Cemented carbides and theirs effective use

This diploma thesis is aimed on cutting tools made of cemented carbides. It characterizes marking, production and properties of non-coating and coating cemented carbides and describes the latest trends in coating. Target of this diploma thesis is comparison of assortment of two important world’s producers and one Czech producer in term of used productive technologies, products microstructure, coatings types, coatings methods and possibilities of their usage. Cutting data were evaluated and compared from obtained technical knowledge, which were recommended by chosen producers for effective turning application of their cutting tools. Recommended cutting speeds were found out for specific type of cutting material according to ISO, width depth of cut and for specific values of feeds per revolution.

Technical analysis of the precious metals market

The main goal of this thesis is to create several trade systems in order to examine their rate of successfulness. The basic knowledge of the technical analysis serves as the theoretical basis. One of their instruments namely technical indicators are used. Selected technical indicators are applied on a financial investment instrument, that is represented by the share of a mining company. The time horizon the trading systems are based on in their respective analyses, is four years. In the initial part there are individual components determined from the theoretical point of view, followed by application and evaluation of their outputs related to individual strategies. Finally, there is a trading system to be created in an appropriate combination, which is subjected to the analysis followed by a potential optimization and subsequent assessment of its possible application in real trading.

Actor and Consciousness

In my thesis, Actor and Consciousness, I tried to capture consciousness of actor during performance. Additionally, I sought a subsequent reflection of the performance as such.
My thesis has three parts.
The first part is dedicated to describing the reasons behind my choice of the subject, the course of the thesis, as well as preparations for the performance that was the subject of my research. The second part presents my research ? text of Experiment, a play staged by Hana Burešová in the Divadlo v Dlouhé theatre. My role was the one of Azor. I tried to express the course of my feelings during the performance in one of the replicas.
The final part is a reflection and a commentary on the previous parts as well as reflection on the options of consciousness in theatre production.

Global Dimension of Rawls' Theory of Justice

This thesis is concerned with mapping one of the most topical discussions in the field of modern political philosophy, namely the contention about the existence, nature and extent of justice in the era of a highly globalised world. However, the clash about the existence of global justice, hitherto referred to as the clash between cosmopolitans and internationalists, is not viewed in its entirety. More specifically, this thesis aspires to make an introduction into the debate against the background of one of the most influential philosophical works of the 20th century which has significantly contributed to the delimitation of the term "justice"- Theory of Justice by John Rawls. This book incited joyful reaction from a number of cosmopolitan theorists, including most notably Charles Beitz and Thomas Pogge, who perceived it as a clear attempt at extending traditionally liberal ideals and precepts beyond the scope of nation states. The difference principle in particular caught their attention as it represented a suitable way of facilitating the ideal of social justice at global level. Nonetheless, Rawls himself rejected cosmopolitan claims. First sacred speech of Aellios Aristeides: introduction, translation and commentary

Cílem této diplomové práce je představit českému čtenáři zvláštní a poměrně neznámý spis slavného pozdně antického řečníka Ailia Aristeida - Hieroi Logoi. Toto dílo nabízí netradiční pohled na antické náboženství, zprostředkovaný jeho vzdělaným a oddaným stoupencem. Svým obsahem a stylem je to jakási osobní zpověď antického věřícího člověka, jejíž zajímavost spočívá především v tom, že žádné podobné dílo z řeckého pohanského světa dochováno nemáme. Autor nám zanechal svědectví nejen o svém vlastním prožívání vztahu k bohům, ale též podrobně pojednal o praktikách jednoho z nejpopulárnějších pozdně antických náboženských kultů - kultu boha Asklépia. Právě velmi osobní styl výpovědi činí toto dílo pozoruhodným a mnozí historikové řeckého náboženství ho ve svých knihách alespoň stručně zmiňují. Osobní styl výpovědi a líčení nejrůznějších životních starostí, pocitů, událostí, setkání apod. činí z Hieroi Logoi téměř moderní autobiografii, rozhodně však historicky první osobní snář v antické (a evropské) literatuře. Je zde rovněž mnoho materiálu, který může sloužit psychologům k rozboru osobnosti autora, a i z tohoto hlediska je dílo unikátní. Tím, že ukazuje, jakými způsoby profánní i chrámoví lékaři reagovali na evidentní psychické poruchy autora, je dílo pozoruhodné též pro historiky psychologie. Hieroi Logoi...

