Analysis of labour migration determinants of Czech citizens

This diploma work deals with free movement of workers within European Union. The first theoretic chapter define labour migration and its main segmentation. The second chapter discribes four significant theoretical approaches to labour migration depending on wages differentials, human capital supply, family and created migration nets. Every approach explains the causes and effects of labour migration by different way. The third chapter is devoted to the migration policy of EU. Within fourth chapter migration policy of the selected countries (Germany, Austria, Ireland, Great Britain) is studied. The core of the work draws on a questinnaire-based survey of the migration attitudes of high-skilled workers and students. In this fiftht chapter, which is the key one, The influence of migration determinants on labour migration of the Czech citizens towards EU members states is analyzed. In conclusions the knowledge acquired in writing diploma work is interpreted.

The great game. Iran in the international relations 1798-1907

The a1m of this paper is a thorough historical study of the 19th century superpower struggle between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Russian empíre for Iran (Persia), Afghanistan, Inner Asia and Tibet, popularly known as the Great Game. The study is based on the chronologically arranged description of the Great Game's key events, nevertheless, these are examined also 1n a broader frame of the 19th century's international political and diplomatic developments as well as in the context of the interna! changes within Persia and her neighbours in the period studied. The main centre of its attention will be Persia, the most important and most interesting subject oť the Anglo-Russian rivalry in Asia. As far as other regions are concerned, we will particularly examine the case of Britain's engagement in Afghanistan and Russia's conquest of Centra! Asia, both with their impacts on the general Great Game's political issues. Resume - Patent protection of pharmaceuticals and its current problems The pharmaceutical industry nowadays plays a major role in the world's economy, having an estimated total volume of USD 740 billion and being one of the recognized key innovation sectors. The system of patent law is of major significance to the industry in that the monopoly it confers, for a limited period of time, on using innovations provides a major incentive for innovative research activities that the industry is involved in. Although the availability of patent protection for chemical and pharmaceutical products has, from a historical perspective, only been reaffirmed in the near past, it has nowadays been accepted as a global standard mainly through the provisions of the WTO's TRIPS agreement. Despite the existence of various international treaties harmonizing patent laws, patents have to date in their effects remained strictly limited to individual jurisdictions. Antonín Macek: the poet, publicist and writer

The present study Antonín Macek: the poet, the publicist and the prosaist is concerned with the works of Antonín Macek, one of the forgotten Czech authors of the first two decades of twentieth century. The literary science has not taken the sufficient account of his artistic legacy so far. Just the marxistic theorists in the second half of twentieth century has perused his writings and viewed Macek's merely as a revolutionary socialistic writer with respect to his leftist politics (displayed especially in his journal articles). Our main purpose is to prove that this view is quite simplified and that Macek's work at full is much richer. For this purpose we tried to restore all the original editions of Macek's writings (especially his poems and tales) to reach new and current interpretation. We attempted to specify his apparently solitary place in the history of Czech literature by marking out his relations to more remarkable writers of Macek's epoch (such as S. K. Neumann, F. X. Šalda, J. S. Machar, M. Marten, O. Theer etc.) and incorporate his works in the field of opposed contemporary styles (such as symbolism, social poetry, nature lyrics, proletary poetry etc.). Monistic structure of joint-stock company This thesis is concerned with monistic structure of joint-stock company in the Czech Republic. It seeks to characterize the legislation relating to this legal institute, which is quite new in the Czech legal system. To be able to evaluate this legislation, the thesis provides the reader with a broader range of information concerning this topic. Therefore, on the basis of these pieces of information, the thesis analyzes the Czech legislation in force that regulates monistic structure of companies. The aim of the text is to provide different views on this issue, various interpretations and proposals on the future development of this legislation. First the thesis gives general information on corporate governance systems, i. e. a monistic structure and a dualistic one, which are subsequently compared. Remaining part of the thesis deals with the structure chosen as a topic for this text. Second part is concerned with regulations of monistic structure in foreign countries and their legal systems. Monetary Policy of FED during the Great Depression

