The next part descripes the influence of the gasifitation medium composition on the properties of the generated gas. The experimental part is devoted to gasification of biomass on a fluidized bed generator, where the effect of CO2 concetration in the gasification medium on the properties of the generated gas is investigated. In the final part is the evaluation of the results.
Field sensor network for microclimatological measurements
Separation and storage of CO2
Odložilík, Martin ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to clarify the methods for CO2 capture and storage as an option to limit global warming. The first part is further explained by a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect, there is illustrated his principle, the effects of climate change, the main factors increasing its intensity and its possible reduction. Framework of the second part is description of the technologies and methods of CO2 capture and storage, the individual steps in these processes and also the possible development in the future. Next chapter discusses the pilot research programs and application of referred technologies to in practice. The last part of this work is devoted to the economical aspect of the problems.
Analysis of thermodynamic cycles of heat pumps
Vendrame, Katia ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on heat pumps for residential applications and their functioning. The theoretical part describes components of heat pump and briefly discusses energy sources that can be used. The types of refrigerants, which are currently used in heat pumps, are discussed: except to the broadly used HFC refrigerants, also the use of carbon dioxide is described. Further, the theoretical part includes the theory of thermodynamical cycles used in heat pumps. In the practical part a computer program for a fundamental thermodynamic analysis of heat pumps was created. The functionality and applicability of the program are demonstrated in the solution fo several problems.
Indoor environment in assembly halls
Janeček, Tomáš ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the creation of indoor air and requirements on it, describes the components of the internal environment, in particular the formation of carbon dioxide and its properties. It also deals with the experimental measurement of the concentration of carbon dioxide in the classrooms and the subsequent evaluation according to the valid legal regulations. In the last part, I dealt with a proposal for the creation of internal systems that are specified by the building.
CO2 Sources and Emission Trading System
Valentová, Helena ; Sitek, Tomáš (referee) ; Elbl, Patrik (advisor)
This thesis deals with issues of carbon dioxide emissions, its sources and legislation related to emission trading. The first part of the thesis provides basic information about carbon dioxide and its production. The second part summarizes sectors that emit the most carbon dioxide. The last part describes the international legislation related to emission allowances and carbon trading.
System for Opening a Window Based on the Temperature and CO2 Concentration in the Room
Jůza, Tadeáš ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Tisovčík, Peter (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to enable an automated maintenance of fresh air in a room. Using automated ventilation, so the smallest possible heat losses occur. The data from sensors of indoor and outdoor temperature, CO2, humidity, and window opening status have been collected and analyzed. Then a suitable algorithm has been selected to accomplish the required values. The program also contains an algorithm for predicting the system's behavior so the controlled appliances (window and heating) work together appropriately.
Energy conservation in ventilation of buildings
Sláčík, Ondřej ; Kolbábek, Antonín (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with various forms of building ventilation, especially energy conservation in ventilation. The first part focuses on the factors that influence the quality of indoor environment. The second section describes the concepts of ventilation and basic distribution of different ventilation methods. Another section deals with heat losses associated with ventilation. The last part deals with the various measures that leads to reduction of energy losses of ventilation, it is mainly controlled ventilation based on CO2 and heat recover.
Ecological problems energetics CR
Šilar, Martin ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This project presents the current status of power resources and supply in the Czech Republic and examines its different connections with ecology. The existing situation in energetics is described in the first chapter of the thesis. This chapter contains general information as well as an analysis of the progress to date related to the structure of installed power and to the amount of electricity generation and their consumption. The description of the common influence of energetics on the environment is provided in the following chapter, which also introduces the next step, namely a short survey of the characteristics of the currently used energy resources and their direct relationship to the monitored ecological problems. The practical part of the project is based on the calculation of emission in the fifteen biggest thermal power station in the Czech Republic. The calculated amounts of emission are compared with the related features of nuclear waste. The last chapter contains information about the EU legislation concerning the reduction of carbon dioxide. In this respect, there are presented also the measures planned to facilitate the reduction of carbon dioxide in Czech Republic.
Structure and properties of physically foamed polymer nanocomposites
Kotoučková, Simona ; Ondreáš, František (referee) ; Lepcio, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with physically foamed polymer nanocomposites. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with various possibilities of preparation of polymer foams. Another important problematics on which the theoretical part focuses is the ability to control the spatial organization of nanoparticles in a polymer matrix. For the experimental part, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) was used as a model system, and it is assumed that it will be possible to based on the obtained conclusions on research in more complicated systems with a wider practical application potential such as polypropylene impact-copolymer (ICPP). The experimental part focuses on optimalization of the process of preparing nanocomposite foam. The object of optimization is to determine the appropriate saturation time when maximum carbon dioxide saturation is achieved under a given pressure. The effect of nanoparticles on the process of saturation and foaming was analyzed by comparing nanocomposites with the preparation of pure polymer foams. On the prepared foam samples, the shape stability during foaming and the dimensional stability after foaming at elevated temperature were evaluated. The effect of nanoparticles on the resulting structure of porous material was evaluated. This effect was demonstrated by the preparation and evaluation of acquired SEM images of a laminar structure sample containing a composite and a pure polymer layer.
