Analysis of Single Resolution Mechanism
Kardaczová, Karolína ; Blahová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Marková, Jana (referee)
The final thesis follows the effort of the European Union to transfer responsibility for issues in the banking sector from taxpayers to its shareholders and creditors. It adopts many new tools and measures. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the banking union project, which unifies the supervision and procedures for solving the crisis at the European level. Emphasis is placed on the newly adopted Single resolution mechanism. Since the adopted legislation does not apply exclusively to the Eurozone countries the second part of the thesis analyses the implementation of the BRRD into Czech law, and the related amendments concerning the Czech banking sector. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the crisis resolving procedure, which is specified in the third chapter on the example of a fictitious bank. The example monitors tools and measures that can be used in various life stages of a bank. It is mainly based on the rules laid down in BRRD and the Czech legislation ZOPRK.

Credit risk monitoring in the Czech banking sector : Early warning model
Mužíček, Pavel ; Dědek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Rippel, Milan (referee)
The aim of my thesis is in the first place to show how to deal with a credit risk, and which tools the Czech banking sector uses to minimize it (based on the adequate literature and own experience). In the second place, the aim is to find out the reliable logit model estimating the probability of default during the short period based on available data (in the time of economic crisis in the Czech environment). In the first part of this thesis I am describing the development of Non-performing loans before and during the current financial crisis together with the results of the CNB's stress tests. Next chapter describes the credit risk with the emphasis on the credit monitoring, including the most frequently used monitoring tools. Practical part turns us to the most important EWM model. The strictly confidential banking data (credit account turnovers, credit contract), together with data from the financial statements and CRU registry are the inputs to the Model. The Model should work as an early warning signal detection thanks to the estimate of probability of default (more specifically the watch loan classification or worse) during the next three months.

Arbitrability of dispute and International Commercial Arbitration - Summary Bc. Martin Svatoš The objective of this thesis is to explain the issue of arbitrability of disputes in an international commercial arbitration, especially to compare the Czech and the foreign approach. The thesis consists of three chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of arbitrability. Chapter One is introductory and defines basic terminology used in the thesis: especially the definition of arbitrability and the question of choice-law. It addresses the issue of the institution deciding the objection of arbitrability and the distinction between the subjective and objective arbitrability, too. Chapter Two concerns the subjective arbitrability. The approach of subjective arbitrability argues whether the State or state entities could be a part of arbitration agreement. However, this claim was questioned by some states and some authors. It examines relevant Czech and other legislations, especially the legislation of states with relatively hostile approach to subjective arbitrability, e.g. Iran. It concerns the old approach of Belgium, too. It presents the approach of denial of justice by several states. Finally, it provides an outline of relevant case law and illustrates the today's point of view by important award...

My Bachelor thesis aims to clearly describe situation in Moravia and show the stratification of the Czech and Russian languages and a city language in the two Russian "capitals", Moscow and Saint Petersburg. I drew on specialized works dedicated to this topic, small studies in various scientific proceedings, newspaper articles and my own materials. The thesis consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, I deal with the stratification of the Czech national languages, aspects of diversification of the Czech national language, particularly with respect to the role of standard and informal Czech. In the second chapter, I describe situation in Moravia and Moravian dialects. Despite their differences from standard and informal Czech, dialects are still Czech; they are just a phonetic variant of Czech. The third chapter contains an elaboration on the city language in Ostrava, and particularly in Brno. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the stratification of the Russian language, Russian dialects and contains a brief comparison of the "city language" in Russia.
