Efficient Computation of Lighting
Kubovčík, Tomáš ; Pečiva, Jan (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with efficient computation of lighting in graphics scenes containing many light sources. Basic lighting calculation techniques as well as techniques derived from them will be introduced. The main goal of this thesis is to investigate tiled shading and its optimalizations described more in detail in both theoretical and practical sections. Concluding part consists of experiments performed on this techniques measuring their efficiency as well as implementation details of some interesting or important parts of them.
Rendering and Interacting Objects Displaced in a 3D Landscape
Koza, Tomáš ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Goal of this bachelor's thesis was to create a system of powerups for program TankGame. This document contents theoretical base for rendering of objects in 3D scene, it describes algorithms used in rendering of these objects. It also contains overview of rendering process and description of concrete graphical engine used in program TankGame. In the end there is description of concrete implementation of renderable objects (powerups) for program TankGame.
Graphics Interface for Board Games
Žerdík, Jan ; Pečiva, Jan (referee) ; Kučiš, Michal (advisor)
The Bachelor's diploma thesis covers with a graphical interface for board games. The main goal was to create a modular application allowing game playing. Implementation of graphic algorithms appropriate for limited scene of a board game is another important factor in the assignment of a project. Initial part of the paper covers theortical analysis of algorithms, the rest deals with implementation of selected ones.
Shadow Rendering through Translucent Materials
Mátl, Roman ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
This paper describes the calculation of shadows through translucent materials using a method called Colored Stochastic Shadow Maps and its practical implementation in OpenGL libraries. At the beginning of this work a Shadow mapping method is introduced. The next section shortly describes selected ways of dealing with rendering of transparent objects in the scene. This is followed by detailed explanation of the method Colored Stochastic Shadow Maps. The last section describes the implementation of demonstration application in C++ language, evalution of the results and proposal of options to continue the project.
Deferred Shading
Starý, Petr ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Jošth, Radovan (advisor)
Work deals with design and implementation a tutorial for demonstration deferred shading technique and its possibilities. It explains lighting and shading principles in intuitive and interactive way. Deferred shading is a technique which determines pixel color after the geometry rasterization of the entire scene. In other words the processing of geometry does not interfere with the shading process.
Creating 3D models and tutorials for computer exercises in Modern computer graphics
Gros, Jan ; Frenštátský, Petr (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The content of this thesis is to introduce with the issues taught in the course MGMP and create tutorials and 3D models in Blender for computer exercises of course MGMP. The first part is devoted to some similar courses taught at universities in the Czech Republic. Another parts are dealing with the method of Catmull-Clark subdivision surfaces, texture mapping issues, issues of curves and animation of objects with using curves. The last part is about shading 3D models and about various methods which have been developed and are in use to this day. The output of work are video tutorials and models for MGMP course, dealing with different parts of the thesis.
Usage of bypass diodes for photovoltaics modules
Chocholáč, Jan ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with usage of bypass diodes in photovoltaic panels. Familiarize us with principles of photovoltaic modules and functions, their electrical characteristics and features. The central objective of this work is description of influence of bypass diodes on particularly shading photovoltaic panels and its volt-ampere characteristics. By the help of created software in Agilent VEE 8.0 simulate the shading panel and compare with real measurement.
Computer-aided method of analytic surfaces modelling
Stodola, Jakub ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Martišek, Dalibor (advisor)
The first part of the thesis deals with projections of points from an Euclidean space into a plane and displaying of the resulted planar points on a computer. The second part focuses on a discretization of analytically specified surfaces. This is an approximation with network points. Due to the previous part, we are able to display them on a computer. The third part is dedicated to various types of coating fillings. Finally, the software solution is added.
Algorithm for Calculation of Radiation View Factors
Bílek, Tomáš ; Hlavička, Rudolf (referee) ; Čermák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with a calculation of radiation view factors. The thesis includes mathematical model of the problem and its numerical solution. The main aim of the thesis is the creation of an algorithm for calculation of radiation view factors for given 3D geometries and its application for the heat flux analysis. CAD models of geometries, specified by a NASTRAN file format, are used as an input of the algorithm. Matrix of radiation view factors serves then as an output of the algorithm. The algorithm is programmed in MATLAB, but STAR-CCM+ is used for the NASTRAN specification of separate models. The algorithm is also designed for a computation on a computer cluster for cases of intricate geometries with consideration of shading areas.
Developement of Terrain Representation Methods
FIALOVÁ, Martina
This bachelor?s dissertation is concerned with the representation of the terrain relief methods and elementary division and description of terrain shapes. The target of this work is to present the terrain representation forms and their historical development to readers. The methods are evaluated according to the possibilities of obtaining information about heights.
