Nutrition of patients on surgical departments
ČERMÁKOVÁ, Michaela
The bachelor work called the Nutrition of Patients at Surgical Wards occupies with nutrition of surgical patiens, their energetic nutrition intake and the intake of the basic nutrients during their stay in hospital, ie proteins, fats and carbohydrates. The aim of the work is to find out how many calories on average the patiens at the surgical ward consumed per day. The theoretical section is divided into two parts. In the first part there are described the basic components of food and their recommended daily intake. The second part deals with the problem of various illnesses typical at surgical wards. This part also deals with diets that are often indicated at the area of surgery. For realization of the practical part there was used the method of mixed research. The facts were gained with the help of observation and semi structured interviews. The research team was created by men and women of various age categories who were healed at the surgical ward in Pribram hospital in August 2014. For three days it was recorded how much food the patiens consumed. Then, they were interviewed. The effort was to find out the reason why the patiens had not eaten the meal or if they had not consumed their own food. On the basis of the collected facts there was made a graph (frequency of the consumed hospital food), there was made each patient´s menu using the programme Nutriservis, comparison of the food energy that the patients were given during these free days and that they really ate. Energetic values of hospital food were compared just roughly with energetic needs of an average woman and an average man. To sum up this research, it was realized that only one patient during this period was rating nutritionally rich food. Other 17 patients were not eating enough. On average, the patiens were eating 60% of recommended energy during this research. One of the reasons was the type of the respondents. The patients at the surgical ward had serious healthy problems, they did not feel well and thatsway they ate less than usually. Some patiens did not have a good appetite or they did not like the hospital meals. The next reason were the planned medical examinations and nutritionally poor food given the patiens by the hospital.

Biomechanics of the reflex locomotion
Kuchařová, Lenka ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Otáhal, Stanislav (referee)
Biomechanics of reflex locomotion - electromyographic analysis author: Lenka Kuchařová summary: Vojta method is not yet in the professional world fully accepted, especially for the lack of conclusive studies that corroborate the veracity of theoretical postulates. Work on the basis of the analysis of the recording electromyographic (SEMG) in time and frequency Domain confirmed the muscle activity in the therapy of reflex locomotion. He pointed to the importance of the initial position of reflective patterns. The work outlined further directions of research, which should lead to the elucidation of the neurophysiological mechanisms of action of this method. Keywords: reflex locomotion, trigger zones, surface electromyography, frequency analysis Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Kult, Martin
This bachelor's thesis concerns the evaluation of operational safety and state of health of the trees at the chosen localities in the city Dvůr Králové nad Labem. The dendrometric characteristics, state of health, physiological age and operational safety of evaluated trees were assessed. Besides the standard parameters of assessment, also the typical defects and damages of every tree were registered with evaluation of their frequency and location at the tree. The result of the thesis consists in charts and diagrams with the taken down and compared values of state of health and operational safety. The record and frequency of the typical defects and damages is presented at their catalogue.

Spectrogram generation and their synthesis
Krajíček, Jan ; Bálek, Martin (advisor) ; Pangrác, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis describes generation of time-frequency-intensity graphs (spectrograms) of audio recordings using the Fourier transform. The theoretical possibilities and limitations of spectrogram synthesis (audio reconstruction of a given spectrogram) are discussed and two practical synthesis methods are described, based on reconstruction using pure tones and random noise. Spectrogram generation and both described synthesis methods are implemented in the form of a computer program with a graphical user interface, allowing straightforward configuration of relevant parameters.

