter a cluster. South Bohemia has big potential for creation of clusters. In the region there are a lot of bussines institution (universities, research institutes) and many institutions, which should inprove the awareness about clusters (CzechInvest, Economic Chamber, South Bohemian Agency for Support of Innovative Enterprising). These institutions organize conferences, workshops, presentations and expositions. They also help in start of the business, in development, in establishment of clusters and they inform about possible cooperation.

How birds judge the risk of predation during winter
TVARDÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
I investigated how willingness to risk the exposure to a predator in order to gain access to food is expresed within a group of wintering tits (Paridae). Stuffed models of sparrowhawk, kestrel, thrush, jay, pigeon and a lump of cotton wool (similarly sized of a pigeon) were used as a potential predators ({\clqq}objects``) and were presented near a feeder. My data suggested that Paridae are able to recognise the danger of {\clqq}objects``. Birds risk exposure to sparrowhawk, kestrel and jay less than to other {\clqq}objects``. No significant relation existed between behaviour in presence of kestrel and sparrowhawks. Behaviour of Paridae on feeder is influenced by temperature and snow too.

Determination of Plasticity in Tablets from Microcrystalline Cellulose
Křivková, Blanka ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Musilová, Marie (referee)
Determination of plasticity in tablets from microcrystalline celullose Blanka Křivková, 2007 Microcrystalline celullose is widely used as a filler for direct compression. Avicel PH 102 is very often used because of its size of particles (100 μm), appropriate, bulk volume, compressibility. The aim of Diploma thesis was to determine plasticity, to describe influence of the compression force on the plasticity and influence of the type of microcrystalline cellulose and compression conditions on plasticity. The plasticity was determined from graphs showing the decreasing trend of force on the time.Three methods using "one-point" evaluation put into rate value of maximal and minimal forces. The third method evaluate rate of area. These three methods gave comparable result. Two sections of curve from graphs showing the dependence of the plasticity on the compression force can be distinguished. The first one characterized the phase of precompression second one characterized the plastic deformacion of tablets. We can also confirmed the influence of different compression conditions on the second section of the curve. Type of microcrystalline celullose on this section was minimal.

Effect of manual lymph drainage on the healing of muscle
Krajsová, Barbora ; Hnátová, Iva (referee) ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor)
Title of work: Effect of manual lymph drainage on the healing of muscle Objective: The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact and effect of manual lymph drainage on wound rupture of the muscle. Method: Development and comparison of six case studies of patients diagnosed with muscle rupture. Three patients were treated with manual lymphatic drainage, the remaining three patients were treated with rest therapy. The effect of treatment was documented using diagnostic ultrasound. All patients were performed one frame muscle rupture after myocardial muscle injury and second inspection, after three weeks of the treatment. Size rupture were compared before and after treatment. Results: After comparing six case histories of patients diagnosed with muscle rupture was found that for the first group that was treated with manual lymphatic drainage has been reduced swelling, hematoma, and thus muscle rupture. Conclusion: The effect of manual lymph drainage in the group of probands was noticeable. However, such results shouldn't be generally applicable due to the small number of probands.

Support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Czech Republic in terms of reference networking- impact on income tax and newly established working positions in 2014
Pelikánová, Šárka ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Bartůsková, Lucia (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Czech Republic focusing on one of the market-based forms of such support in terms of networking. Specifically, the work is aimed at reference networking, and describes it in detail using an example of its representative in the Czech market. Within its theoretical part, the work defines the concept of small and medium-sized business. Further it explains the concept of promoting entrepreneurship in terms of public and market support. In the framework of this distinction, examples of some of the forms of such support have been listed. On the example of Switzerland, local representative forms of public support of entrepreneurship have been presented and compared to those in the Czech Republic. Further, networking concept has been introduced, and some principles of its operation have been defined. Different kinds of networking have been described. In the practical part, functioning of reference networking in particular, has been described more in detail on the example of the company Business for Breakfast Česká republika s.r.o. Using a questionnaire survey among the members of this concept, its benefits for both the members of the concept, as well as for the state budget have been investigated. The analysed benefits are examined in terms of both budget revenues, as well as in terms of cost savings. Fields of business, for which reference networking seems to be most beneficial, have been mentioned. In the end, benefits of representative public forms of business support with reference marketing have been compared. The study has confirmed that reference networking is an effective form of market-based support for small and medium-sized businesses, and has a positive impact on both the state budget, as well as on creating a favourable business environment in the Czech Republic. Despite public forms of business, these benefits are demonstrable and measurable.

Are people more altruistic towards persons of the same sex?
Bartůněk, Martin ; Chytilová, Helena (advisor) ; Kadeřábková, Božena (referee)
This thesis deals with the differences in the degree of altruism between men and women, with varying degrees of information. In three rounds of the dictator game experiment, the dictators decided how to redistribute the money between themselves and the recipient. The differences in altruism among the sexes were already dealt with, for example in the works by Andreoni, Vesterlund (2001), Dufwenberg, Muren (2004) or Eckel, Grossman (1998), whose experiments served to inspire the creation of the experimentation in this work. However, the differences in behaviour of men and women in all the observed rounds proved to be statictically insignificant, in this work. The results of this work do not support the hypothesis of a higher degree of altruism in the situation when the dictator has the information about the sex of the recipient, compared to the situation where he does not have it. Male dictators, as well as female ones, behaved equally altruistically to female and male and anonymous recipients.
