The History of a Parish Stará Říše in the First Half of 20th Century

This thesis describes the transformation of a parish life in Stará Říše in the context of historical events of the first half of the 20th century. This historical period represents the parish at the beginning of the new millennium, in the reflection of the first world war, a more peaceful period of the First Republic, then the 2nd World War and finally shows the changes brought by the new politico-economic structure of society. This thesis also focuses on the development of the parish under the patronage of the nearby Premonstratensian monastery in Nová Říše, under whose administration the parish always historically belonged. Finally, the attention is paid to the personality of Josef Florian, who is widely known for his publishing activities. His Publisher attracted many artists and writers into Stará Říše, on the other hand, his point of views became a source of disagreement between him, local people and monastery.
Wives of Permanent Deacons in the Contemporary Context of the Czech Church: Their Position and Role in the Sphere of Ministering of their Husbands in the Dioecese of Hradec Králové

In its first part, the present thesis deals with the history and development of the deacon service in Church. It consists of distinguishing of terms such as marriage, priesthood, celibacy and diaconate. Furthermore, it deals with the role and the importance of clergymen celibacy and the development of the ecclesiastical attitude towards women. The second part focuses on the impact of the deacon service on the family life of the permanent deacons and it examines the way it is perceived by their wives. The findings are based on the results of questionnaires and they are subsequently arranged into individual sections. The sections consist of the parts called "I (deacon's wife)" - "Children" - "Parish" - "Clergy". The aim of the thesis was gained with the assessment and the classification of the research results based on questionnaires and their subsequent presentation. The presentation conducts a survey of the situation in such families from the perspective of the permanent deacons' wives, in other words, it charts the situation of the families whose father is a permanent deacon.
The development of parish network in the context of the history settlement

Dissertation deals with the example of several areas of model development and reconstruction parochial parish boundaries in the Middle Ages. The research is based on medieval sources and retrospective projection of early modern sources. From the area archdeaconry Kouřimský selected two model areas on the territory of colonization was largely up during the Middle Ages colonization in the 13th century. This is an area of medieval deanery Havlíčkobrodský and territories Černokostelecko. For these areas were used except few medieval sources, particularly sources of the 17th and 18th centuries. As the last model was selected area Prague's Old Town, where you can watch unlike the previous two model areas dense network of church and its development since the early Middle Ages. The main reason for choosing Old Town is unusually rich source base, which may be used for the reconstruction of the parish network use to bridge basic source hiatus, with which science is usually encountered in the pre-season in attempts to reconstruct the parish boundaries in an area in the surface scale. The History of the Church and Parish in Želina until 1784

This bachelor thesis focuses on the history of the church of Saint Lawrence in Želina. The aim of the whole thesis is to find out a line of names of parsons or local chaplains. The medieval period is depicted mostly on the basis of edited sources and literature. The main focus of this thesis is concentrated on the early modern era of the church, which is based on the study of archive records of religious and secular origin. For this period the attendance is also devoted to construction activities, changes of equipment of the church and to the religious life of the parish. The conclusion concentrates on other religious monuments of the parish.

Řehlovice 1880-1970

This thesis is looking into the history of the village Řehlovice in the Northbohemian region in years 1880 - 1970. This village was located till the end of the Second World War deep in the mostly by Germans inhabited territory named Sudetenland. The thesis wants in the time span study the changes of the local social conditions and the constitution of the inhabitants and other interesting themes whose are related to the situation before and after the Second World War which was a big turning point. In this time span changes the peaceful coexistence of two nations under the influence of the Nazi-ideology. This is the culmination point of the thesis, because it gains information from in German written and from in Czech written and till today unpublished eleven local chronics. It shows data and stories from small locality which could help to map unresearched places of history. The result of the thesis is a close look on these data and their evaluation. Parts of the thesis are illustrative graphs and illustrations taken from unpublished sources. They were given from the Czechs that staid but also from the deported Germans. Years after 1948 are briefly adapted for the comparison. Information about local education, parish and the gathering of deported Germans are situated in separated chapters.

Bachelor thesis titled Current church choirs in Prague deals with the characterization and description of ten mixed choirs, aktive at major temples in Prague. The content of the chapters focuses on the history of the choirs, their location, organizational structure, repertoire, released CDs, atmosphere and cooperation within the choirs and parishes. Interviews with the choirmasters, a survey with the members of the choirs and other available materials are the sources of information for my thesis. The outcome of this work is to summarize and compare the obtained information.
The work of laymen - volunteers in the parish of Chlumec nad Cidlinou

The thesis focuses on the activity of laymen - volunteers in the Chlumec church community in the period after November 1989 in the context of their contribution to fulfilling the mission of the church. The work is divided into four main chapters. The aim of the first chapter is to expound the role of the church in the present-day world and to describe its four functions. Dealing with the church community, the second chapter clarifies various aspects of how the church community may be perceived, and identifies its mission in the sphere of spreading the Gospel and work for those in need. To be found in the third chapter is a detailed description of the work of laymen in the church of Chlumec nad Cidlinou, whose service contributes to fulfilling both the parish functions as well as certain expectations of the neighbouring local community. The objective of the fourth chapter is to map out the hitherto unexplored activities of the Parish charity in Chlumec nad Cidlinou and its volunteer work, the curative stay of the Chernobyl children. During the particular period, these activities were carried out above all by the laymen - volunteers and represented a significant part of diaconia in the church community.
