Stereotyping in Perception of Domestic Violence Victims

This bachelor thesis titled "Stereotypes in perception of victims of domestic violence" refers to the issue of domestic violence. It deals with how university students, who live in České Budějovice, perceive a victim of domestic violence. Therefore, the thesis considers the opinions, attitudes and views of these students. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the terms that relate to the topic are defined. For example: the terms of domestic violence, the attributes, the causes and consequences of domestic violence. Furthermore, the victim and the aggressor are characterized. At the end of the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, there is non-professional as well as professional support of the victim clarified. The aim of the thesis was to find out how students perceive the victim of domestic violence. On the basis of this objective, two hypotheses were formulated: H1: "The university students are convinced that the victims of domestic violence initiate the aggressor to commit domestic violence". H2: "The university students perceive the victims of domestic violence as stupid and ignorant". The practical part of the thesis deals with a research file, which was made up by students of a university in České Budějovice. The total number of respondents, who were engaged in the research, is 457. To be more precise, there were 82 men and 375 women. Students involved in the research are in the master's and bachelor's programme of study. The age of respondents is between 19-25 years. Students in both full-time and also extra-mural study were involved in the research. The respondents were approached by me, my friends and acquaintances, who also study at university. Thanks to them, the questionnaires could reach a larger number of universities, and therefore a relatively high number of students in České Budějovice. For example, the students were from these universities: VŠE, VŠTE, Charles University, and others. As for the University of South Bohemia, I tried to provide the questionnaire for all faculties. In my point of view, it appeared to be successful. In the survey, which was carried out by using the semantic differential, the respondents selected their opinion and the view of a victim of domestic violence. On one side of the semantic differential, there was a positive quality or perspective given, on the other side it was negative. Those respondents, who chose neither the positive nor the negative side, were impartial and selected the average values. Therefore, their point of view and attitude were neutral. I was collecting the data in a period of 7 weeks. After gathering the questionnaires, I continued with processing the data into graphs, and verifying the hypotheses. The statistical evaluation was not necessary, since the results were striking. The respondents hold this view of the victim: they find the victim to be a sad, tolerant, scared, rather a reclusive person, who does not feel comfortable about the domestic violence they go through. Their perception of other qualities and the attitude to the victims is neutral. Many respondents took a neutral approach. My interpretation of this is that university students are afraid of an independent decision, so they rather choose a neutral decision. The result is that the stated hypotheses are not verified.

Application of some psychological Principles for the Purpose of reaching Increase in Effectivenes of violin Practice

This thesis has the main purpose to enhance some psychological principles (possibly strategies) for making violin practice more effective.
The following mental elements of violin performance training are involved in all chapters: focusing and turning one´s attention, intentionality, discipline.
The main chapters are named: Divergent thinking, Planning, Memory, Focus of attention in the context of coordination.
Practical examples as well as illustrations are also involved ? right in the text.
Origin of some quotations is comprehensible from the context. The others reference the source below mentioned right on the equal pages.
Author adresses the involved ideas to students, alternatively professional violinists as well as to violin pedagogues.

Annunciation of the Gospel salvation in our recent/present prison environment

The Diploma Thesis deals with the description of the facts and activities related to the proclamation of the Gospel in the prison environment. It refers to the historical development of penitentiary from the prison early days to the present time. It describes the ways to provide spiritual service in recent prison environment, the activities of the associations of Prison Religious Care (PRC) and Prison Religious Service (PRS). It provides the overview of mutual relationships among these orga-nisations and the Prison (Penitentiary) Service of the Czech Republic, and at the same time it gives legal standards regulating the provision of spiritual services on the territory of the Czech Republic. It provides a complete view of activities of a prison chaplain and introduces his competences to the reader. The research section is focused on findings what kinds of the most serious current problems accompanies the process of evangelization in current Czech prison environment and which solutions of existing problems are suggested by involved experts.

Adherence to remedial physical education among women of middle and older age.