Václav Voska's theatre, film and television acting in Czech artistic and social context in the second half of twentieth century

SUMMARY: This thesis focuses on theatre, film and television acting of one of the important representatives of Czech dramatic art in Czech artistic and social context in the second half of the twentieth century. The aim of this work is to depict means of expression used by Vaclav Voska in his roles. It provides summary of actor's theatrical work and in the part dedicated to his TV acting tries to comprehensively describe compering television series "We invite you to the theatre". The following part is dedicated to film acting, especially to his cooperation with the Film Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The work neither neglects his teaching at the Faculty of Performing Arts Theatre nor his political career. The essential part of this thesis is focuses on his role of Emile Magis in Félicien Marceau's game The Egg. The work purposely omits on Vaclav Voska's production of spoken word (radio, Poetic Cafe Viola, Lyra Pragensis) and it refers only to his major achievements only if they are relevant for analyzed topics. Analysis of correspondence to Josef Hlávka (Communication strategies, stylization of one Czech maecenas and self-stylization of the letter-writters)

Dnešní komunikační možnosti a prostředky se nám mohou zdát mnohem vyspělejší a vzdálené od písemné komunikace v 19. století, na jehož konci se telefon teprve velice pomalu dostává do soukromého užívání. Přesto principy zdvořilostních a komunikačních norem jsou univerzálně platné v jakékoliv společnosti či kultuře. Mění se jen normy a řečové modely. Člověk, který ví, jak komunikovat, ovládá různé postupy a prostředky, dokáže úspěšně dosáhnout svých cílů, ale i rozvíjet mezilidské vztahy. Úroveň, normy a modely komunikace také ukazují mnoho o mentalitě a každodenním životě určité lidské společnosti. Předkládám tuto práci s trojím očekáváním. Prvním záměrem je zdůraznit přínos interdisciplinárního přístupu ke korespondenci jako pramenu historikovy práce. Pokusím se vysvětlit, že různé formy písemné komunikace nelze zjednodušeně chápat jako historický text zahrnující v sobě "pravdivá fakta", která historik odkryje čtením a zahrne je do svého příběhu. Badatel by se neměl spokojit pouze s pozitivistickou textovou kritikou! Při interpretaci dopisů se nabízí použít psychologické metody k poznání záměru autora dopisu, jeho charakteru a vlastností, stereotypů jednání apod. Teaching methods and class organisation in German language teaching with reference to pupil's age

The Diploma Thesis deals with teacbing methods and classroom organisation in Gennan language teaching with reference to pupil's age. The first, theoretical-oriented part of the Thesis describes psychological and physical development of pupils~ classification and description of selected teaching methods and types of classroom organisation. Last but not least it contains the typology ofexercises for teaching purposes. The second, practice-oriented part maps teaching methods and types of classroom organisation commonly used in German language teaching with reference to pupil's age which is regarded as one of the fuctors influencing the choice of teaching methods and classroom organisation. Two classroom observation templates, a questionnaire and some samples of filled observations sheets along with teaching materials used by teachers during the 1essons are attached in appendices.

European Integration Policy of the North Rhine-Westphalia. Fight for Right of Participation from Maastricht to Lisbon

The master theses "European Integration Politicy" deals with the impact of European integration on the domestic balance of power between the German executive and legislativ power, while focusing on the North Rhine-Westphalia (and partly Bavaria) as one of the examples of the German countries ("Laender") key actors nowadays. While the initiative of the German Laender with the aim of obtaining their right of participation in decision-making on the european integration topic can be traced to the very beginning of the European integration process, in the course of the ratification of the Maastricht Treaty the German Laender succeeded in institutionalization of their participatory rights by changing the constitution and laws. Due to the changing dynamics both of the European integration and the German federalism, the consensus-finding became uneasy. The German Laender are being increasingly motivated to change their strategy while trying to achieve their goals. There are new ways to be found beyond the institutionalized way of procurement of the enhanced rights. The international partnership with the regions of the similar power and interests (e.g. RegLeg) became one of the key elements of the new strategy. Occupation of Norway by the Nazi Germany in 1940

Útok na Norsko byl první německou ofenzivní akcí, k níž došlo od přepadení Polska v září 1939. Jednalo se o realizaci jednoho z dlouhé řady plánů, vypracovaných do nejmenších detailů pečlivou německou vojenskou mašinérií. Atak, vůči němuž bylo samotné Norsko, ostatně jako mnoho jiných evropských států, naprosto bezmocné a jímž byla Velká Británie přelstěna a překvapena na jednom ze svých možných citlivých míst. Byl předzvěstí neutuchající touhy Třetí říše po nových výbojích, podřízení si dalších území a rozsévání nacistické ideologie. Cílem mé rigorózní práce je rozebrat příčiny a průběh vylodění německých jednotek na norském pobřeží v dubnu roku 1940 a následnou okupaci tohoto státu. Hlavním úkolem je analyzovat okolnosti, kvůli kterým se Norsko stalo atraktivním pro německou i britskou stranu. Proč se oba protivníci snažili ovládnout tuto nepříliš bohatou zemi? Proč byla pro ně tak výhodná? A jaké strategické úvahy hrály hlavní roli v německých útočných plánech? To jsou základní otázky, jež budou řešeny v několika prvních kapitolách. Důležitou náplní mé práce bude také zmapovat politické dění v samotném Norsku, neboť události z jara 1940 jsou většinou chápány v celoevropském kontextu a jejich lokální význam se příliš nezdůrazňuje.
