Connection of elektrothermal devices to the network

This thesis devotes with electrothermal devices and their behavior when connected to the network. It describes the basic types of electrothermal equipment, their structure, construction, principle of converting electrical energy into heat energy and goings that occur during their operation. It also examines the basic types and ways of dealing with compensation and symmetrization applied on different types of electrothermal equipment. It explains the basic methodology used for design of compensation and symmetrization of particular electrothermal equipment and components.

This bachelor thesis is dealing with geothermal energy problems and its potential of possible utilization in the Czech Republic. In this work, the description of technologies for utilizing geothermal energy of higher, middle and lower temperatures, is presented. The thesis also includes the description of methods for direct and cogenerative development of electrical power. At the end of this thesis, the first realized project of geothermal equipment in the Czech Republic, situated in Litoměřice, is clarified. Experimental verification of properties of circuit breaker quenching chamber

The circuit breakers are able to switch on and off automatically either the short circuit currents up to the limits of their breaking capacity. While the disconnection of the contacts in the switching devices are generated by the arc then it is needed to put it out quickly. A manner of the arcing in the electrical switching devices is influenced by several different factors. It must be taken into account the dynamics of a plasma, a current flowing in the electrodes, a flowing stream in a plasma and a magnetic field generated by a flowing current. This paper is devoted to describe the manner of the arcing in the arc chamber. The experiments carried out in an experimental way attempt to explain, specify and thoroughly comprehend the movements and the characteristics of the arc in a metal arc and in a metal enclosure circuit breaker.
Methods of investigation of tendency to spontaneous ignition of solid materials wetted with a liquid

If a solid material of large surface area is contaminated with a liquid with a propensity to low-temperature thermal oxidation (most often oil high in unsaturated fatty acids), under certain conditions it can self-ignite. To identify the tendency to self-ignition of substances, there have been developed a number of methods, such as differential Mackey test, or recommended the use of other classical methods of thermal analysis, which however are not suited for the analysis of samples of larger volume. DTA and ARC appear to be among the best methods of thermal analysis, for the evaluation of dynamic and kinetic parameters of the process of self-heating of such samples.

Station building in Vsetín

The master's thesis deals with the steel structures in building industry. The aim of this paper is to propose and statically evaluate the load-bearing steel structure of railway station in Vsetín. After solving the construction load by the roof cladding and external cladding, it follows by an assessment of individual elements of construction, including an assessment of their joints. From a static perspective, the roof structure consists of two diagonal arches which are joined into each other in the top and two longitudinals frames. The entire structure is designed with an emphasis on freedom of internal layout independent of the load-bearing structure.
Simulation of phenomena in switchgears

Aim of the thesis is to explain the issue of forces acting in circuit breaker caused by magnetic fields induced by short-circuit current. This thesis is focused on force affecting in concrete system of a circuit breaker. The given circuit breaker is made by OEZ Letohrad, the type Modeion BD250. In the thesis the way of creating 3-D model is shown for the purpose of creating numeric simulation by ANSYS 11. The next approach of the thesis is the description of applicating the results for DC and AC current calculations. The noted calculation is made in the programme MATLAB 6.5. The solutions are mentioned at calculations both in the graphic form and numeric specifications. Visualisation was made by using GIF graphic system animation. The individual pictures processing was done in the programme UNLEAD GIF ANIMATOR 5.
City of Havířov Traffic Terminal and Area in Front of the Railway Station

The main task of this thesis was to deal with the specifics of the location so that the newly proposed structure had the potential for sustainable development of all its features. In future space transport terminal station does not arise only an end in itself, but mainly there is created an interaction point, which results in a value and attractiveness of the surrounding land. Ultimately, this process has lead to a zcelení city, to enhance its attractiveness and the external and internal view of the city itself.
The steel roof structure of a hall

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design the steel roof structure of a sport hall in the area of city Olomouc. The plan dimensions of the hall are 55,0 x 35,0 m and height is 15,0 m. The solution is chosen from two preliminary variants. The roof construction is on the cross-section formed by the unbalanced circular arc. The main load bearing structure is created by planar circular lattice frames with height 1,8 m, which are hinged on the columns at one side, and on the other side tailed to the underlying structure. Between main bearing arches are solid purlins, which are radially arranged. Spatial solidity is provided by transverse and longitudinal bracings.
