Evaluation of the solar system in VUT Fast

The main purpose of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of the solar system at the BUT FCE and the application of the topic on the specified building. The specified building was the story cellarless kindergarten with flat roof. There were proposed two variants of applications of the solar collectors: the solar heating of warm water or combination of solar heating of warm water with the support of heating.

This bachelor thesis deals with the calculation of the heat loss in a single- storey family house. The calculation is done in detail for every room. After calculation there is a suggestion of a heating system and source of heat. Next part of the thesis presents a real technology of the heating in a family house. Prices of the real and ideal systems are also compared.

Thesis deals with the usage of energy from recoverable resources. Theoretical part of thesis includes the description of the utilisation of heating pumps, solar radiation and biomass. This bachelor´s thesis deals with the alcohols used by the non-freezing heat transfer fluid. Were compared alcohols methanol, ethanol, ethane-1,2-diol, propane-1,2-diol and propane-1,3-diol. The substances were examined mainly from the toxicological point of view and negative impacts on human health. Toxic substance was determined by ethane-1,2-diol. Propane-1,2-diol is the most used substance in the market which is non-toxic.
Energy performance of kindergarten

The bachelor’s thesis elaborates two energy performance certificates of kindergarten in the variant for the current status and the new state. The theoretical part deals with solar collectors. Computational part contains specification of building structures and power systems. It always includes a comparison of the default and the new state. The economic assessment is determined by the return on investment in revitalization. As part of the mandatory analysis of alternative sources, a proposal for a solar system for partial hot water heating will be established. The project part contains two processed EPCs (building energy performance certificate) for this building.

Theoretical part includes overview of possible ways using alternative energy sources, especially solar energy and energy environment - heat pumps. Partical part is devoted to solution of environmental-friendly heating and heating warm water for family house using solar system. The proposal is documented with economic evaluation and calculation of economic return.
The Apartment house

The aim of the diploma thesis is to design a new apartment house in Vrchlabí. The project has three parts: the architectural and structural part (for building permission), the building services part and the third part dealing with the thermal assessment of two types of foundation. Structural system of the building is a platform frame with joist floor and warm flat roof. The building has two height levels. The main accommodation area is higher than the area with wellness. The building has two floors with different purposes. The ground floor provides wellness centre (sauna, pool with cold water, enjoying shower bath and relaxing zone), massage room and a gym. The second floor comprises four apartments. The heat source are two heat pumps with an auxiliary gas boiler. The building is mechanically ventilated with recovery system. 30 solar thermal collectors installed on the flat roof cover 49 % of energy needed for domestic hot water heating. The heat sources are designed in such a way, that each one of them (heat pumps/gas boiler) can cover the heating energy demand, but only the apartment section will be in operation. If sources work simultaneously for both sections, they are not oversized. The third part of the thesis assesses thermal parameters of two assembly details of foundations of the building – a traditional foundation strips and a foundation slab on foam glass. The foundation on foam glass would work slightly better in terms of surface temperatures, but it´s more demanding on implementation. That's why I chose the foundation strips.
Evaluation of energy consumption of the football changing rooms

Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of energy intensity football dressing rooms. The result is energy performance certificatee and subsequently energy report. I suggest some measures for improving the energy characteristics of the building, or to improve the building envelope or to reduce heat consumption for heating HW. Subsequently these measures were economically evaluated.
