Building Cultural Centre
Roubalová, Dagmar ; ČUŘÍKOVÁ, Tamara (advisor) ; HRBEK, Daniel (referee)
Cultural center or cultural house as a building can be found in almost every Czech village. Their operation seems simple, but in practice it looks that like a very complicated question. After 1989 the network of cultural centers was canceled and currently there is no database that would tell the actual list of cultural buildings in the Czech Republic, who are of existing and functioning. Also, now there are rarely built, but very often rebuilt those buildings of cultural centers. These buildings have specific rules, regulations and standards, which are done by the law, its design should be also based on the needs of current and future users, both operators and visitors. Master's thesis summarizes the general and specific requirements that must be taken in building a cultural center and presents a case study on building a concrete cultural center in the suburb of Prague. The main impulse for writing this work is the belief that more attention should be given to this issue. The cultural center as a multifunctional space offering a wider range of programs available to all the population is the first and closest point of contact with the culture of everybody of us. It affects overall relationship to cultural values and is also a place where everyone will have these values to guarantee equal and free access.

An Implementation of Methods of Structural Analysis of Czech Complex Sentences
Dutkevič, Jiří ; Kuboň, Vladislav (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
Title: An Implementation of Methods of Structural Analysis of Czech Complex Sentences Author: Jiří Dutkevič Department: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Vladislav Kuboň, Ph.D., Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Abstract: This paper discusses automated analysis of complex sentences in Czech language. It summarizes the results of preceding research, uses therein described method for splitting complex sentences into segments using well defined set of separators and proposes three methods of automated assignment of levels to segments (which also describe relations between the segments) in sentences based on rules presented in the research. First method directly applies the rules presented in referenced research papers, the second method uses a genetic algorithm and the third makes use of a neural network. This paper includes an implementation of these methods and an analysis of the results using manually annotated data from the Prague Dependency Treebank.

Specialities of business environment, business and cultural specialities of Dalmatia and their influence on cooperation with the Czech Republic
Šućurová, Kristina ; Gullová, Soňa (advisor) ; Klosová, Anna (referee)
This thesis aims to illustrate the business environment of Dalmatia, Croatia and its specialities of economic, cultural and business kind. It furthermore investigates the specific style of business dealings in the region and summarises what entrepreneurs considering business partnership with companies from Dalmatia should expect, how to prepare themselves for business negotiations and which steps to take during them and after signing of the contract. The thesis uses methods of PESTEL and SWOT analyses due to which the specialities of the environment are highlighted and then compared with corresponding elements of Czech environment. From the undertaken analyses it can be stated that Dalmatia fights high unemployment made up mostly by its seasonal element. Up to a fifth of the country's GDP is generated by tourism which creates unfavourable dependence of the economy on a swiftly changeable and volatile branch of the economy. The region is also admittedly characterized by a high share of renewable resources on the production of electrical energy and further potential in this branch, above average density of connection to the internet network in comparison to the rest of the country, and the interest of Czech investors in tourism, banking sector, energetics and food industry.

Non-traditional roles of formins besides actin nucleation
Metlička, Jáchym ; Cvrčková, Fatima (advisor) ; Opatrný, Zdeněk (referee)
Formin homology 2 (FH2) domaincontaining proteins (formins) have, since their discovery in 1990, been observed in all analyzed species of eukaryotic kingdoms. Our knowledge of structure and function of the defining FH2 domain has greatly increased over the last couple of years. Its function in nucleation, polymerization and processive capping of actin filaments designates formin protein family an important cytoskeletonremodelling factor. But FH2 domain is just one part of the puzzle additional optional conserved peptide structures surrounding it, as well as concrete variation of the FH2 domain itself, greatly influence the functional properties and cellular localization of the resultant formin protein. Formins have been implicated in variety of cellular processes, which often (but not always) involve the cytoskeleton e.g. Factin network management, crosstalk of Factin filaments and microtubules or plasma membrane. They also partake in processes integral to cell division, function in conserved signalling pathways and much more. This thesis explains the structure and function of FH2 and FH1 domains, outlines the main formin phylogenetic clades in multicellular eukaryotes and reviews various roles that formins fulfill or are thought to fulfill. Such goal, however, is very bold and (considering the...