Diplomová práce vystihuje vývoj hospodářství v USA v souvislosti s vývojem světovým a jeho vliv na jednu z nejtěžších krizí v kapitalistických dějinách, a to z pohledu ekonomické teorie rakouské školy. Především popsuje vznik Federálního reservního systému a zhodnocuje jeho politiku, včetně jejího vlivu na hospodářský cyklus. Jakým způsobem se poté cyklický vývoj americké ekonomiky promítl do finančního sektoru v USA ve 20. a 30. letech 20. století. Dále popisuje vývoj finančních trhů, investorské prostředí a vliv monetární politiky na chod celého hospodářství. Vystihuje vývoj Velké deprese, její příčiny, průběh a důsledky, které se projevily ve finančním sektoru a bankovnictví a jakou měrou se na intenzitě Velké deprese podílel Federální reservní systém. Objasňuje vývoj hospodářské politiky prezidentů Hoovera a Franklina Delano Roosevelta, s jejím vlivem na ekonomický, resp. finanční systém, a pokouší se analyzovat tehdejší bankovní soustavu. Stěžejním bodem této práce jsou "Bankovní prázdniny" jako monetární opatření, v rámci souboru hospodářsko-politických opatření známé pod názvem "New Deal", realizované z rozhodnutí prezidenta Roosevelta. Stalo se toto monetární opatření úspěšným a může být považováno za východisko z krize? Práce dále vystihuje příčiny tohoto monetárního opatření, čím bylo vyvoláno, jakou mělo strukturu, jak se projevovalo v oblasti finančních trhů a zda bylo ekonomicky efektivní či zda způsobilo hospodářské problémy. Nakonec poukazuje na důsledky ?Bankovních prázdnin?, které se staly přínosným ponaučením pro budoucnost v oblasti finančních trhů, ale také poukázaly na hrozby, které s sebou mohou intervenční opatření nést, a zda je možné obávat se podobné události v budoucnu? Závěrem nastiňuje diplomová práce obavu týkající se ekonomické svobody lidí, jejich rozhodování a možnou paralelu se současností.

První New Deal

V roce 1933 se stává americkým prezidentem demokratický kandidát Franklin Delano Roosevelt, který přichází s hospodářsko-politickým programem New Deal. Ten měl pro Američany znamenat naději na zlepšení situace v době Velké hospodářské krize. Práce se zabývá první etapou New Dealu od nástupu Roosevelta do funkce prezidenta až do roku 1935, kdy Nejvyšší soud zrušil jeden z pilířů prvního New Dealu. Toto období se vyznačuje ohromným zvýšením státních zásahů do ekonomiky, které Amerika v takové míře doposud nepoznala. Součástí prvního New Dealu byly mamutí projekty veřejných prací, jejichž cílem bylo snížení nezaměstnanosti. V oblasti zemědělství byl vydán zákon známý pod zkratkou AAA (Agriculture Adjustment Act), jehož cílem bylo snížit nabídku zemědělské produkce a zvýšit tím ceny na trhu. Stabilizaci průmyslového podnikání měl přinést tzv. zákon o ozdravení národního průmyslu (NIRA), který vytvářel kodexy čestné konkurence. Cílem práce je analyzovat hospodářskou politiku USA v letech 1933 - 1935 a popsat její dopady na ekonomiku USA.

Concept of Motivation Program as an Effective Management Tools in the Gala, Inc.

I deal with analysis of the original motivational program and introduce new motivational program in scope of needs of big company in my diploma work. Concrete aplication is solved in coooperation with Gala inc.In theoretic part I describe process of motivation and theory of motivation which I choose. I target the characteristic of select company, I describe history and line of products in my practical part. After I done SWOT analysis, I describe development of number of staff very short, organizational structure etc. After I analyzed present situation of motivational program in company from in-house document and from anonymous interrogatory. On the basis of interpretation I proposed new motivational program and measure which improve motivation of staff.
