Hybrid motorcycles represent opportunity in reducing fuel consumption and emissions of motorcycles, but also in increasing overall performance parameters while preserving the original propulsion unit. The thesis deals with the design solution of a hybrid motorcycle and its simulation in various operating modes. The model is compared to a conventional motorcycle model, and the differences between both concepts are observed. Simulations have shown higher acceleration and lower fuel consumption in the hybrid concept for most tests, except for highway traffic. The largest difference in fuel consumption of hybrid motorcycle was evident in urban traffic, where the use of a hybrid motorcycle proved to be suitable.
Transmissions of Passenger Cars with Hybrid Drive
Vaňourek, Jakub ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with transmission systems of passenger cars with a hybrid drive. The main reason for choosing this topic was its topicality. With increasingly strict emission standards, hybrid cars are coming to the fore. The first part of the thesis deals with the division of hybrid drives into individual categories according to the selected criteria. An example of a specific solution is then given for the individual categories and its construction, functionality and its advantages and disadvantages compared to cars with an internal combustion engine are described. In the following chapters, more complex hybrid systems are described in more detail in connection with construction and functionality. The conclusion is dedicated to evaluating the mentioned hybrid systems and outlining their potential use in the future.
Analysis of on farm maize production systems and suggestions for improvement
ŠIMKOVÁ, Libuše
Maize is currently one of the most important feed crops. If we want to grow it effi-ciently, we should spend enough time selecting a suitable plot, seed and sowing date. When selecting the sowing date, it is important to achieve a temperature of 8 °C at sowing depth. The maize is sown at a depth of 3-4 cm and can be sown in conventional rows (75 cm), narrow rows (35 cm) or twin rows. Maize is a slow-growing crop, so it is important to pay attention to mechanical or chemical weed control. When harvesting maize for silage, the whole plant can be harvested or the split harvesting technique of CCM and LKS can be used. The hybrids WELAS, PERSEUS and AKANTO were evaluated. WELAS is a double line (Sc), early hyb-rid (FAO 240) and PERSEUS is a triple line (Tc), early hybrid (FAO 250). The PERSEUS hybrid was able to give a higher yield than WELAS in the plots evalu-ated. The hybrid used, agrotechnique and soil moisture availability had the greatest effect on yield.
Vliv výživy a prostředí na masnou užitkovost kuřecích brojlerů
HOUSKOVÁ, Lucie
The nutrition of chicken hybrids is very popular. There are already predictions that chicken meat will become one of the most consumed. The reasons may be the price, taste or composition and easy digestibility of chicken meat. Short fattening of broiler chickens and low space requirements is an indisputable advantage for breeders. The work is focused on the basic building elements important for the fattening of chicken hybrids. The practical part consists in fattening two groups of broilers in a home environment, each time in the same environment but in a different season. These results were compared with comparison groups in conventional breeding. During the experiment, it was found that when fattening in the warm season with access to the outdoors, even higher results can be achieved than in conventional breeding. On the contrary, it was proven that the group without access to the out-doors did not even achieve average gains in the colder period.
Analýza ukazatelů výkrmnosti u kuřecích hybridů
ČEDÍKOVÁ, Kristýna
The aim of this thesis was to analyse fattening parameters in chicken hybrids at a particular farm. 256 batches (7 836 986 chickens) were included into the study. 56 batches were carried out in years 2016 and 2018. Remaining 48 batches were carried out in years 2017, 2019 and 2020. The Ross hybrid 308 was fattened during all the mentioned years. However, the Cobb 500 hybrid was fattened only in years 2016 (13%), 2018 (25%) and 2019 (29%). Both hybrids showed nearly the same feeding length (Cobb 500 hybrid 0.28 days shorter), live weight (Cobb 500 hybrid 0.03 kg higher) and feed conversion ratio per kg of weight gain (Cobb 500 hybrid 0.02 kg lower). The Cobb 500 hybrid showed 0.52% higher mortality (p < 0.05) and 14.6 points higher efficiency feeding index (EFI), (p < 0.05). The shortest feeding length was in year 2017 (33.15 days) and the longest in year 2016 (p < 0.05). The live weight showed an upward trend from year 2016 (1.98 kg) to 2018 (2.19 kg). However, in years 2019 and 2020 the live weight stagnated on the value of 2.18 kg. The lowest feed mixture consumption per 1 kg of weight gain was in year 2019 (1.47 kg), and the highest in year 2016 (1.61 kg; p < 0.05). The lowest mortality was recorded in 2017 (2,90%) contrary to year 2018 (3,64%). The difference was 0,74% (p < 0.05). The efficiency feeding index (EFI) was growing between years 2016 (353.3 points) to 2019 (431.9 points). Then in year 2020 it dropped to 427.7 points. The dependence between the age of parents in the parent stock and live weight of chickens was moderate (r = 0.38; p < 0,001). Correlation relationship between the live weight of chickens at the age of day 1 and day 33 was medium (r = 0.60; p < 0.001). The lowest mortality rate from all the batches was in the first batch of 2016 (1.31%). On the contrary, the highest mortality rate was recorded during the fourth batch of year 2018 (4,30%).
Phylogenetic and seasonal patterns in the microbiome of mosquito vectors
KLEIN, Amelie
The aim of this thesis was to identify phylogenetic and seasonal patterns in mosquitoes' microbiome. Thereby, the season around summer was targeted and the species Culex pipiens with the two forms pipiens and molestus as well as their hybrid form were of interest. For the microbiome analysis, the 16s rRNA gene was targeted in individual samples.
Overview of Rally Racing Vehicles
Listoň, Martin ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on compiling an overview of race cars for rally car competitions at the national and international level and the division of vehicles into specific categories. Subsequently, the technical modifications of vehicles of individual categories are briefly described. Furthermore, the representation of individual manufacturers and their market share is summarized. The next part is a statistical overview of vehicles in terms of age and modern technology. The aim of this work is to analyze the market and find out in which potential production area a new producer could succeed.
NATO's Deterrence strategy: causes of shortcomings when facing Russian hybrid strategy
Ellis, Joseph ; Ludvík, Jan (advisor) ; Hynek, Nikola (referee)
The Relationship between Russia and NATO is a subject which finds itself continuously popular and relevant throughout discussion of international security. Yet, there is relatively large disagreements on how a conflict between the two actors would play out and how strong their given strategies are, in this case being how successful or strong should NATO's deterrence strategy be considered. Due to this, this paper will explore the main point of: What are the causes or reasonings behind the shortcomings of NATO deterrence strategy when facing a Russian Hybrid Strategy? In order to explore this, a deeper look is undertaken into the strengths of weaknesses behind both Russian and NATO capabilities and credibility within their given strategies. Furthermore, the primary region which will be explored within the relationship between Russia and NATO is that of the Baltic states, as this is the most likely area which NATO's deterrence strategy will be tested by Russian hybrid Warfare. This exploration will use qualitative studies along with wargaming scenarios which take into account the joint hybrid and conventional nature of Russia's hybrid strategy. Through this analysis, several causes of shortcomings are identified. These causes are the weakness derived from the chosen deterrence theory model undertaken...
