Dualistic vision of the world in prosaic works by members of Scapigliatura movement
Pletichová, Markéta ; Flemrová, Alice (advisor) ; Pelán, Jiří (referee)
Abstrac After the long period of Risorgimento and several attempts of unification of Italy, the expectations of the Italian nation finally materialized when the Italian state was solemnly declared on 4th March 1861. However the territories of Veneto and Rome were annexed only several years later, even though not in such a heroic way as the Italians hoped for. Despite the great effort of Garibaldi the final unification took place only after the French loss in Prussian-French war of 1870, which was difficult to bear for the pride of Italians. Another disappointment was the organization and functioning of the new state, which didn"t work smoothly. In some cities the artistic circles started to build groups of dissatisfied intellectuals, one of these groups was the "milanese scapigliatura ", which reached it"s heyday between 1860- 1880. Their poetics, or the way of their artistic expression, was closely related to their humor. They lead a dubious way of life, trying to escape the reality through the drugs and alcohol. They were strongly influenced by the romanticism and the positivists. They aimed to show the truth in their works. They refused the traditional, stereotypical literary form and were trying to reach stylistic and linguistic progress. Among the main protagonists were Camillo Boito (1836-1914),...

Preparation of expression system of gamma-lactamase and expression testing
Magyerková, Monika ; Ingr, Marek (advisor) ; Šácha, Pavel (referee)
γ-lactamase is an enzyme clearing five-membered lactam cycles. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is one of its potential substrates. Degradation of PVP by γ-lactamase is being studied due to its eventual use in waste-water purifying plants. The aim of the work was to prepare a synthetic gene from the bacterium Comamonas acidovorans and to clone it into the expression vector pET22b. PCA method was used for the synthesis of the γ-lactamase gene. 1725 bp long sequence of the γ-lactamase gene was split into two parts (synthons) which were synthesized individually. After the synthesis restriction cleavage and ligation to the vector pUC19 were performed. Competent cells E. coli, strain DH5α, were transformed by the obtained construct. After the sequence confirmation both synthons were cleaved by restriction endonucleases and connected by single-step ligation to the plasmid pET22b. Expression bacterial cells E. coli, strain BL21(DE3)RIL, were transformed by the recombinant plasmid containing the connected synthons and expression of the recombinant γ-lactamase was tested. Sequence of the clone producing a protein of the expected length was confirmed by sequencing analysis. The prepared plasmid will be used for the expression of recombinant γ- lactamase. (In English)

Plocková, Barbora ; Černá, Stanislava (advisor) ; Zahradníčková, Marie (referee)
European Private Company (function, state of preparation of European legislation and perspectives) The European Private Company is to become a new company form based on European law. The proposal for a Regulation regarding the European Private Company Statute (hereinafter: Regulation) presented by the European Commission aims at improving conditions for small and medium enterprises (hereinafter: SME's) in the European Single Market by providing them with the same, flexible and uniform set of company law rules across European Union. The European Company Statute is expected to reduce complying costs and remove some obstacles SME's are now facing when conducting cross-border business. The aim of my thesis is to identify the objectives of the proposal and to illustrate the state of discussion on European Private Company among Member States. It seeks to describe the reasons and the approach of European Commission when drafting provisions on some core issues of the proposal and to address the changes these provisions have been subjected to during the discussion in European Council. This paper attempts to outline the perspectives of European Private Company Statute proposed by Commission compared with the perspectives of Compromise proposals introduced by Presidency of European Council. The thesis is...

The thesis focuses primarily on the internal development of the political party in this period and its opposition status. In the case of development are studied the causes of intra-party crisis in 1926, the reasons why Stříbrný and his supporters were expelled from the party by the XI. party congress in Brno in September 1926 and the consequences that followed as expelling members of the party, financial problems and break-up of the political alliance. This thesis also focuses how the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party acted as an opposition to the Gentlemen's coalition and its influence of mitigation government policy, which limited social legislations.

Altruism and solidarity in Christianity as an impetus of social work
Erdinger, Michael ; Tomeš, Igor (advisor) ; Černá, Milena (referee)
charitable projects were born in church environment and church members were among the first social workers ever. Do Christian churches have such a remarkable influence on social work evolution? Is Christian altruism, help without the expectation of subsequent satisfaction, involved in social services development? Is the social mission of humanity truly part of the accents of church doctrine? This paper tried to evaluate whether the church highlights, supports and develops social and charitable pursuit, if it invites its members to gratuitous support for other members of the community and if it was at the eve of social activities in contemporary society.

Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU and Agricultural Negotiations in the Framework of the World Trade Organization
Drbohlavová, Marta ; Urban, Luděk (advisor) ; Látal, Jan (referee)
The main topic of this diploma thesis is the recent reform of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). The second topic is the agricultural negotiations in the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Last but not least, the question of the influence of the negotiations in the WTO on the CAP reform is discussed. The first chapter concerns with the details of the process of the CAP reform and it also shows the main differences between the previous forms of the CAP and reformed one (e.g. the reforms to the intervention mechanism). Secondly, this chapter includes the description and the analysis of the fundamental key elements of the new CAP - the single farm payment (SFP), cross compliance, modulation and rural development. It is expected that the SFP brings visible and necessary changes in the financing of the CAP. The SFP decouples the payments and production. In the future farmers make decisions firmly according to the situation on the market. There is no more any incentive for the production. Full decoupling was an ideal presented by the European Commission. Member states, however, decide to maintain a proportion of direct aids to farmers in their existing form. It means hat in some sectors the idea of the full decoupling is not brought into being. The reform also emphasizes...

Debt management accomplishments are confronted with the set out strategy and its objectives. The thesis also consists of the characteristics of securities in use (treasury bills, medium-term and long-term government bonds) as well as of legal regulations of auctions by which the securities are placed on the domestic market. An independent subchapter is dedicated to foreign issues of bonds.

The concept of investor in international agreements on the protection of investments
Dubovan, Michal ; Balaš, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šturma, Pavel (referee)
The term "investor" in international investment agreements The aim of this thesis is to explain, compare and evaluate the meaning of investor as one of the key terms used in the area of international investment protection. From a systematic point of view, international investment activities are governed by international economic law, which is a sub-discipline of public international law. Foreign investment as a transfer of assets from one country to another in order to generate wealth is a kind of activity known and done since the era of colonialism or even before. The subjects carrying out these operations are called investors. However the framework of international investment protection as we know it today started out when the so called bilateral investment treaties (BITs) became commonly used to protect and promote international investing. These treaties entered into by states as sovereign members of the international community stipulated conditions to protect each other's investors in order to stimulate the flow of free capital over the borders. As mentioned before the term investor inter alia is a fundamental part of each international investment agreement. It specifies the range of subjects that are protected under such treaty and thus entitled to pursue their claims on international level in case of...
