Kuhnová, Barbora ; Jenčková, Eva (referee) ; Kittnarová, Olga (advisor)
My thesis is focused on the entire history of the Czech Music Society. This work is divided into two main parts. In the first section I deal with the history of the Czech Music Society from its very beginning to nowadays and in the sccond part I concentrated on the organization structure of every single part. The Czech Music Society is a voluntary independent association of people who are interested in music. The organization concentrates primarily on music education, musicology, interpretation, publishing and so on. It organizes a lot of activities in connection with music, for example courses both for professionals and amateurs, lectures, workshops, concerts, music summer camps and excursions. Its own history dates back to 1972 when the preparatory commission was established. The organization officially started its activity in 1975. The range of activities was truly wide. After the Velvet revolution in 1989 the Czech Music Society had to tackle serious financial problems. The members have tried to solve these problems, unfortunately without any success. The Society will cease to exist by the end of the year 2006.

Pastucha, Miroslav ; Höschl, Cyril (advisor)
Choosing a theme for a thesis on 3.lékařské UK faculty facilitated by that individual clinics, institutes and departments already offer students the topics more or less established research programs. In addition, of course, there is still a possibility for the student himself devised a problem that will be paid. I was determined to choose topic that will be in the field of psychiatry, because this subject I find interesting and serious I am thinking that my focus after school might be based in this direction. Teaching psychiatry, which I attended in Prague Psychiatric Center, left me very positive impression of this device, both in terms of clinics and research work, and mainly from physicians access to patients as well as science. I was therefore glad that I had the opportunity to working on his thesis on the grounds of the institution. The association of two serious illnesses, schizophrenia and diabetes mellitus, was for me, up until I started to this thesis, virtually unknown. During internship in a psychiatric clinic, but I was surprised observed that many patients with schizophrenia are obese and they themselves admitted that the therapy of certain drugs feel increased appetite. Bobula, Filip ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Cabada, Ladislav (referee)
The Master thesis "The Comparison of the Czech and Slovak governments between 1992 and 2002" deals with the problem of the establishment of governments, the main coalition and oposition parties and the main situations of political life of Czech and Slovak governments in this period. The thesis is divided into three chapters. Chapter one is an introduction to the topic and focuses on the process of constitution development in both countries, which was taking place in the period of the Federation. The second chapter covers the period from 1992 to 1998 and the third chapter 1998 to 2002. The following section constitutes the comparison of these specific periods. The main comparison parameters are: the stability of the party systems, the consolidation of the society, and the foreign policy development. The Czech Republic appears to be better in this excercise. It's party system is far more stabilized and it's society is much more homogenic. As argued in the thesis, this result is mainly due to the lack of any anti-democratic and authoritative element on the political scene, as it was in the period of Meciar's government in Slovakia. During this period of nearly six years, Slovakia had fallen behind in all areas of society development, in comparison to other countries, namely the Czech Republic. Fortunately due...

The Integrated Communication Model Paradigm
Sládeček, Peter ; Mucha, Ivan (advisor) ; Trampota, Tomáš (referee)
Summarizing the thesis in a brief manner demands reduction of the thoughts and concepts presented in it. Therefore, the main aim of this summary is to relate the terminology we had to establish in our theoretical research of communication from a system-theory perspective. We have built our approach in three main directions: 1. Dynamical system theory with its regards to autopoiesis, enthropy and bifurcations. 2. Second-order cybernetics, where we have adopted the concept of mutual influence between object and subject in research - meta-cybernetics. 3. Adressing social theories presented by Niklas Luhmann, Ulrich Beck, Anthony Giddens, Zygmunt Bauman and few others. The central question of our project is whether the application of the system approach to communication studies could lead to a paradigm. During the period of our MA degree programme, we encountered many attempts to connect communication models into one working mechanism. However, even with its terminology adjusted to the goal, media and communication science preserved a notion of structuralism or succeeded to incorporate system theory in just one field of interest (depending on authors' qualifications), but denying wider associations. One school of communication research that has reached a considerable level of integration is that of Cultural...
