Pobuda, Petr ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pergl, Robert (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to work up an overview about problematic relating to evaluation of use and effectiveness of IS/IT in organization. The accent in analyzing and evaluating is placed on soft metrics of IS/IT and its character. Author creates a task to specify and make clear why to evaluate IS/IT and which utility such evaluation brings. Other goal is to explain possible approaches of evaluating and the differences between them. The thesis is divided into two logical parts. First part contains theoretical base focused on soft metrics of measuring IS/IT. The second part is focused on describing practical measurement of IS/IT in organization. For full description of given area, author presents important aspects of public sector and significant law restrictions. In addition my goal is to synthetize knowledge and best practices in the process of ICT integration as well as in the merger process itself. Main contribution is to synthetize experience from past contracts and research the role of ICT in integration process. Main reason for it was that despite information age we live in, technological aspect in M&A is often underestimated aside from crucial impact which it has on success of whole process.

A verification of an approximation of the continuous double auction by a sequence of call auctions.
Kubík, Petr ; Šmíd, Martin (advisor) ; Branda, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with two kinds of double auction - with the continuous auction and a sequence of call auctions. We explain their rules and we define their models. We present results of simulations of the both kinds of double auction - the aim is to look for the call auction with such parameters that the prices and the traded volume of the continuous auction are approximated best. Finally, in a theoretical part, we characterize the dis- tribution of the order book in the continuous auction and then we specify the joint distribution of the price and the traded volume in the call auction (the distribution of bid, ask and the traded volume given by the continuous auction may be immediately devised from the distribution of the order book).

Investigations of uratic concrements in urolithiasis
Kultová, Lenka ; Zadina, Jiří (advisor) ; Kotaška, Karel (referee)
Urolithiasis is wide - spread disease, which can lead to serious complications as far as acute renal failure. It is important to analyze the composition of calculus for accurate diagnosis and effective prevention. I deal with analysis of urinary stones by infrared spectroscopy and polarization microscopy in this work. In the first part of the work I intent on the methodical aspects of assesment. The set of ten samples, which included rife components of calculi, was evaluated by two software programs - Kidney Stone Analysis and Omnic. Programme Kidney Stone Analysis gives just one end - result. Programme Omnic indicates ten possible results of the constitution of the sample, which best matches with spectra from libraries. The evaluative person has a possibility to compare these results and decide for the end - result, according to how quantitative data in the evaluation repeat. The result of component's content around 10 % can not be regard as totally reliable. The polarization microscope enables to check and specify the results of the analysis. To use a combination of both methods claimed to be very profitable. In the second part of the work, patients' urinary stones were analyzed, in the way how samples are evaluated in laboratory running. Patient group was formed by 20 persons (17 men and 3 women) in the...

The language of the Portuguese advertising
Melounová, Irena ; Jindrová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Hricsina, Jan (advisor)
My graduation work, The Language of Portuguese Advertising, deals with modern and dynamic promotional discourse. The results presented in the project are based on the analysis of self-gathered promotional wordings in the Portuguese press from 2006 - 2008. The project is divided into 8 chapters reflecting individual linguistic discipline and verbal level. Advertising is mainly one-way communication originating from a company and going to anonymous parties, not a specified potential customer group. First of all, the promotional message has to catch the recipient's attention; secondly, it should inform about product purchase benefits in the best way. The conative function ranks first among the linguistic functions.Printed advertising has a verbal-iconic character. The brand name in advertising represents minimal linguistic utterance. Primarily, I devoted the chapter on pragmatics to conversational maxim denials. Promotional messages often don't adhere to relevancy and quality. They usually deputize indirect verbal acts. Expressions such as aqui and agora predominate in the temporal and local area of deixis and they refer the utterance to the moment and place of the speech. The most frequent demonstrative is este that refers to subjects being promoted. The most-used morphosyntactic means to praise a product or...

Software for project management in conditions of organization's project management
Baránek, Aleš ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (advisor) ; Říha, Václav (referee)
Final thesis deals with functions and usage of software for project management in the specific conditions of project management background of organization. Introduction into project management software presents it's characteristics, usage and roles when providing support of project management activities and procedures. Models of organization's project management are defined by investigation of usage of software for project management in the specific conditions of organization. Based on detailed analysis of software functions we define functional spectra, which specify importance of functional areas of software for every model of organization's project management. Such concept of functinal spectra can be used when evaluating suitability of using existing software for project management in terms and conditions of concrete organization. Last chapter of the thesis gives example of usage of functional spectra concept for selection of the software which fits the best to the project management background of the company.
