Dynamics of the Development of the Slovak Party System

The bachelor thesis deals with the dynamics of the development of the party system in Slovakia from 1992 to the last parliamentary elections of 2016. Various methods are used to measure the party system dynamics, by means of which it is possible to determine the intensity of changes and the trends arising from them. The analysis is based on the results of the elections for each period, on the basis of which the selected comparative indicators are applied. The evaluation of the results of the analysis will also be included in the basic typology of party systems, but this is not the main purpose of the work. The empirical indicators chosen are the volatility index, the effective page number index and the aggregation index. The given indexes are chosen based on the criteria of classification of party systems. Legal regulation of the position of political parties in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to explore and evaluate legal position of political parties in the Czech Republic and its historical development. This thesis deals with political party law in a narrow sense, particularly with constitutional arrangement and the Political Parties Act. According to the Constitution of the Czech Republic our political system is based on a competition of political parties, despite this fact not enough attention is usually devoted to their position in a legal system. This text uses an interdisciplinary approach combining mainly legal and political science. The thesis contains seven chapters and moves from general to specific. The first chapter deals with the term political party. Firstly it observes it from the prism of social sciences then it moves to political science definitions and in the end it extracts legal definitions and characterizes a private law nature of parties. Second chapter is about functions of political parties both in general and according to the law. The third chapter describes in detail the development of legal position of political parties from the year 1852 to the present time. The Selected Aspects Affecting Formation of the Pension Policy in the Czech Republic in 1990-2017

1 Abstract The diploma thesis focuses on defining the factors that significantly influence the frame of the pension reform in years 1990-2017. It observes the evolution of the predominant discourses relevant to each period, as well as the role of political parties, both from the point of view of individual governments and during their activity within the expert committees focusing on adjustments to the pension system. The thesis analyses the election programmes of political parties and movements, which are then confronted with the submitted variants within the I Bezděk Committee and the Expert Committee on Pension Reform. There is also a role analysis of other selected participants, who significantly contributed to the creation of possible reform options. The thesis finds answers to the set hypotheses dedicated to the issue of political parties and their interest and possible consistency in the field of pension reform. The impact of the created coalitions on the deviations from the originally declared intentions and the expert committee's influence on the possible form of the pension reform are discussed, too. Political party manifesto is one of the most significant ways of communication between a party and the citizens. In these documents, the parties present their values and ideological background as well as their priorities in current political issues. This master thesis deals with the topic of Civic Democratic Party and comparasion of its manifestos. Civic Democratic Party has been established in 1991. former Czechoslovakia. Until 2017 there has been created almost 30 different party manifestos. In this qualitative case study, the manifestos topics have been described, as well as its changes during these years. The analysis has been primarily focused on the topics of Economics and European integration. According to theoretical frame, we assume that the changes are made only in case of the significant changes of political environment. We also focus on the process of change, as the impact of party Conventions and Expertise. This analysis has been primarily based on the interviews made with current and past members of the party.

Contemporary modern political parties and their media presentation.

In this thesis will be studied the modern political parties and their media presentation. The thesis focuses on the relations between political parties, business sector and journalism. The author tries to answer the question, what do the political parties do to create positive image in the media, especially in the media of public servis. The studies of this thesis wil be done on the basic principles of text analysis using the lingvistical classification of illocutionary and perlocutionary acts. The thesis also focuses on the journalistic ethics, the new theories of the media studies and new types of political parties, especially the libertarian parties (according to Herbert Kitschelt) and business political parties as are defined the first of all by Jonathan Hopkin a Caterina Paolucci. The practical part discusses the elections to the Parliament of the Czech Republic held in 2013 or in 2017. Only those parties which have crossed the electoral clause are being examined in the thesis.
Analysis of the electoral campaign in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic in 2017: a case study of the Pirates'party

The main goal of this master thesis is to analyse the election campaign of the Czech Pirate Party in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in 2017. Even though the Pirate Party have participated in several elections since 2009, the election in 2017 brought the greatest electoral success. Nowadays, the external experts from various fields participate in the pre-election campaigns of the parties. Such cooperation usually lasts only during the pre-election campaign and it ends after the elections. These experts create campaign strategies and plans, train party leaders in communication, provide brand analyses, etc. The primary objective of this thesis is to analyse how the campaign of the Czech Pirate Party was conducted in 2017, whether they collaborated with external experts and what elements they had in their campaign.
