Vybrané kapitoly z historie baseballu ve světě a ČR Selected chapters from baseball history in the world and the Czech Republic Cíl práce: Zpracovat prapočátky baseballu a vyřešit otázku původu baseballu, zmínit nejvýznamnější momenty ve světové historii baseballu, analyzovat historii a současnou situaci baseballu v ČR a navrhnout možnosti zlepšení situace v Česku. Metoda: Pro zpracování základních informací z historie baseballu byla v největším rozsahu použita metoda přímá, induktivní a deduktivní. Dále pak bylo použito metody diachronní progresivní, kvantitativní a komparativní. Výsledky: Mohou pomoci seznámit se s baseballovým odvětvím, blíže pak s jeho celosvětovým vývojem. Support of using date and time in programming languages

The main object of this bachelor thesis is the support of using date and time analysis in following programming languages: Java, Visual Basic, C++, C, QBasic, PL/SQL, Lisp and Prolog. This thesis is categorized into two logical blocks. First one describes different types of calendarsand differences in the date and time formatting throughout the world. There is a Czech standard ČSN ISO 8601 related to this issue that defines unified dates interpretation in international data exchange. The second block analyses available tools for working with date and time in different programming languages. The bridge between both blocks are criteria defined by main areas (support of: gregorian calendar, 24-hour clock, formatting and other calendar systems).

The Use of Audio-visual Technology in Civics Classes

Cílem mé práce bylo ukázat, že videopořady mají ve výchově к občanství své místo. Vytvořila jsem přehled nejčastěji využívaných videopořadů a ke každému z nich navrhla metodický námět pro jeho konkrétní využití v hodinách občanské výchovy. Při plnění mnou vytyčeného cíle jsem postupovala následovně: Nejprve jsem prostudovala mnoho knih a odborných prací nejen didaktického, ale i psychologického, sociologického a filosofického zaměření. Po jejich prostudování jsem se vydala na deset základních škol, kde jsem poprosila učitele občanské výchovy o seznamy videokazet, které sami nejčastěji využívají. Pouze na čtyřech základních školách jsem se setkala s opravdu velice chudou sbírkou videopořadů, která čítala průměrně pět videopořadů. Od šesti vyučujících občanské výchovy, kteří byli velice ochotní a vstřícní, jsem si vypůjčila několik videokazet s didaktickými filmy určenými žákům druhého stupně základní školy. Jejich seznam je uveden v přílohách. Každý z filmů jsem důkladně prostudovala a poté s ním začala pracovat. Nejprve jsem se zaměřila na obsahovou stránku pořadu, tedy na fakta, na jeho dynamiku a obtížnost. Při druhém sledování jsem již zvažovala možné využití pořadu či jeho částí ve vyučovacích hodinách. Labour productivity and its impact on the profit/loss of the selected company

The thesis deals with the evaluation of the impact of labor productivity on the profit/loss in the selected company. In the theoretical part are defined options of assessment of the financial situation of the company by the financial analysis. The next part of the thesis describes the problem of labour productivity and outlines procedures for the determination of the impacts on the profit/loss by the pyramid decomposition. In the practical part are used methods of financial analysis and methods of measuring produktivity to selected company. After this finding followes by defining of the factors that affect the labor productivity (quality, technical equipment, etc.). The last part focuses on defining and evaluation of the impact of labor productivity on the profit/loss in the company. The data in the thesis are drawn from the annual reports of the company for the period 2006-2010.

Highway bridge over the valley Polančice Brook

Diploma thesis deals with design pre-stressed highway bridge over the valley Polančice Brook and cart track. There are designed 4 studies, from which variantion double-chamber girder with 4 spans in chosen. It is elaborated a detailed structural analysis and bridge is considered a proposal to limit states for temporary and permanent design situations according to European standards - Eurocodes. It is developed drawings and visualization of bridge and construction process.

The topic of the thesis is work of Karel Zeman - the important Czechoslovakian film director of the second half of 20th century and his media image in the Czech media of that period. Karel Zeman is one of the leading figures of post-war cinematography, especially one of it's branch - animated film. Karel Zeman is famous for his feature films Journey to the Beginning of Time, The Fabulous World of Jules Verne and The Fabulous Baron Munchausen, in which he combined performed and animated parts. His work is so specific and so tied together with the director that after his death nobody was able to continue in it. The thesis describes in chronological way Karel Zeman's work, from the first short animated films over the most famous featured combined films to the featured animated fairy tales for children. For understanding of the whole context the thesis briefly describes beginning of animation in the world and in Czechoslovakia and also continuously touch important changes in Czechoslovakian cinematography, which directly affected Zeman's work (post-war situation, nationalization of cinematography). Vedoucí práce doc., JUDr. Jan Pichrt, Ph.D. The aim of the thesis is mainly to highlight the level of coverage by collective agreements in the CR and to analyze the impact of collective bargaining for employees and employers using available statistical data. By the evaluation of the processes of collective bargaining and focusing on its individual institutes I am looking for the perfect method of handling the collective bargaining so as to be beneficial for both parties involved, and try to present the method how the modern trade union should work in its interaction with the employer, different from the common practice of today's trade unions. I also point out the need for proper analysis of the situation prior to collective bargaining and the method of selecting strategy for negotiations. I chose the topic based on my personal experience with the representation of employees and involvement in the collective bargaining and also on the experience of participation in the EWC.

Analysis of Social and Economic Development of the Municipality Mikulov

This thesis deals with the topic covering social and economic development of the municipality Mikulov located in South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The introductory theoretical part defines the basic terms which are public administration, local government, and characteristics of the municipality and its respective authorities. Furthermore, it describes the regional development and also explains in detail the regional policy in the EU, and the Czech Republic. The final chapter of the theoretical part presents specific concepts of the regional development. The beginning of the practical part characterizes the nature of Mikulov including the history of the area. The crucial part of the thesis is the analysis of the current socio-economic situation of Mikulov with the focus on demographic characteristics, economic environment, labour market, civic amenities, culture, sport and leisure, tourism, transport and technical infrastructure, and environment. The conclusions derived from all these areas are summarized in the SWOT analysis. At the end, the thesis indentifies key recommendations on various areas for Mikulovs development.

Development of regional labour policy in Vysocina Region in 2005 - 2015

The goal of the diploma thesis is to perform an analysis of the labour market and of selected measures of active employment policies in the course of 2005 to 2015 and to evaluate its development during the observed years. The theoretical part of the thesis engages in the development of employment policies in the European Union as well as in the Czech Republic and in the characteristics of state employment policies. In the practical part of the thesis the analysis of the Vysočina region and of the regional labour market is performed. The following part analyses individual measures of employment policies and characterises new employment policy measure, "kurzarbeit". In the concluding part of the thesis recommendations leading to potential improvement of the situation on labour market in the Vysočina region are offered. The main output of the thesis is the realization that measures of active employment policies are not flexible enough to promptly react on the development of unemployment during the observed years, which was the case for example with the implementation of kurzarbeit. The analysis also shows that financing of active employment policies is heavily influenced by the funds the state receives from the European Social Fund.
