Resolving stellar surfaces with binary gravitational microlensing

Binary gravitational microlensing has demonstrated excellent prospects for studying the surface brightness distribution of stars. In this work we study the extended-source eects that aect the amplication of the source ux. We identify regions in the geometry that are sensitive to the extended source and nd previously unknown areas between facing cusps of multi-part caustics. We nd out that the probability of detecting the extended-source eect can be as much as two times higher than the probability of observing pure caustic crossing. We explore the chromaticity of binary microlensing and compare two classes of models of limb darkening. We describe spectral changes during binary microlensing and compare their amplitude to the point-lens case. Finally, we investigate the linear fold approximation and nd signicant residuals even in cases favorable for the method.

Confidence, economy and the global economic crisis

We examine the role of confidence in economic fluctuations. Empirically we examine Granger causality from consumer confidence indicator to growth of economic output in the Czech Republic and the United States. In case of the U.S., we confirmed the causality robustly. In case of the Czech Republic, we found the causality, but not a robust one. Generally, the causality is taken as evidence for macroeconomic models with shocks to consumers's expectations. Recently, these models with unique-equilibrium gain on importance in economic theory. The second focus of this study is the confidence-related part of the financial and economic crisis of late 2000s which made confidence indicators hit record lows. Confidence has been cited as both a source of the crisis and the remedy to the crisis. We analyze such thoughts. One of the main ones is the incorporation of animal spirits into mainstream economomics.

Project and realisation of a ropes course in the selected region

Name of the bachelor essay: Ropes course - project and execution of the project . The goal of this bachelor essay is to create a complete step-by-step document of a rope center realization in the Recreational and sport center U Starého Rybníka in Zbraslavice by Zruč nad Sázavou. The reader will be briefly introduced to the history and development of the rope centers and the following environmental education. Further it offers the description and the extended current processes and means necessary to build a rope way, which we later on implicate into the practice in a real rope center with 7 rope obstacles. The methods used in the period of creation of this bachelor essay were firstly collection of the data from Czech as well as international literature and experiences of the professionals in fields that directly concern rope activities. Gathered data were used for the proposal of a rope center project, which was approved and later on indeed realized. The result of our work is the collection of experiences and knowledge, which offers to the reader a complete view of the rope center building process from the very first project until the first step on the rope obstacle. Comparative analysis of textbook sets for teaching German as a foreign language from the point of view realia

This diploma thesis deals with a comparative analysis of selected textbook sets that represent the newest editions by four different publishers. The theoretical part explains the development of approaches to applied geography themes and their presentation together with the terminology that is associated with the field of presentation and applied geography teaching. The practical part describes selected textbooks and includes their analysis. As a result of this analysis a comparison of the textbooks according to the given criteria and recommendations for choosing a particular textbook set are given. V předchozím textu jsme potvrdili, že členské státy Organizace jsou hlouběji spojeny s ropou, než by si samy přály, což s sebou přináší jako pozitiva, tak negativa. Tak například Spojené arabské emiráty byla za druhé světové války jednou z nejchudších států regionu. Ještě v roce 1960 vykazovala země hrubý domácí produkt ve výši 17 mil. USD, v roce 2005 to už bylo ale více než 130 miliard USD, tedy 7.647krát více. Na druhou stranu je utlumuje ropný průmysl ve většině zemí OPEC ostatní sektory domácího hospodářství, což může mít pro stát fatální důsledky.

Daniel Gile's effort model and its application on texts with numerals and enumerations

Tato teoreticko-empirická práce se zaměřuje na model úsilí Daniela Gila a jeho aplikaci na simultánní tlumočení textů nasycených číselnými údaji a výčty. V teoretické části model podrobně popisujeme a analyzujeme a aplikujeme jej na simultánní tlumočení. Dále definujeme základní problémy a nedostatky spojené se simultánním tlumočením projevů z francouzštiny do češtiny u textů nasycených číselnými údaji a výčty z hlediska nároků na pracovní kapacitu v důsledku nasycenosti textu i specifik francouzských číslovek a jejich převodu do češtiny. Při tlumočení číselných údajů a výčtů se zvyšují nároky na pracovní kapacitu, zvláště na poslech a analýzu a na paměť, čímž může dojít ke snížení množství kapacity dostupné pro poslech a zpracování následujících částí projevu. Na základě postulátů Gilova modelu úsilí jsme stanovili pracovní hypotézu, podle které v důsledku vzniku deficitního řetězce dojde ke zhoršení kvality přetlumočení u nenáročných úseků, které následují bezprostředně po náročných segmentech obsahujících číselné údaje a výčty. Deficitní řetězec je důsledkem individuálního deficitu u některého z úsilí či celkového zahlcení pracovní kapacity. Dílčí hypotézou je, že výkon profesionálních tlumočníků bude celkově kvalitnější a zhoršení nebude se zvyšující se obtížností úseků předcházejících sledovaným místům...

The French musical theatre in nineties of the 20 century

Touto prací jsem chte podat co možná nejobsáhlejší zprávu o hudebne-dramatickém divadle ve Francii, jehož soucasný vrchol, dle mého úsudku zastinuje ostatní muzikálovou produkci v Evrope. I když jsem na konci této práce, stále mám pocit, že jsem v nekterých oblastech stále na zacátku. Tak bohatý je pramen francouzské zábavní hudby spojené s divadelním jevištem. V posledních letech byl podán dukaz, že Francie a muzikál není protimluv, jen je treba pochopit jeho zákonitosti. Rozhodl jsme se termín megamuzikál, pro mnoho dukazu podaných v této práci, aplikovat na francouzské produkce po roce 1998. Jakkoli to není termín puvodní a snad i puvodem posmešný, presne vystihuje svojí estetickou kvalitu. Zdá se, že proces vývoje od amerického muzikálu zlaté éry, pres pozdejší rozvoj britské školy muzikálu superlativu má svého pokracovatele ve francouzském muzikálu grand spectacle, který svojí kariéru zacal teprve nedávno. Fenomén dokázal prekrocit hranice puvodu a rozšírit se i do oblastí, které sice nemají vlastní muzikálovou tradici, ale muzikálu jako zpusobu divadelní zábavy rozumí. Jakkoli se megamuzikálu angloamerická kritika vysmívá, našel svoji tvár i diváka. V této práci jsem se snažil predstavit široký proud dalších hudebních útvaru, které pro Francouze znamenají denní chléb a pro naše kraje jsou absolutne...

Dopady Transatlantického obchodního a investiční partnerství na Evropu a Spojené státy americké

This master thesis is focused on the Transtlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and its possible impact on the EU and the US. The aim is to examine the economic and geopolitical implications that could come out of this deal. Closer look on this issue should bring a complex overview on the most discussed trade agreement in international relationship in the 21st century. Comparative approach will be used for detail analysis. Thesis deals with the comparison with current state of bilateral trade between EU and US. In more details TTIP negotiations are being described in this thesis as well its basic concept, advantages and disadvantages for both parties and impacts on Europe and US markets.
