Diploma thesis analyses connection of sponsorship and sales support in transnational corporations. It defines how these corporations direct their sponsorship strategies, if globally or locally. In the first chapter, it describes connection of sponsorship and commercial communications from the law, tax and mostly marketing point of view. In the second chapter, it describes possible forms of sales support in sponsorship projects. The third chapter analyses the impact of the globalization on sponsorship and sales support and describes integrated marketing communication. Telefónica S.A. and McDonald's Corporation are described as practical examples of the connection of sponsorship and sales support in transnational corporations.

Footbridge across the Labe
Krč, Rostislav ; Romportl, Tomáš (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on design of prestressed concrete footbridge which passes pedestrian and bicycle path over the Elbe river near city of Celakovice in the Czech Republic. Three different bridge options were analyzed and for further development a cable-stayed footbridge was chosen. Its bridge deck is formed of a box girder supported by cables in its vertical axis and all cable stays are anchored into two concrete A-shaped pylons. This structure was analyzed in SCIA Engineer and assessment of serviceability limit states and ultimate limit states according to recent European standards (Eurocodes) was made. Both the global structural behavior and the local structural integrity of box cross-section were assessed as well as construction stages and cross-sections of pylons and cable stays. Assessments were performed in IDEA StatiCa combined with hand calculations. Eventually a dynamic response of structure was analyzed. Natural modes and frequencies were found and forced oscillation response was evaluated. The thesis includes technical drawings, construction process and visualization.

4 Title: Multivariate GARCH Author: Mgr. Milan Mad'ar Department: Katedra pravděpodobnosti a matematické statistiky Abstract: This thesis will examine the regional and global linkages as evi- dence of integration of stock markets in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Prague and the U.S. Therefore we will utilize the multivariate GARCH approach that investigates the dynamics of volatility transmission of related foreign exchange rates. Also, we will define three basic model classes. For each of the model classes a theoret- ical review, basic properties and estimation procedure with proofs are provided. We illustrate each approach by applying the models to daily market data. The two main aims of the thesis are to discuss and report the existence of regional and global stock markets linkages and provide a comparison of such multivariate GARCH models on the data sample. The main contribution of the thesis is that it treats the data in the context of real development in financial markets and takes into account the real situation during and after the financial crisis of 2008. We find out that the estimated time-varying conditional correlations indicate limited integration among the markets, which implies that investors can benefit from the risk reduction by investing in the different stock markets, especially during the crisis....

Credit Default Swaps: analýza, oceňování, vývoj trhu
Sobotková, Lucie ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor) ; Witzany, Jiří (referee)
The thesis covers three main areas regarding credit derivatives. The first part brings comprehensive description of currently known and broadly used credit derivatives. It provides a full explanation of its mechanism, advantages, settlement and practical examples of investment. The second part attempts to clarify the valuation and pricing of the basic credit derivative - credit default swap. The aim of this part is to explain the basic principles of valuing credit default swaps and to show practical examples by using markets systems (Bloomberg examples presented). It is shown how to read market data, how to analyze credit spreads and opportunities of arbitrage. The last part of my thesis gives a comprehensive commentary on global credit derivatives market historical and current development, especially on emerging markets, analysis of sovereign defaults and its impact on credit market. To conclude, the part with latest credit market development and outlook is attached.

Advantages and disadvantages of common currency euro in the current crisis ( on the example of Slovak Republic)
Pohorelcová, Mária ; Koderová, Jitka (advisor) ; Gevorgyan, Kristine (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of the introduction of the euro on the Slovak economy during the global economic crisis. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter presents short historical development of the euro and the process of integration within the European area, leading to the creation of economic and monetary union. The second chapter presents a technically and administratively demanding process of preparing for the new currency. The progress in the implementation of fiscal and nominal convergence criteria conditioning the membership in the euro area is also evaluated. The third chapter provides an analysis of selected advantages and disadvantages of euro. Compares the forecasts of the National Bank of Slovakia with the actual development of the Slovak economy in the context of the ongoing crisis.

Porovnanie prípravkov k číreniu bielych vín
Korbaš, Jaroslav
The topic of this thesis is the comparison of fining agents for white wines, focusing on protein stability. The theoretical part of the work describes colloids in wine and gives a classification of dispersed systems. Next the most common hazes in wine and methods of how to prevent their occurrence through the use of various agents are explained. In the practical part, commercially available agents, such as bentonite, a combination of isinglass and kieselsol, tannin and gelatine were used at different doses in an unfined white wine and their efficiency was observed. The wine was subsequently bottled and stored for a period of four months. The tested samples were stored at two different temperatures: 11°C and 21°C. At the end of the period all the samples underwent sensory evaluation and laboratory analysis. The results were statistically processed and evaluated with recommendations for practice.

In the laser cooled trapped ions field current research is oriented to yield isolated ions in their basic state of the motion. The detection of the Doppler cooled iont excitation to its quadrupole transition of the electronic structure gives the opportuniny to stabilize highly coherent lasers of the optical frequency of the hundreds of THz. This way a new standart of the time or optical frequencies called „Optical atomic clock“ can be defined. Institute of the Scientific Instruments in Brno in the cooperation with the Department of the Optics of the Palacky University in Olomouc implemented a unique research infrastructure for laser cooling of 40Ca+ ions and subsequent experiments of the quantum mechanics and spectroscopy in a joint laboratory in Brno. Currently 40Ca+ ions are routinely generated and captured. The Doppler cooling of those ions is performed using dipole transition at a wavelength of the 397 nm. Also detection and spectroscopy of the electronic structure of the ion and the presence of his dark resonances is implemented.\n
