Sentiment analysis of social networks

This thesis concerns about sentiment analysis. In more detail sentiment analysis of social networks. Main goal of sentiment analysis is determine if tested document expresses any sentiment and, if so, whether is positive or negative. Main reason for sentiment analysis on social networks is detecting sentiment and feels about some company or brand. This activity is called brand monitoring. Information acquired from brand monitoring can be used for improving marketing or communication with customers. This thesis deals with sentiment analysis of post from public Facebook profiles of several Czech banks and telecommunication operators. Goal of this thesis is create model which has precision of determine sentiment of Facebook posts at least 80%. Method for achieving this goal is experiment. First part of this thesis describes sentiment analysis theory, definition of sentiment analysis, its problems, methods, reasons for use and use cases of sentiment analysis. Second part gives background research of often used methods and data sources for sentiment analysis in foreign research. Finally third part of this theses describes experiment, its preparation and results. Main benefit of this theses is creating model which can be later use in real word.

Myself Picture's Design in the Virtual Reality

Diploma work Self-portrait's construction within virtual reality works on theoretical base on the topic of man's digital photography displaced at the profile's web sites of internet social networks. The text evolves ontological concepts of the virtual reality and the rhizomatic antistructure in order to point out to the contemporary problem of the "new" media thinking transformation as well as the changing of visual perception of the digital portrait photography coming with new media. The unsolved situation of this transformation leads to the process of web site man's digital photograhies politisation, which the recipient ascribes the role of politician agent to. The work explains the process of photography politisation as a specific kind of co-acting of two types of visuality, that bring a new discussion and a new menace connected with digital photography online exposing to the society. The text's support in psychoanalysis and social constructivist way of thinking allows present the explorational theme as the interdisciplinary problem with the roots much further than there, where is discussed the question of safe online data sharing.

Virtual Image of the Czech Sports via Unstructured Data Analysis

Analysis of unstructured data from social media is an important and constantly growing part of information technologies' application in the marketing context. The aims of this bachelors' thesis include creating a trial platform for the analysis of un-structured data from Facebook, research and application of suitable methods and metrics for the analysis, summarizing the analysis' findings and visualisation of selected metrics by means of a dashboard. The thesis' structure corresponds to the methods used for metting the aims set and compo-ses of seven parts. The first part summarizes motives for social media analysis, deals with the approach to the topic in the contemporary scientific papers and discusses comercial tools that could be used for such analysis. The second part describes gathering of data with a crawler, setting the connection and getting the access rights to the data sources. The structure of downloaded documents and appropriate choice of data sources is also described in this part. The third part adresses the tools used for the analysis, namely Elas-ticsearch and Kibana. The fourth part defines possible questions that may be asked in the context of Czech sports image on Facebook. The fifth part identifies the metrics necessary for the questions assesment and describes corresponding data selection. The sixth part completes the analysis itself and summarizes its findnings. The seventh part describes Ki-bana's dashboard use for effective summarizing of selected metrics. The main bachelors' thesis contribution lies in the illustration of social media analysis pos-sibilities on the example of Czech sportsmen and Czech sports in general on Facebook. A crawler has been used to gather the data for the purpose of the analysis. The other em-ployed tools included Elasticsearch and Kibana, which have enabled the data selection and visualisation. The analytical approach consisted of four parts; definition of analytical que-stions, definition of methods and metrics to find answers to these questions, followed by the analysis itself and the summary of results. The following points belong to the analysis' findnings: identification of sportsman with the highest marketing potential, comparison of analysed sports according to the perceived image by fans and desgination of the pages with most interacting followers.

The benefits of enterprise social networks for internal communication

This thesis focuses on the contribution of enterprise social networking services to the internal communication. The thesis opens with definition of internal communication and next there are specified its goals and trends. Furthermore, the paper characterizes the enterprise social network as for what it actually is and how it differs from public social network. A number of corporate social networks are specified along with their characteristics. The practical part is based on a field survey which explores the problems in the internal communication. Based on the questionnaire results, solutions for mentioned problems are proposed and discussed.

The utilisation of social networks in marketing

The main objective of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with basic matters of social networks and their use for marketing purposes. The theoretical part describes the history, current trends and various tools throughout the entire online marketing. It also identifies a selection of chosen social networks - Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The practical part is focused on the safety in publishing personal informations on the internet and marketing features on social networks. A survey was conducted amongst active users in order to gather information about their level of knowledge concerning safety on the internet. The contribution of this work is to explain the marketing process with possible evaluation of success and overall understanding of the importance of social networks as a valuable advertising tool.

Categorization of virtual social networks

This thesis deals with virtual public and enterprise social networks. The main goal is to cat-egorize selected networks according to selected criteria. The thesis is divided into theoreti-cal part, which is devoted to characterization of virtual social networks, their history and gradual development and into practical part in which is a list of the biggest public social networks ranked by number of active users and a list of the most widely used enterprise social networks. The thesis is beneficial thanks to the most current view of the state of so-cial networks and with the connection of categorization and selected criteria it shows the current trends.

The impact of new legal regulation of social services

The main topic of diplomma work is the impect of new legal regulation of social services on the institution providing daycare for old peopole. This diplomma work is describing the new law of the social services and it introduces the daily centre for erderly. The work contains research, which is made by interview. The interview was answering on the researching questions about the changes which the law brings to the daily centre. I was asking the employees in the centre, which considers the erderly dementia. The investigation show, that the interviewed agree with the changes of the law. Some of the responsibilities of the law are not acceptable for demented erderly.

The use of social media in the marketing by public administration

This thesis will be based both on theoretical considerations and empirical research focused on the application of marketing in social networks by public administration. Social work with a family - significance of father's role in the family for this role

Topic of the work was chosen on the basis of experience and four-year practise in working with families as a part of family re-institution. During the years of working with families, in a significantly woman-staffed profession it has been proven how difficult it is to get also fathers involved into therapeutic work with families and into removing difficulties in childcare. In most cases fathers perceived their role as very marginal. They did not take part in the appointments and avoided them. They were not used to being present there, in most cases they considered these appointments as an issue for mothers and also a matter belonging to the world of women. Over the years we were learning how fathers shall be approached, we asked ourselves whether such approach differs from the way of approaching mothers. Or whether a different language style shall be used? What else can be done in order to involve father into reconstruction of family relations from the social worker point of view? How fathers can be activated and accentuated? In this work I decided to present techniques, which we used and which were the ones that helped us to accentuate the father's role, to support him and to make him engaged into what is going on in the family and to help the children. The role of social worker in the workplace of private enterprise

My thesis is trying to answer the question whether and how can social worker be of use in a private sector without giving up his/her traditional role. In this thesis, I am introducing a specialized field of social work, occupational social work, which refers to employer's provision of social services to their employees. I am describing main historical factors that led to the formation of this specialized field and also factors that have been influencing the field until today. I look at the development and formation of occupational social work from global perspective. I provide examples from five countries representing five different continents - Australia, India, South Africa, Germany and the USA. Further on I describe particular roles within which a social worker can have a positive impact on employees whose work performance is dropping due to the negative influence of their personal problems. Apart from work with individual employees, a social worker can focus also on improving social climate of the whole enterprise. These roles have been unified and labelled as employee assistance program, which represents the most exhaustive set of psychosocial employee services.