Ouředník, Tomáš ; Osvaldová, Barbora (referee) ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor)
The Master thesis "The Media Image of the Syndicate of Journalists of Czech Republic in Dailypapers as a Contribution to Transformation of Media Environment" deals with the media image of journalistic organization created by selected nationwide printed media in years from 1990 to 2008. This paper is divided according to time periods, which were defined by three chairmen of Syndicate of Journalists - Rudolf Zeman, Irena Válová, and Miroslav Jelínek. Thesis is dealing not only with media image of the syndicate on front pages of chosen periodicals but also with position of the syndicate in society, respectively among politicians and journalist. Author have gathered information from syndicate's archival materials (National Archive in Prague and secretariat of Syndicate of Journalists in the Czech republic), from academic literature, from data of syndicate's newsletter Mediažurnál, and from found articles, which mentioned the Syndicate of Journalists in the Czech republic. The result of this paper is a media image of Syndicate of Journalists in the Czech republic with regard to chosen events. With contribution of qualitative analysis the tone of articles toward the syndicate was found out, and with help of quantitative analysis was constructed a comprehensive record of frequency of the articles. Paper reveals...

Magnetic resonance imaging of the respiratory and postural function of the diaphragm
Rychnovský, Tomáš ; Kučera, Miroslav (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee) ; Novák, Daniel (referee)
Objective: The goal of the thesis was to objectify changes of the diaphragm motion and shape in a different tasks using dynamic MRI in volunteers with pathological structural finding of the spine and the control group. Methods: Two groups of volunteers were made, those without pathological finding (n=16) and with structural pathological finding of the spine (n=17). We analyzed diaphragm function in three different tasks in all the volunteers during 1) primary breathing, 2) breathing in the course of lower extremities flexion against resistance and 3) holding the breath in the course of lower extremities flexion against resistance. Diaphragm activity was analyzed using static a dynamic parameters. For the first time ever was used postural and respiratory trace, which were separated from dynamic MRI recording. The thesis analyses frequency and amplitude of the respiratory and postural activity (independent on breathing) and their relationship. Furthermore the thesis evaluates breathe in and breathe out rotation, diaphragm excursion magnitude, inclination of the diaphragm, its height in thorax and also diaphragm motion within its different portion. Results: Diaphragm respiratory and postural changes are slower, bigger in size and better balanced in volunteers group without pathological spinal finding....

Girls? Diaries
Lásková, Marie ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Kučera, Miloš (referee)
In my master thesis I analyse diaries of five girls. The centrál point of my work is a qualitative analysis that has three parts. The fírst one includes an extemal description of diaries in which I am interested in diary characteristics such as graphic form, structure, frequency and length of records. The second part represents the genre analysis in which I analyse forms of writing which girls use, skills of writing and weather the skills of writing diaries develop in time. The third part represents thematic analysis in which I analyse the themes that appear in the diaries and their concretisations. In my work diary is not only the object of the research but also the mean to get know the authors in the analysed period that includes the end of younger pupil age and start of adolescence (age dispersion is: 9; 6 - 13; 4). I would like to compare the results of my research with the theoretical knowledge of development psychology. I try to find out what wnting diaries means for the girls, which plače writing diaries has in their lives and what writing diaries brings them. In the theoretical part I discuss the diary as a literary genre and its usage in the psychological research. I also deal with the characteristics of younger pupil age and the adolescence from the aspect of personality development. My work...

Formant field characteristics of low vowels in standard British English
Syslová, Jana ; Skarnitzl, Radek (referee) ; Volín, Jan (advisor)
Standard British English vowels have always drawn ample attention among phoneticians. It is certainly due to the fact that Standard British English served as a referential variety not only for educational purposes. However, few of the studies analysed data drawn from natural connected speech. Mostly artificial conditions created for measuring the acoustic properties of vowel formant frequencies resulted in vowels relatively neatly separated, whereas studies of connected speech usually reveal considerable overlaps between the regions of vowels in the vowel space. Earlier studies have reported on the effects of different immediate environment on vowels, yet these also derive from controlled speech recorded in laboratory conditions. Data collected in this manner are further used to describe vowel changes over certain time periods and they also serve in research of vowel perception. In comparison to that, the aim of the present study was to analyse the formant field characteristics of Standard British English vowels in a representative sample of connected speech. The study is confined only to the low vowel region of Standard British English mainly because of the extent of analysis that would have to be conducted if all the vowels were included. Besides that, the region of the English low vowels has a special...
