CFD Calculations in Turbomachinery and their Validation
Váchová, J. ; Louda, P. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Luxa, Martin ; Šimurda, David
Numerical data obtained by 2D compressible flow CFD simulation were validated by the comparison with experimental results. The investigation was made on the mid-section of the 48" long rotor blade and it was focused on the effect of shock-wave interactions with shear layers. This interaction results in the laminar/turbulent transition where separated flow occurs and it has impacts on flow structure and the blade cascade losses. Numerical simulations were carried out by two different codes: the commercial code NUMECA based on the gamma-Re transition model connected with the SST k-epsilon/k-omega turbulence model and in-house code of the Dept. of Technical mathematics, CTU Prague/ Institute of Thermodynamics in Prague. Simulations of the laminar and the fully turbulent flows were accomplished for comparison using the same numerical approach.

Japan on the road to become a superpower, 1868-1905

Chantal Akerman
Pařízková, Tereza ; Dufek, Jiří (advisor) ; Bernard, Jan (referee)
In this work I am focusing on the personality of Belgian director and screenwriter Chantal Akerman and her style in the movies Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles and La Bas. I chose these two between many for different reasons. These are one of her first movies and one of her last ones, however there is a strong bond between them. Both movies are similar in how the main character ? a woman who stays at her home better than anything else ? is perceived by the audience. Both women are happy in their stereotypical life and they are fully dedicated to the everyday house chores which stands for some kind of therapy to them. None of these two women is realizing this obvious fact though. I use these two very personal movies to point out the main topics in Akerman's work. I also use a theory of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to explain the character of Jeanne Dielman more.

SUBJECTIVE VIEW ON QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AT SAINT JOSEF´S HOUSE AT ŽIREČ.
KRÁLOVÁ, Inka
Sclerosis multiplex (disseminated) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system occuring to young people mostly. This is a diagnosis that changes a person{\crq}s life entirely. The people suffering from the disease gradually become fully dependent on the other people{\crq}s help. The disease is usually diagnosed at people at the age 20 {--} 40. Domov sv. Josefa (St. Joseph{\crq}s Hospice) in Žireč provides good conditions for dignified and full-value life of the ill people, and psychical support in their fight with the destiny. The hospice is the only of its kind in the Czech Republic though the number of applications for staying here is increasing and the capacity of the hospice is not sufficient. Most people with the diagnosis of sclerosis multiplex stay in seclusion; mostly they get divorced or stay with their elderly parents. Domov sv. Josefa offers the ill people the solution of their difficult life situation. In my work I found out patients{\crq} subjective opinions on the quality of their lives in the hospice and how the people with sclerosis disseminated live in the ward of permanent residence in Domov sv. Josefa. The essay should help to increase the awareness of Domov sv. Josefa because I believe the care facilities of the kind should be more numerous in the Czech Republic. This is a way how to solve the difficult situation of many people suffering from sclerosis disseminated and how to allow them to have dignified, active and full-value lives.

Urinary Inkontinence as a Stress Faktor on Seniors- Women
MARŠÍKOVÁ, Jana
Abstract Urinary incontinence is involuntary leakage of urine, which causes medical, psychological, social and hygienic problems. Incontinence is a common problem of senior age and influences all fields of women´s life. Almost every senior woman has some kind of experience with this issue, either personal or linked to someone she knows. This thesis deals with causes of incontinence origin, its diagnostics and treatment possibilities. The aim was to find out whether incontinence influences mental condition of senior women and if so, in which way the problems connected with the incontinence are present. The thesis further examines how senior women cope with information about their problems, whether they have sufficient information and whether the information is understandable. It is also important to know what the modern-day options for treatment of this problem are, and whether senior women are willing to undergo the procedures and examinations. The thesis also deals with the question whether senior women have sufficiency of incontinency aids, whether they are satisfied with the nursing care and whether their privacy during sanitation is satisfactory. The survey shows that senior women are stressed by urine leakage, they reduce their activities, socially isolate themselves, are dissatisfied with the quantity of the incontinency aids, limit the fluid intake. The finding, that senior women are not much interested in receiving more information, in further detailed examinations, or in pelvic muscle rehabilitation, was surprising. It has been proven that doctors offer mainly pharmacological and compensational treatment to senior women. Regarding the privacy issue, it has been proven that senior women are satisfied with the nursery care and have adapted to the lack of privacy. It resulted from the survey that nurses do not have enough professional information for education of senior women. Elaboration of a new educational plan for the Senior House clients and nurses working in the facility is the output of this thesis.

Practical dramaturgy of a great drama house
Rubenová, Sylvie ; SÍLOVÁ, Zuzana (advisor) ; KORČÁK, Jakub (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis Practical dramaturgy of a great drama house (Is it possible to create a conscious artistic concept in the National theatre?) is to try to reflect practical experiences obtained during the first season as a dramaturg of the drama department in the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre and based on them to name the specifics and problematics of the dramaturgy of a great drama house in a regional city. NMST is a four department theatre operating two big stages (Jiří Myron Theatre and Antonín Dvořák Theatre) and a small stage (rehearsal room in Antonín Dvořák Theatre), where on all of them the drama department is operating. Therefore it is not a classical one department drama house as it is (like e.g. Vinohrady Theatre), but it is essential that in Ostravian theatrical context it fulfills exactly this function. Major role in the functioning of drama department of NMST is obviously played by two “systems”, which it is a part of: ie the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (thus also other departments and its overall profilation) and Ostravian theatre scene, therefore I consider necessary to outline the wider context at first because it largely affects the drama department of NMST as its subset. The part of this work is also a pursuit of naming the task of a permanent dramaturg in this type of theatre, using which means he can (and must) participate on the directions and formation of the department, with short-term and long-term outlook, which comes obviously from the specific experience in this specific theatre. It is not the aim to pursue the past of the drama department of NMST, thus analysis of the historical tendencies of this department, but its contemporary situation, ie the present and possible future. Based on the analysis of the current repertoire and upcoming dramaturgical plans I will pursue the options and limits not only of this drama department, but of the great drama at all.

Methodology for basson
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Herman, František (advisor) ; Seidl, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with the methodology playing the bassoon in the form and rules of School Education. The School Education Program for Elementary schools of art will replace the previously existing curriculum and will determine the compulsory teaching plan for the next years. Firstly, I present the final version of The School Education Plan for Štefánikova Elementary school of art, which has the shape of a table and which is formally accurate. After that follows the Basic text of The School Education Program which includes more text and more options of the concept of teaching. The longest, methodical part of the work, where I describe various technical terms and important concepts, is based on the Basic text of the School Education Program. The aim is to allow insight into the creation of the School Education Program and to clarify the meaning of terms.
