Regional Insight into Tax revenues in the Czech Republic
Kůs, Jan ; Feřtrová, Marie (advisor) ; Csank, Pavel (referee)
The main goal of this work, which is devoted to an issue of regional impacts of taxation policy, is an initial survey of a regional variability of tax collection in the Czech Republic. A principal part of the thesis is a quantitative analysis of the tax collection and an evaluation of distribution of the tax burden among individual regions in the Czech Republic. Because of rather deficient data base suitable for investigation of this field, an important aim of the work is its critical evaluation and consideration of its relevance. Little attention has been given to this subject in a social geography research so far, therefore a theoretical part of the work is substantial: various approaches towards taxation are discussed from the perspective of fundamental economical schools and selected theories of the regional development, the most important requirements of tax systems are compared from the viewpoint of a theory of public finances and finally, posibilites, practice and significance of use of taxation instruments are explained for needs of regional policy makers.

The work adverts to difficulties of returning to a job after a maternity/parental leave. The most frequent problems parents returnig to work are coping with are: securing a job, outdated qualifications and work experience or absence of a flexible working conditions. Influence of Fairs and Congresses on building destination image of the Czech republic
Vokounová, Barbora ; Mikeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Indrová, Jarmila (referee)
This diploma thesis analyses the influence of fairs and congresses on destination image. Marketing knowledge in field of branding and image is used as well as theory of tourism and destination marketing. As interdisciplinary approach proposes, fairs and congresses are understood as factors influencing the destination image through various agents. Not only general direct benefits but also variables participating on image transfer of congresses and fairs to destination image are described. Target group performing the strongest influence is identified. Review of contemporary fair and congress industry together with real situation examples demonstrate the transfer of associations. The diploma thesis suggests measures on the base of gained theoretical and practical knowledge, which could help in development of fairs and congresses to strengthen the positive influences on destination image.

In this work I tried to describe difficult actors way during looking for a character of Aljoša Karamazov during rehearsaling Bratři (Karamazovi) inscenation in DISK theater in season 2007/2008. I´m trying to show unbiased look to reheares on DAMU after two years interval of field experience. I´m looking to my own mistakes during work and I highlight moments which were important for my life of actor.

Methods and results of therapeutic effect's research
Hořejš, Nikola ; Junková, Vendula (referee) ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor)
This paper analyzes methods of therapeutic effect's research, its advantages and limitations. It describes the theory of therapeutic change, medical model of measurements and randomized clinical trials. Based on this we suggest a three-level evaluation of change, where clinical, statistical and comparative (effect size) view is used. We conclude that the high effectiveness of therapy has been proven, but it has not been determined so far, which therapy is the most effective and for which diagnosis. The techniques of therapies are far less relevant than the capabilities of the therapist and client and the common factors. In the empirical part we measure the effect of sevenweeks- long outpatient therapeutic community program at Horni Palata. In a non-RCT study with 162 clients we found, that the change was positive and statistically significant. The evaluation differs much with the tool (SCL-90, DZS, MMPI-2) and method that is used. The percentage of clinically improved ranges form 25 to 68, the effect size is between 0.33 and 0.66. The effect doesn't differ with sex, age, medication, diagnosis and therapist, but it correlates with the pre-treatment scores.

From functionalism to the style for living. Architect Karel Honzík's theory
Kovtun, Jakub ; Ortová, Jitka (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
The main focus of the thesis is the theory of architecture of Karel Honzík (1900 - 1966), one of the most distinguished architects of the funcionalist period in Czechoslovakia. The first chapter sets out to explore the historical and cultural background of the formation of modernist theories and beliefs. Architectural theories of Adolf Loos and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and their analysis and evaluation as the most important influences on the formation of the functionalist paradigm in architecture are discussed in the second chapter. In the third chapter, theories of other Czech functionalist architects whose work was related to Honzík's are presented and analyzed, with focus on Le Corbusier's influence. The final chapter follows Honzík's departure from the strict functionalist paradigm towards a comprehensive understanding of architecture as of a process of shaping human environment towards a greater capacity to fulfil both instrumental and emotional human needs. Honzík's theory of architecture is also shown to be closely linked to structuralism, especially to its application in linguistics.

Spectral optical simulator
Kavalír, Zdeněk ; Pop, Tomáš (referee) ; Pelikán, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement an optical simulator focused on spectral light sources and dispersion effects, suitable for educational and experimental purposes. The input of the simulation is an XML scene definition file describing light sources, optical elements and optical sheets. The result of the simulation is one or more pictures containing incident light footprints collected on optical sheets as well as side sheets observing scene from a distance along with track of light passing through the scene. A light source can be defined as a point light with user-defined spectral distribution or a bitmap light using input bitmap picture as a glowing texture. The shape of any optical element can be defined as a basic solid, or constructed using CSG techniques. The scene definition file specification allows using of arithmetic expressions and user-defined variables. The simulation is based on a distribution of light from light sources toward the scene using a Monte-Carlo algorithm. Behaviour of light incident onto a transparent boundary is computed precisely according to the geometry of an element; a paraxial ray approximation is not used.

The integration of students from Faculty of Health and Social Studies to the nursing team from the student´s point of view
BRADOVÁ, Zuzana
The education of nurses takes place in double environment; each of them is equally important (university and clinical practice). One of most important elements, influencing the contribution and quality of the hands-on training, is surely the rate of the integration of students to the nursing staff. The process of the integration is very complex, depending on various factors that may affect it negatively as well as positively. The principal aim of the bachelor work was to determine the rate of the integration of the students of our faculty to a nursing team during the course of training from the point of view of a student from field of study Nurse. I suppose that the objects of the work were fulfilled and the hypotheses, by virtue of the evaluation of results, confirmed.

Development of PPP projects in EU and Czech republic
Tučný, Martin ; Kadeřábková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Khendriche Trhlínová, Zuzana (referee)
The thesis deals with Public Private Partnership in the European Union and Czech Republic. On the grounds of analysis, it aims to asses impacts of providing public goods especially by course of PPP projects. PPP issue is defined generally, considering all basic elements by way of theoretical information. A comparative view of current PPP situation and development in Czech Republic and Great Britain was an important contribution while handling the selected topic. An analysis of EU task of implementing PPP projects in member states and financing these projects from EU funds is no less important. In the analytical part, emphasis is put on the origins and history of PPP, legal regulations of PPP and the institutional framework in particular countries. Number of instances of practice are mentioned too. As regards Czech Republic, one part of the thesis is devoted to the barriers to development.
