Annuity : regulation, charges and costs of the payout phase of the funded pension pillar
Hochmeister, Tomáš ; Bezděk, Vladimír (advisor) ; Schneider, Ondřej (referee)
The growing importance of defined contribution pension arrangements has drawn increased attention to the means by which retired people draw down their assets. Most of countries require annuitisation of at least a fraction of defined contribution plan accumulations. Annuity markets have recently attracted some criticism with respect to pricing and its costs. Requiring individuals to participate in the annuity market can reduce selection effects. Right incentives and conditions created by the government can enhance the effectiveness of annuity market. But excessive requirements and inappropriate regulation can have substantial cost for the individual. We compare the value of life annuity products in an international context emphasizing the case of Chile and Sweden and the role annuities are to play in the new mandatory defined contribution pension plans of Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Drama in Neues Deutsches Theater and Kleine Bühne in the hand of theatre director Dr. Paul Eger (1932-1938)
Melkusová, Jitka ; Just, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kazda, Jaromír (referee)
In the 1930ies prague had about a million citizens. Approximately 45 000 of them were native German speakers. Around a half of these were clerks and industrialists. Both scenes of the Prague German Theater had all together a capacity of 2100 spectators. This disproportion together with inadequate state funding led to the fact that the price of a regular ticket to the prague German Theater was four times higher than to other state and city theaters. Withal especially German theaters were exceptionally financially dependent on their spectators. Despite relatively high tickets costs the management of the theater usually regularly ended up with a deficit budget. The status of the Prague German Theater (apart from its operation) was incomparable with the status of the National Theater. National Theater was considered the most important stage in the republic, and was abundantly visited by nonPrague audiences as well. German citizens were converged especially near the Czech-German border where they had their own theaters, and where they were much closer to big German or Austrian towns than to Prague. In 1932 Dr. Paul Eger became the managing director of the prague German Theater. He had previously worked in prague between the years (1908 - 1911) when in charge of the theater was Angelo Neumann, and after his death...

First chapter focuses on setting the aim of this thesis and then the historical context of contract of work, its development from the antiquity to concurrence. Contemporary regulation of contract for work is being compared to the contract of purchase and I describe the essentials of contract for work, in particular contracting parties, their rights and duties and the subject of work. In the fourth chapter I focus on the finalization and disposition of the work, according to the Civil Code the work is finished only if it is proven that it can be used for its purpose. Next I analyze the price of the work and options that can be agreed by the contract parties in terms of the price and the payments. Regarding the price I also describe retentive price, penalties and the institute of price cut in the next...

The molecular mechanism of CSL protein participation in oxidative stress response in Schizosaccharomyces pombe
Daněk, Petr ; Převorovský, Martin (advisor) ; Sipiczki, Matthias (referee)
Redox homeostasis maintenance is important for proper organism and cell function, for while relatively low amount of reactive oxygen (and nitrogen) species contributes to the fine tuning of signal transduction, excessive concentration of ROS (oxidative stress) has demonstrably harmful effects and is tightly connected to many pathological states. Cells therefore evolved broad palette of antioxidant mechanisms that express striking level of conservation among different species. Large, intricate stress response signaling networks have been already described; nonetheless, novel molecules employed in stress-related signaling are still being discovered. Several studies recently suggested transcription factors CSL, proteins essential for regulation of metazoan development as effectors of Notch signaling, are also involved in response to oxidative stress. The fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, well established model of response to various stresses, comprises two paralogs of CSL proteins - Cbf11 and Cbf12. We have found cells depleted of cbf11 are highly resistant to hydrogen peroxide. This resistance appears to be caused by upregulation of important stress responsive genes including ctt1, gst2, pyp2, and atf1. Cbf11 is therefore negative regulator of these genes, which suppresses their expression...
