Effect of Exchange Rate Hedging on the Performance of Collective Investment Fund
Pfeiferová, Daniela ; Valder, Antonín (advisor) ; Jiří, Jiří (referee)
Collective investment is among the fastest growing areas of investment in financial markets. Its importance within each economy is influenced by the level of development of the capital market. The beginnings of collective investment in the Czech Republic are associated with the coupon privatization in the 90s of the last century. The basic advantages of this method of investing can include risk diversification, professional portfolio management, liquidity of the investment, regulation and tax benefits. The theoretical part describes the historical development of this business in the financial market. The systematization of collective investment was proposed according to the subject of investing, the method of returns distribution to investors, the terms of investment strategy, the investor's investment profile and according to the existing legislation. Transparent classification schemes were created for particular perspectives. The analytical part of the thesis analyzes the processes used to measure the performance of mutual funds, characterization of the risks associated with collective investment and the possible ways to hedge the foreign currency exchange rate risk. The outputs of the thesis respond to two hypotheses: H1: The monthly cost to hedge the foreign exchange risk affects the monthly performance of the mutual fund on the basis of the correlation in time series. H2: Is the information on the costs of exchange rate hedging required for quality decisionmaking for a small investor (consumer).

The issue of labour costs and benefits
Kolínová, Veronika ; Šišková, Jitka (advisor) ; Lörinczová, Enikö (referee)
This bachelor project deals with The issue of labour costs and benefits. It is divided into two parts: The theoretical and the practical. At the beginning, the theoretical part explains employment relations. It means creation and termination of employment, the agreement to perform work and agreement to complete a job. Then the theoretical part is about wages, where are describes their forms like a time wage, work wage and brokerage commission and the term gross wage including its fixed and movable parts is explained here. The health insurance, social insurance and tax on personal income is included of this topic. It shows the calculation of the amount for wage and billing of the most used transactions which are related with the labour costs. The employee benefits including their structuring are in the end of the theoretical part. The practical part is applied to the T.P.C.A. company, where the offered benefits are introduced like a services for employees, financial remunerations and the freetime activities. The most interesting benefits for the employees were detected by the questionnare survey. Employees were choosing benefits for current employment and the most interesting benefits for employees which were prefered before the start of the employment. The benefits, which are the least desirable were detected too. Therefore, these benefits are the least motivating. The optimal solution for employer is suggested by the using these results. It is the proposal for the improving conditions of benefits and then it is the proposal of the new benefits by the employees.

The Proposal of Internal Transport Improvement in Stone4you e.U
Petýrek, Robin ; Juřica, Pavel (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on streamlining material handling in the context of internal transport in Stone4you e.U. At the beginning it basically deals with internal transport and material handling. Then analyses the current status of this issue. Based on this information then proposes a new way, which leads to cost reduction, shortening of the handling time and increasing safety at work.

Artificial Intelligence in Power Oil Transformers Diagnostics
Janda, Ondřej ; Szabó,, Radek (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Petr (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with the application of expert systems and soft computing methods in field of power oil transformers. The main work is divided into theoretical and practical part. First, the theoretical part presents the basic elements of the transformer, and approaches to its diagnosis. The work focused mainly on the diagnostics of the insulation system, and diagnostic methods and approaches in this specific area. Next part describes the basics of expert systems and other soft computing methods such as: fuzzy logic, neural networks, genetic algorithms and their combinations and extensions. At the end of the theoretical part, the possibility of optimization approaches by means of artificial intelligence and its application in fuzzy model optimization are described. The practical part begins with description of the used data file that runs through the entire work. The work is then divided into four parts, namely in parts which deal with the expert system for transformer diagnostics, DGA module, prediction module, and optimization using artificial intelligence. The section describing the expert system gives specific information about the particular expert system. The means and techniques used for constructing given system are described, and then the complete system design and description of all subsystems and modules are presented. The next section describes the developed DGA module and all selected approaches to its implementation and expansion. At the end of the chapter, the results of comparison between all implemented methods are evaluated. The third part deals with the prediction module and describes its design and construction, including description of the main parts which are based on the selected predictive approaches. Also, the predictions of selected quantities from the data file are included. There are two predictive approaches being used: the one step prediction, and the multiple step prediction. The comparison of prediction accuracy and computational cost of given methods is presented at the end of this chapter. The last part deals with the possibilities of optimization using artificial intelligence methods, namely differential evolution, PSO, and genetic algorithms. Both the single-objective and the multi-objective optimization are considered. The methods are compared in a series of synthetic tests and then applied to optimize the fuzzy models of DGA tests from an earlier part of this work. The dissertation also includes chapters: "The Aims", "The Contribution of the Work", and a list of publications, products, and projects of the author.

Assembly of central part of the motor heat regulation system as a concept of an assembly line
Juřicová, Vendula ; Neužil, Karel (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of assemble unit technology for mounting the central part of motor heat regulation system. In the beginning the current status is described,  followed by the analysis of mounting options, specifying assembly times and determining cycles of the assebly line and developing logistic support. The resulting layout should be ergonomically acceptable, cost-effective and efficient.

Maintenance work design for small transport aircraft
Bednář, Ondřej ; Koštial, Rostislav (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design maintenance work for a small transport aircraft. This thesis is focused on an overview of the activities, which are carried out in the maintenance of small transport aircraft with a capacity about fifty passengers. The first part of this thesis is conceived as a theoretical part and summarizes the activities used during maintenance - maintenance methods, a typical part failures, diagnostics, network analysis and equations for the calculating of the cost of maintenance. At the beginning are showed the basic characteristics of selected representatives of this category and regulatory requirements on them. The design of maintenance work is in the second half of the thesis. It includes the visualization of the database that could be used for the maintenance of aircraft and which could be subsequently evaluated. This is a general description of the maintenance work, which ca be performed during the pre-flight inspection, re-inspection for repeated flights, preliminary preparation and periodic maintenance.
