Processing of Texy Language

One of the problems encountered by today's publishing systems for the web is making it easy for authors to enter content. This problem has been solved in the past by a PHP library called Texy. The goal of this work is to create a new implementation of the Texy language, which will be based on the Java platform. This document describes implementation details of the compiler, the model of the language and the formal grammar used. It also explores potential further development of the library, namely generating output formats other than HTML.
Web Application for e-Learning

This bachelor´s thesis is elaborated according to the assignment of Honeywell company, which decided to broaden learning possibilities of foreign languages in their company by e-learning. Employees will have an opportunity to use e-learning system, which will help them to enhance their knowledge beside attending classical lessons. E-learning includes various kinds of exercises and homeworks as well, which are sent to particular lector for checking. E-learning is a web application placed on the Internet and is accessible anywhere, where Internet connection is available. It includes administration interface for lectors and employees, which is only accessible by login and password. The system was created by HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL technology and certainty nowadays is technology Ajax as well.
A CPU Emulator for Assembler Course

The bachlors's thesis discusses the design of a CPU architecture emulator aimed to assembly languages course. While most of nowadays emulators are architecture specific, this document describes an approach to create an emulator allowing users to easily set up their own architecture, to perform operations upon it, and to display its current state.
Conversions between CF Grammars and Pushdown Automata

This work suggests and solves the implementation of the transformation of context-free grammars and the conversions between context-free grammars and pushdown automata. It makes acquainted with the models used in modern theory of formal languages. In the work are indicated all algorithms necessary for transformations and mutual conversions between context-free grammars and pushdown automata. Proposed is an object representing the grammar and the automaton in the programme. Described is the assigning of definitions of grammar and of the automaton, the solution of drawing the automaton on the screen and the creation of graphical user interface of the application. The resulting programme is developed as Jawa applet which is available on public internet pages www.convertcfg.php5.cz.
Fast Queries over Java Language Metadata

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to design and implement a query language over metadata of Java source programs . The metadata is obtained by Procyon decompiler and stored in Titan graph database . To access Titan, TinkerPop framework is used . Then , the designed query language is used to acces the data in the database . The parser for the query language is generated using ANTLR tool .
Identification of emotional state using speech signal analysis

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of human emotional states speaker by the help of analyse speech signals. The thesis has two parts. In the first part, the process of speech generating is described in addition to the description of the commonly used pre-processing methods such as denoising or preemphasis. The first part also deals with the major and minor prosody features, these features are: the fundamental frequency, energy, spectral features and time domain features such as the speech rate. The second part of this thesis deals with a task of emotion recognition from the speech signal. When we accumulate sufficient of the number of recordings emotive state will be able to rekognize emotive state with high probability. All project is prepared for use in real time. The last part of this thesis thesis contains description and results of the experiments made on a large number of speech records.
Cultural and linguistic instruments in diplomatic negotiation. - Case study of the USA.

This thesis summarizes the findings of anthropology and linguistics and highlights the role of language in society. On the concepts of linguistic anthropology and sociolinguistics proves the importance of language in culture and therefore the possibility of its use in diplomatic negotiation. It also deals with the practical use of the English language and the influence of American culture in the domestic and foreign policy of the United States - primarily it mentions amerikanization programs and disseminating English abroad. The last part deals with the actual programs of cultural and public diplomacy of the United States, trying to identify programs that lead to active dissemination of English and American culture.
The Language of Horse Breeders and Lovers

The topic of this bachelor´s work is the analysis of the language of horse breeders and horse lovers. The theoretical part concentrates on the presentation of hobby and professional activity; thereafter there si made analysis of specific expressions in "horse language". The goal of the work is to examine this type of communication from a linguistic point of view and to enrich a practical study of non-standard Czech language.
Josef Čapek (Critical Essay)

Diploma thesis called Josef Čapek (monographic study)focuses on Josef Čapek's literary discourse. On the one hand it deals with the meanings of topics and motives, which were crucial for Čapek's writing in the relation with the whole author's work, on the other one it concentrates on formal characteristics of Čapek's literary language. Thesis also attempts to answer the question whether Josef Čapek followed contemporary literary tendencies or whether his works differed and if they did, then how. The relationship between Čapek's writing and paintings is also important, therefore the thesis examines whether his painting activity somehow reflected in or even directly influenced his literary works. The whole thesis is divided into eight chapters, by which we suggest to structure also whole Josef Čapek's literary work itself into eight periods and areas. Bibliography, mapping published first editions of his texts, reception and reflection of his literary works, paintings and his own personality, is also important part of the thesis.
Social work and necessity of a united professional association seen through gender policy

The thesis deals with social work and its current situation. The work focuses on the reflection of the gender issues in social work. The introductory part is devoted to the public and the private sphere and the way how it was set in the society and to the consequences for men and women. The next part briefly introduces the history of the social work as a domain of women and the church, which reflected/did not reflect the social revolutions, development and changes that have happened in our society up to the present day. The second part of the work points to the uncrystallization and fragmentation of social work, difficult self-definition/identification of male and female social workers as a result of the post-modern society code and the gender contract. The thesis subsequently compares the problems of social work and women´s associations and finds the solution in the implementation of a united professional association.
