The creation and utilization efficiency of multimedia learning materials on teaching chemistry in high school (transition elements)
Veřmiřovský, Jan ; Bílek, Martin (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee) ; Ganajová, Mária (referee)
Topic: The Efficiency of Designing and Applying the Multimedia Study Materials in the Chemistry Instruction at Grammar schools (Transition Elements) Abstract Numerous researches prove, that the computer-supported learning content presentations are frequently applied within the process of instruction but the available results are general, global without focusing on respondents' age structure, detecting their interest in working with presentation programmes or correlation to teachers' computer literacy, i.e. using and designing their own computer-supported presentations of the learning content. These were the main reasons why the dissertation thesis focuses on the frequency of designing and using this type of presentations and multimedia objects according to the computer literacy level and the length of respondents' teaching practice in chemistry at grammar schools in the Czech Republic, mainly in the Moravian-Silesian region. The explorative methods were applied in the pedagogical research, i.e. the questionnaire method (traditional questionnaire and the questionnaire with assessment scales) and the Q-methodology. The research sample consists of 203 chemistry teachers in the traditional questionnaire and 99 ones in the questionnaire with assessment scales from all regions of the Czech Republic; the random...

The selected investment project effectiveness evaluation
MINARČÍKOVÁ, Jana
The central topic of this bachelor work is The selected investment project effectiveness evaluation. Its main objective is to create a system of economic investment evaluation which will enable to valorize the chosen project efficiency. In the practical part a company Ingersoll-Rand Equipment Manufacturing Czech Republic ltd placed in Kolín investment is inquired. The chosen investment project was introduced and later explored. The cash flow definition was formed and consequently particular coefficients were counted. These taken namely into account were its return on investment period, its net present value and its inner yield percentage. After calculation realization the investment was proved as irrecoverable. The investment realization itself brings discounts therefore an attempt to use tax shield was carried out. After considering the tax influence on the investment the project was characterized as efficient. It has to be taken into account that the mentioned tax shield can be used only in case that the business is profittable. The 2012 profit and loss account shows that the company met the profit condition, therefore the variation including the tax effect may be applied.

Decision making with multiple imperfect decision makers a workshop in conjuction with the 24nd Annual Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems
Guy, Tatiana Valentine ; Kárný, Miroslav ; Wolpert, D.
Prescriptive Bayesian decision making has reached a high level of maturity, supported by efficient, theoretically well-founded algorithms. While the long-standing problem of describing a sigle decision maker´s bounded rationally in well-known, the similar problem for systems of multiple decision makers with limited cognitive, acting and evaluative abilities/resources has not been considered systematically. The goal of this workshop is to explore such connections between descriptive and prescriptive decision making of multiple decision makers.

How Rewarding Is Technical Analysis? Evidence from Central and Eastern European Stock Markets
Hrušová, Ivona ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Princ, Michael (referee)
This thesis assesses whether technical analysis can generate substantial profits in Central and Eastern European stock markets with a special focus on the Prague Stock Exchange. It investigates a well established trend follower MACD as well as a counter- trend indicator stochastic oscillator and relative strength index and introduces test statistics and bootstrap methodology in order to explore the profitability of these technical trading rules. The empirical results suggest that rewards of technical analysis differ according to individual stock markets. Whereas both indicators considered are found to yield significantly positive returns especially in the Bucharest and Prague Stock Exchanges, but have no predictive power on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The findings raise a question about the efficiency of the less developed stock markets.

The Map of Brno
Pulicar, Martin ; Klímová, Barbora (referee) ; Kögler, Žaneta (advisor)
„Hic sunt leones“ is a printed publication that represents the outcome of diploma thesis Map of Brno. It is a pocket-size map in a form of a book describing the dark side of Brno, fitting contextually within the scope of urban exploration. Locations described within the publication are far beyond the general interest of the majority, and even the alternative minority, of population within the city. These are locations whose visit may result not just in dirty pants or possible conflict with the police, but also in injuries or even death. The inaccessibility of these places is emphasized by the inaccessibility of the map itself, which is being tested at it's very edge of usability. Accurate cartographic mapping is not the intention of this project, neither it is the process of making these places easily accessible. Mediation of their unique atmosphere and providing the evidence of their mere existence is the primary intention here. More so because of the fact that such places are subjects to very fast perdition.

Influence of economical crises on weak efficiency of capital markets
Minařík, Štěpán ; Teplý, Petr (advisor) ; Vošvrda, Miloslav (referee)
In first part of my research a describe different ways of measuring weak efficiency of capital markets. In second part I explore economical crises in five various countries (Argentina, Malaysia, Mexico and Czech Republic) and I enounce hypothesis of effect of economical crises on weak capital market efficiency. In the end by using some tests (variance ratio test, run test, break event test) and discussion of results according to hypothesis I verify an availability of statement if crises has any influence on capital market weak efficiency. Anti erosion protection solution on the basins' borderline in various landscaping projects.
MURČO, Tomáš
The graduation thesis analyzes water erosion issue, especially by calculating average earth annual loss using the Wischmeier Smith universal equation. Primary task was to assess and evaluate erosion phenomenon on the model basins' borderlines and review the hydrological and administrative teritorial units overlay from the perspective of rainfall runoff. Secondary task was to explore the possibility and suitability of increasing the rainfall erosion efficiency factor by doubling.
