Emulation of DPDK Running on an NXP Processor in the QEMU System
Postolka, Matěj ; Dražil, Jan (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This project deals with the emulation of the networking features of the NXP QorIQ LS2088A processor for the purpose of testing Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) applications. These networking features are emulated as a virtual PCI device in the QEMU machine emulator. This PCI device is compatible with the DPDK and supports the features offered by the original NXP QorIQ LS2088A hardware, thus providing a virtual environment for testing DPDK applications designed for the original NXP QorIQ LS2088A hardware.
Universal Emulation Platform for Checking the Designs of the Integrated Circuits
Podzemný, Jakub ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This work deals with verification possibilities of integrated circuits, especially with hardware emulation. The first part of the text briefly describes designing process of an integrated circuit, which includes emulation using emulation platforms. The main part of this work deals with the innovation of the emulation platform, which is used by SCG Czech Design Center s. r. o. Possible ways to improve the current emulation platform are explored and further taken into account when designing a universal emulation platform. Last part of this work deals with functional verification of the proposed universal emulation platform. Functionality will be verified by emulation of the basic control functions of the NCP1246 circuit.
Emulator of Amiga A500 Home Computer in FPGA
Biberle, Zdeněk ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work takes a look at existing hardware reimplementations of the Amiga 500 home computer and examines the possibility of implementing a similar solution based on the Minerva a and Pipistrello development platforms. The result of this work is an emulator od the Amiga 500 based on a combinator of both platforms.
Long-term Preservation of Web Content
Kvasnica, Jaroslav ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor) ; Souček, Martin (referee)
This work describes the long term preservation of digital documents, particularly websites. The aim of this work is to give an explanation of the long term preservation, to define the differences between various approaches and to describe long term preservation of web content possibilities such as migration or emulation. It also explains risks and challenges of these strategies. It discusses new problems which the long term preservation aim leads to. It also describes possible solutions as well as it describes the situation in selected significant foreign institutions. The main aim of this work is detailed analysis of long term preservation strategy in theNational Library of the Czech Republic, which is the only institution engaged in the preservation of Czech web. The process of data preparation, metadata creation and data storing in the long term repository of the Czech National Library is thoroughly described, including examples and their explanation. Future actions of long term preservation in the Czech Web Archive are articulated in the conclusion. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Port of QEMU to HelenOS
Mareš, Jan ; Děcký, Martin (advisor) ; Škoda, Dominik (referee)
QEMU is a machine emulator that is able to emulate environment of various hardware platforms, including PC, PowerPC, ARM and SPARC. The goal of this master thesis is to port QEMU to HelenOS, thus allowing developers run the emulation of HelenOS inside HelenOS. The thesis contains a detailed analysis of the possible porting approaches (including the port of prerequisite libraries or their replacements) and an analysis of the features of QEMU (a reasonable subset of all features of QEMU) that are essential for achieving the goal and features that can be omitted in the prototype implementation. The primary focus of the implementation is to support the PC (x86 and x86-64) guest environment. Although not part of the prototype implementation, the thesis also focuses on analyzing the requirements for running QEMU as a virtualization hypervisor in HelenOS. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Virtualisation tools in theory and practice
Vodrážka, Darek ; Halbich, Čestmír (advisor) ; Vostrovský, Václav (referee)
Bachelor thesis is dedicated to virtualization problematic in which solves reasons and advantages of using it alongside with introducing types, methods and virtualization products. It presents two of the main representatives of server virtualization tools -- Microsoft Hyper-V which is part of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 and VMware vSphere. It is focused on practical use and administration of Hyper-V with emphasis on presenting main functions and features in context of model company.
Virtualisation tools in theory and practice
Kotalík, Jiří ; Halbich, Čestmír (advisor) ; Vostrovský, Václav (referee)
Bachelor thesis is focused on virtualization technologies nowadays. Thesis summarizes contribution and posible savings resulting from deploying virtualization technologies. Theoretical part of thesis describes basic approaches to virtualization and practical part shows the usage of Virtualization tools in model company. Thesis continously compares Virtualization tools from Microsoft and VMware.
User interface emulator of thermoregulator
Viták, Jan ; Šír, Michal (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis User Interface Emulator of Thermoregulator is to design a concept of the emulator and to implement the emulator including the software. The thesis includes description of the thermostat and the particular sensors emulated, the designed concept of the system, description of the designed circuitry and the description of the embedded software and the control software for PC. The design of circuit diagram of the emulator and the design of printed circuit board are in the attachment of this thesis.
MySQL and MS SQL Database Synchronization
Šimanovský, Filip ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
This thesis describes the synchronization of MySQL and MS SQL databases . It explores and describes differences between these two database servers and further designs and implements alghorithms for their safety and economicaly favourable synchronization . Designed methods are implemented in a console application afterwards . Two case studies are used as an illustrative of its work . The result of this thesis is a manual on how to successfully convert MySQL database to MS SQL database (and vice versa ) and the convert application itself .
Emulation of Memory Subsystems in Multiprocessor Environment
Rajčok, Andrej ; Husár, Adam (referee) ; Přikryl, Zdeněk (advisor)
This study cover problem of design of emulation platform for multiprocesors systems. This study discuss problem of multiprocessor communication, it discuss different kind of communication systems for multiprocesor communication and protocols for data coherency. One of the solutions is picked, and the design is made and implemented into integrated design enviroment.
