The use of BIM in water management work
Chládová, Zuzana ; Remeš, Josef (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis addresses Building Information Management (BIM) and its application in water management. The basis of the work is broad research on BIM. Editing a selected section of watercourse
Tomšej, Lukáš ; Olišarová, Lucie (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the modification of the section of the Baťa Canal in the town of Strážnice, namely in the range of 8,300 km to 9,520 km. The alteration is divided into two implementation phases. In the first one, all the sediments will be extracted from the bottom of the canal, which will be subsequently dewatered and plowed into the farmland. The removal of the sediments from the canal bed will be made on the original bottom level stated by the handling and operating rules for the sailing route Otrokovice – Rohatec. In the second implementation phase, adequate bank and accompanying growth will be designed, which are an integral part of stabilization adjustments. Due to historical value of the water canal, a major change in the profile of the canal bed cannot be made. Keeping this in mind, biotechnical stabilization of slopes will be carried out. The aim of the regulation is primarily to increase the capacity of the Baťa Canal for the needs of cruise. Also the planting of new trees will restores vegetation accompaniment.
Revitalization of the Morava River vs. business plans
Halačka, Karel ; Mendel, Jan ; Papoušek, Ivo ; Vetešník, Lukáš
The course of the Morava River is an important supranational biocorridor with significant biological potential. This is attested also by results of recent ichthyological surveys. There is a plan of revitalization projects aimed at making migration barriers passable and also at repatriation of indigenous animal species. At the same time, there is a number of business plans focusing on the area, while their realization would severely restrain or even disallow the revitalization efforts. Therefore, a complex biological survey of the whole Morava River course should be performed first, and a detail project of naturalization of the floodplain, including the still existing fragments of original river channel, should be elaborated subsequently. Such project would then constitute a qualified basis for centrally assessed potential business plans.
