Screen Sharing
Radimák, Samuel ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
The following bachelor thesis is dedicated to the description of methods for a desktop sharing and possibilities which these methods provide. In the beginning, principles connected with the concept of desktop sharing are explained. Moreover, there are described various solutions, which had already existed before my research. In addition, fundamental protocols for the transfer of the screen and main differences between them are mentioned. The most extensive part is devoted to the design and the implementation of an application for screen sharing. The application is split into two parts, a client and a server. The development is described with the use of UML (Unified Modeling Language). For the transport of the screen, RFB (Remote Framebuffer) protocol has been chosen. In advance, reduced description of this protocol is mentioned in this text. The developed application is tested and compared to other existing solutions. Finally, areas where improvements are possible are stated.
File exchange on the internet
Tropp, Peter ; Pelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The main aim of my thesis was the TCP/IP protocol issue and the data transfer over the internet using FTP protocol. The thesis is demonstrating the main settings of a server, his functionality and it further describes the development and use of HTML and PHP protocols in my created application. The final chapter of my thesis explaining the resolution of web application interfaces for complex work with and portability in virtual environments.
Implementation of New Terminal Nodes to the Company and it’s Management
Lukeš, Pavel ; Šumbera, Tomáš (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of company’s MBG, spol. s r.o. problems, following with teoretical basis for these problems and in the end, it suggests the solutions. These problems are insufficient monitoring, any of used technology are old and absent of any information security management system. The first part is focused on a teoretical basis for the described problems, the second part will completely analyze all mentioned problems of a company. Final part will contain a solution for every company’s problem, based on theory and analysis with taking care about company’s demand too.
Network Interface for Keyword Spotting System
Skotnica, Martin ; Glembek, Ondřej (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
A considerable part of the research in computer science is dedicated to speech recognition as the speech-controlled systems become useful in many applications. One of them is the keyword spotting which makes possible to find words in audio data. Such a detector is developed at BUT Faculty of Information Technology. The goal of this work is to propose a network interface to this keyword detector based on client/server architecture. Client connects to the server and sends audio data. Server runs keyword detector with this received data and sends the result of keyword spotting back to client. Finally client visualizes the result and interact with user.
Geologic Well Data Processing, Transformation and Administration
Kováč, Jakub ; Boráň, Pavel (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is concerned with the geophysical data processing, transformation and administration of a small company for purpose of constant access to an actual informations. The thesis presents solutions with consider on security, reliability and economics of a whole problem.
Real-Time Displaying Quality Maps of Silicon Wafers
Mareček, Matěj ; Přibyl, Bronislav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a software system that can collect real-time data from measurements of silicon wafers. There could be tens or hundreds data sources of measurements and data from these measurements can be rendered (also in real time). This work contains a description of the process of manufacturing and testing of integrated circuits. Subsequently, there is description of system architecture design, interior architecture of real-time server and GUI of client application. In the last section, there is shown how rendering of silicon wafers was implemented on platform JavaFX 2.2 and also implementation of hybrid multi-threading server architecture.
Entrepreneurial scheme place of business
Sieczka, Pavel ; Ing.Tomáš Matejov (referee) ; Rompotl, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with entrepreneurial scheme of the firm for change of present unsuitable spaces and information system. By means of financial analysis determines, if the firm is finance able enough for the change and if the firm can afford the change and what will bring the change to this firm. Afterwards the suitable variant of the change is recommended and also costs, benefits and risks connected with this change are determinated.
NNTP Server as a Windows Network Service
Loupanec, Josef ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This work includes specification and analysis of requirements, design and implementation of the internet news server. The server controls newsgroups and associated news. It provides availability of the articles by NNTP protocol and HTTP protocol (by web interface). The server supports a user authentication and an optional proxy mode, when all NNTP requests are resent to another remote NNTP server.  A mechanism that provides news-downloading from remote NNTP servers and performs distribution function is included too. The application is designed to run on MS Windows NT (and higher version) as a NT service. The server is configurable by a graphic user interface. The work also includes theoretical information needed for successful accomplishment of the above-mentioned requirements.
Client-Server Application for DEVS-Based Modelling and Simulation
Brázdil, Martin ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes the analysis, design and implementation of an application for DEVS-based modelling and simulation. It is a client-server application, where the client is implemented as a seperate desktop Java application. Server is based on the Smalltalk language (more precisely, Squeak) and builds on existing application SmallDEVS. The reader is acquainted with the basics of discrete event systems specification (DEVS) and Petri nets used for modeling and simulation. The thesis is also dedicated to the design of user-friendly graphical interface on the client side, respectively editor.
Linux OS Monitoring
Korček, Juraj ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is design and implementation of monitoring tool for GNU/Linux operating systems. This program monitors logs created by system, system load and computer resources. It notifies system administrator in case of high system load, abnormal behavior or when an error occurs. The resulting product is especially aimed for system administrators of GNU/Linux, whose work will be simplified due to this software utility, which sends notification of only important system changes. It is implemented in scripting language Python and divided into smaller independent scripts for easy implementation of new scripts in the future. This programming language was chosen to ensure operation among all GNU/Linux distributions.
