Post-colonial adaptations of Shakespeare's plays

This thesis deals with the analyses of three adaptations of Shakespeare's plays in postcolonial countries like Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and Republic of South Africa. Three plays are examined in historical and cultural context of colonial and post-colonial theatre of the countries mentioned above. The first chapter of the thesis familiarizes the reader with problems of colonialism and its cultural effects. The aim of the thesis is to point out to the way, in which the authors of the adaptations treat the works of William Shakespeare, the leading playwright of mother imperium - Great Britain, and simultaneously emphasize unusual position of the adaptations in the framework of their cultural surrounding and in the framework of post-colonial drama.

Před více než rokem Barack Hussein Obama po svém triumfu ve volbách nastoupil na post prezidenta USA a s trochou nadsázky tak získal "nejhorší zaměstnání v zemi" Čekal na něj úkol vyvést americkou ekonomiku z hluboké globální krize, vyřešit dvě nepopulární války, znovu vybudovat renomé americké diplomacii, zvrátit jaderné ambice Íránu a neposlušnost KLDR, usměrnit izraelsko-palestinský konflikt, a to je jen začátek nekonečného seznamu. Nemálo práce mu přitom přidělal jeho předchůdce George W. Bush, jehož první volební období plné militarismu, unilateralismu a černobílého rozdělování mapy světa na "ty dobré a ty zlé", pošpinilo dobré jméno Spojených států, poškodilo spojenecké svazky a uvrhlo zemi do rekordního dluhu. Přestože sám Bush mladší se ze svých chyb po obhájení mandátu poučil, vyměnil některé neokonzervativní členy svého týmu za mladší a ke světu otevřenější spolupracovníky a vydal se smířlivější cestou, nepodařilo se mu jeho omyly napravit. Barack Obama si byl Bushova obratu dobře vědom a je důkazem jeho moudrosti a rozvahy, že se neuchýlil k bezhlavému propouštění zaměstnanců bývalé administrativy, ale byl schopen z ní vytáhnout nejsilnější články. Obama mistrně zkombinoval osobnosti bývalé administrativy, své věrné druhy i dřívější rivaly, a dal tak vzniknout různorodému, ale pevnému týmu bez vyhraněné politické orientace. V podstatě si v okruhu svých kolegů vytvořil vlastní systém brzd a protivah.

An assessment of prediction ability of prediction models based on accountancy data of companies Jitex a.s. and Moira CZ a.s.

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to assess the prediction ability of prediction models. The prediction ability is tested on 2 companies. One is considered to be failed and the other one non-failed and successful. Therefore Jitex a.s. and Moira CZ a.s. have been chosen. This bachelor thesis is also aiming to provide with sufficient theoretical basis connected with a prediction of corporate bankruptcy. Along with this it contains adequate facts, which are necessary for an application of prediction models. The end of this bachelor thesis leads to a clear assessment of all selected prediction models and it aims to identify a model, which is the most suitable for an application in the Czech business environment.

By using detailed insights into the above-mentioned issues, the submitted thesis can draw its attention mainly to the topics of chronology based on Radiocarbon dating, testimony of change of the grave equipment in the observed period of time, and properties of burial inventories. Jídlo je primární a základní životní potřeba člověka. Biologicky zdědil člověk po svých vývojových předcích eurifagii (všežravost) - schopnost konzumovat prakticky všechny druhy potravy. Stravovací typ všech lidských kultur se vyvíjel (u některých etnik ještě vyvíjí) v závislosti na způsobu opatřování potravy - od prvotního nediferencovaného loveckosběračského přes intenzivně lovecký až k zemědělsko-pasteveckému. Právě zemědělská revoluce znamenala největší proměnu v lidském stravování. "U všech zemědělských národů (s částečnou výjimkou severských kočovných pastevců) se stal hlavním zdrojem kalorií rostlinný škrob - v Evropě a Západní Asii hlavně pšenice a ječmen. Syndrom CAN (Child Abuse and Neglect) - prevention and its practice from the perspective of primary school teachers

This work deals with the problem of CAN, prevention and practice from the perspective of primary school teachers. The introductory part deals with the reason for choosing this work. It is also further developed its own problems CAN - neglect, as the lightest form of the initial abuse, and physical abuse, the incidence and forms, I looked at in detail, psychological abuse, and described the problem of sexual abuse and its forms, including systemic abuse and bullying. In the next section, I focused on the warning signs indicating the CAN syndrome, the physical, psychological and sexual abuse. There are special forms of CAN described as Münchhausenův syndrome of representation organized child abuse, ritual abuse and sex tourism. Here is a chapter on the consequences of CAN syndrome, first the short and long term consequences, the posttraumatic stress disorder with the overall post-treatment. It is also described the relationship and family violence with reference to the development of intergenerational violence. The topic of this bachelor thesis is Franchising as a form of entry to the market. The work itself is divided into 3 parts. The first one deals with the franchising theory (franchising types, its advantages, disadvantages, possibilities of financing, etc.). The second part describes franchising in the Czech republic including several franchise possibilities in our market. The thrid chapter concentrates on the legal aspects of this issue, legal environment and mainly franchising contract and the chapter is closed by the description of Pronuptia lawsuit which is one of the most important trials in this area.

Indian chronicles of Fernão Lopes de Castanheda and Gaspar Correia

This PhDr. work is a comparative historical work comparing two of five most important chronicles of the Portuguese India of the 16th century, History of the Discovery and Conquest of India by the Portuguese (História do Descobrimento e Conquista da Índia pelos Portugueses) by Ferno Lopes de Castanheda and Legends of India (Lendas da Índia) by Gaspar Cor- reia. The work is divided into three sections. The first section is an introduction to the topic selected. It outlines the causes of the huge Portuguese ultramarine expansion and what preceded it, as well as its progress. In this section there is a chronological overview of Portuguese expansion to Asia, which was initiated and implemented to a decisive extent by Governor Afonso de Albuquerque (1509-1515). Thanks to him, the so-called Estado da Índia founded by his precursor, Francisco de Almeida, got firm foundations and expanded territorially enormously. A brief characterization of Estado da Índia is in the second part of this section. The very conclusion of the first section is dedicated to the rich literature of ultramarine discoveries. Contractures and their prophylaxis

The main aim of this bacheloťs thesis is to describe the problematics of contractures forming with emphasis on the most common contractures on upper limbs. The processes to prevent the contractures are also described. The secondary objective of this work is to raise knowledge of my colleagues working and studiing in the fíeld of occupational therapy. In my work I wanted to describe the problematics of forming contractures, with placing emphasis on most common contractures on upper limbs and on processes preventing the contractures as well. For the correct evaluation of spasticity influence on contractures creation it is necessary to have its description of and also possibilities of its treatment. Main focus is given to botulotoxin therapy, its composition, indication and counter-indication of treatment, pharmaceuticals currently available on the market and its applications. Practical part with picture section describes possibilities of occupational therapy on three subjects on Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Prague who had suffered brain damage and are currently on botulotoxin treatment. Just firom this small sample the results seem to indicate, that one of the most important factors of treatment is patienťs motivation; knowledge of treatment and family interest. The goal of my bachelor thesis was to analyze causes and impacts of financil crisis of 21st century. The thesis was divided in two parts. The first one is discussing about the theory of the financial market, its functions, structure and regulation. In the second part I was trying to clear up the problem about causes of financial crisis. I my opinion the main cause of financial crisis is the mortgage crisis in american market. After that I was discribing the going of this crisis and in the end I was trying to discuss about impacts of crisis on american market, Evrope market and Czech market as well.