Title: Adherence to remedial physical education among women of middle and older age Aim: To deliver a complex review of the exercise adherence issue. To confirm relationship among selected factors and exercise adherence using questionnaire rnethod in a group of regularly active women and to identify reasons of their long-term participation in a group remedial physical education. Method: 165 women, members of the Kardia dub, who regularly participated on remedial physical education classes, were involved in the study, question-form data were suitable in 130 cases. To provide subjective evaluation of physical activity, Czech version of the Intemational Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ, short version) was distributed; to identify the level of extroversion, the Eysenck Personality lnventory (EPI-B) was applied, and to discover motivation factors influencing the physical activity adherence, the author of the Graduation Theses compiled a non-standardized questionnaire. Attendance data from January to December 2007 (except Joly and August) were the fundamental part of the adherence level objective evaluation. Sports marketing is divided into three sectors: marketing of a sport, marketing products and services through sports and promotion of a sport to the public. This thesis is mostly referring to marketing through sport, and its analysis of a very unique and innovative organization. Red Bull GmbH is a leader within the dynamic area of energy drinks, a fast-growing area of the beverage sector. The objectives of this thesis are to show how Red Bull develops its marketing strategy and identify the principles and processes involved, to describe the tools and techniques used in their marketing and show how they have been applied. The main goal of this thesis is to explain how effective is the association with extreme sports for Red Bull.

The motivation for the social work profession

The thesis deals with the motivation that leads social workers to the choice of this profession. It refers mainly to the fact that the social work profession does not always act on the basis of pure motives, but sometimes its motives to help people can be not entirely correct. Despite this fact it cannot be said that such employee is unfit for social work. The crucial thing is to become aware of the source of the desire to help others and to learn to work with it. The theoretical part of the thesis should lead the readers who are involved in helping professions to think about what their motivation to be a social worker is and to use their knowledge for the benefit of their work and their clients. At the end of the theoretical part I deal with the burnout syndrome which may be caused by unresolved shady motives for a worker and also the question of the proper motivation and taking care of it. The practical part contains a study carried out by means of questionnaire, which was designed for social workers / social service workers in organizations if the Moravian-Silesian Region. It deals with the study of motivation (the motivation in choosing their profession, how the length of practice affects the motivation, the care of worker motivation in organizations, positive and negative motivation factors).

Methods of DNA extraction from the fresh papaya fruit and from the candied

Aim the work is to provide a working procedure for extraction of amplifiable DNA form papaya fruits (Carica papaya), which are a poor source of DNA. Methods are optimised for DNA extraction from papaya fruits and stones and from candied papaya- these both were predicted as suitable commodities for an eventually screening of non-approved GM papaya in the market of Czech Republic. The methodology was prepared on basis of demand of reference laboratories of public service, which are involved in GMO analyses and also as a flow-work of Methodics for Detection of GM papaya 55-1 and 63-1 (Hodek, Ovesná, Pavlátová 2008) and scientific publication Detection of transgenic papaya lines: extraction protocol optimisation and verification of DNA quality by PCR assay (Ovesná, Hodek 2009).

Golf tourism in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis "Golf tourism in the Czech Republic" aims to find out if the Czech Republic has the potential to become a mature golf destination and whether the title of "Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year 2007" has had an influence on the development of Czech golf tourism and on the increase of number of tourists coming to play golf. The first part mentions what status takes golf tourism within the tourism industry of the Czech Republic and why it is important to deal with this type of tourism. Afterwards the thesis gives a brief overview of the historical development of golf in the Czech Republic since its beginning until now and also outlines the basic profile of a golf tourist. The next section is concerned with the conditions of the development of golf tourism in the country. Firstly, it focuses on the selective conditions, where it refers to the political situation in the country, the environment and especially to the promotion of golf and golf tourism in general. Within the frame of localizing conditions this work deals with natural and social conditions and the attractiveness. Realizing conditions are dedicated to golf courses, accommodation and catering facilities, travel agencies and travel agents involved in golf tourism, furthermore to transport and tourist information centers. Moreover, there have been defined various golf packages, which can be arranged for golf tourists in the Czech Republic. The paper also shows the results of the research on incoming golf tourism in the years of 2007 and 2008 by Czech Tourism. These surveys identified the profile of a golf tourist and the approximate number of foreign tourists who come to play golf in the Czech Republic. In conclusion, the paper deals with golf tourism perspectives, the advantages and opportunities for Czech golf tourism and the problems that could impede its development.

The analysis of the chosen bank in a context of the Czech bank sector

The thesis is considering financial analysis of Česká spořitelna a.s. The main aim is to show importance of particular financial indicators as an outcome of financial analysis of the bank as an institution administering money of third persons. The thesis is evolved not only by time analysis, but is also focused on inter-bank competition, where it has been taken to comparison with reference group "The big banks". The analysis involves the structure of assets and liabilities, structure of profit, analysis of profitability, liquidity and capital adequacy. The particular aim of the work is to consider situation of the bank sector in the Czech Republic in relation to economical climate of recent years.
